i recently visited the 'david bowie is' exhibition at the V&A in london and picked up a few souvenirs in the bowie shop. i bought this 'ziggy stardust' poster by mike joyce (above) and then wanted to know a bit more about it him. i found out that mike has published a whole book of his reimagined concert posters called 'swissted'. the bowie show has certainly raised the bar in how an exhibtion

claire heffer is a designer and illustrator from london who produces a series of drawings using an interesting line technique. claire studied graphic design at central saint martins and sells her prints through her etsy shop here.

these are some brand new works from designer caroline pratt who launched them as a range of cards and screenprints yesterday at the british craft trade fair in harrogate. the show will run until tuesday 9th if you are in the area. you can also see more from caroline at her lovely website here.

a new exhibition opens this week in leicester called 'the animal alphabet in primitive portraits' featuring the artwork of mat mabe. the portraits explore the use of primitive geometric shapes such as triangles and circles to create complex organic forms. the show runs from the 11th-22nd april and mat also has an etsy shop online here.

isak have launched their 2013 catalogue with a lovely selection of stylish photographs. new products include breadboards and fairytale posters. the designs this season called familjen, harvest, and tingleby are all inspired by family& friends, stories of old, and foraged food. for more info visit the isak website or blog.

petra wolff has a fun selection of new A6 cards for  sale in her shop for 2013 featuring cute cats, pretty birds and tribal geometrics. petra is a finnish designer who is based in dresden germany who works on freelance designs for textiles, graphics, and illustration projects. more details and designs can be found online here.

these are some of the art prints that have caught my eye recently. first are three designs by julia nielsen at a little bit of art. julia is best know for her label pryldesign. popular designer jillian phillips has created three prints for affiche moderne featuring her sweet woodland characters. below is a hand-pulled screen printed poster called 'trees, bees & teepees' featuring

san francisco based design studio 'office' have added this new 'peacock' art print to their collection. the design is double foil stamped with metallic blue and metallic gold and can be seen alongside their other works online here.

illustrator and printmaker lo cole has added two new prints to his etsy shop. eleplantation and hot dogs are limited to an edition of just 85 and can be found online here. lo has also created a special alphabet print for fellow etsy shop the imaginary press.

rooty toot have introduced a new series of limited edition prints by illustrator nathan reed, available at the rooty toot online shop.

tarik anautovic is a graphic designer and illustrator from denmark who has created a series of art prints called 'inca zoo' featuring ornately patterned animals.

juicycanvas is a new start up company creating framed art prints and stretched canvases. juicycanvas believe everything is now customizable and therefore takes an artist’s “finished” artwork and 'automagically' unlocks it for further personalization and experimentation. you can rotate, re-size and recolour the artworks. i have picked out a few favourites but there are lots more online here at

i love visiting the bhs home department to see whats new. the bright yellow bedlinen and citrus coloured homewares certainly blew away the cobwebs of the january sale and provided a fresh pop of colour for spring. here are a few snaps taken in store and at the top two lovely images of wall art and one of cushions from their handy online store.

sanna annukka is a designer whose career we have always followed here on print & pattern so i was really pleased to see that last month she released some new designs and set up her very own screen print studio. there are three brand new designs in the 'lintu' series of limited edition screenprints featuring fabulous bird designs inspired by her native finland. sanna will be hand printing more

here is a post that i didnt quite manage to squeeze in last week, featuring wall art from paperchase. if you get a chance to visit the paperchase flagship store on tottenham court road you can now find a selection of art prints. amongst those included are prints from happy spaces, alison hardcastle, and wall decals from rob ryan.

roddy & ginger are having a 25% off sale in their etsy shop until 20th july and this gave me the perfect excuse to showcase some of their latest designs. i especially loved the mid century colours and pattern of 'twister' shown above and below.

just in time for the london olympics heals have introduced these fabulous london prints by illustrator and artist lucie sheridan. there are four prints in the series each limited to an edition of just 35.and below a striking graphic print and a typographic world map, both from bold and noble at heals.and finally below : dog and koala prints by james brown.

finnish label polkka jam have a brand new collection called "kissanpäivät". as far as i know kissanpäivät translates as 'cat days' so i think this refers to lazy happy days where the time is your own. the collection features notepads and art prints depicting pastimes such sewing, knitting, and reading. see more collections and products from the excellent polkka jam online here.

oxford based laura felicity creates hand drawn, screen printed, & handmade wallpapers and homewares. throughout  october laura felicity will be donating 10% of all profits they make from their pink products to breast cancer care charity.
