Just before we go Christmas crazy for December I wanted to post some other store snaps today. The first are from H&M where I snapped some cute characters and fun patterns on kidswear. Black & white has been extremely popular for children's clothing and textiles this season and at H&M there were plenty to choose from. Here are some of my faves especially the variety of bears!

I spent a couple of hours in Bristol last week and managed to take a look at some of the shops in Park Street like 'Rise' and 'Guild' and also popped into the Arnolfini Gallery. I mainly visited book and record stores but still managed to find some inspiring prints and patterns. Here are my snaps from the day featuring mainly book covers, some cards and wrap, and a smattering of homewares.

I have also been looking at some of latest designs from Mini Boden's Autumn Winter children's range. The current collection includes these lovely intricate illustrations of a bird and rabbit that have been used as placement prints on tee shirts. There are also some cute framed pet portraits and as you would expect colourful graphic florals.

These super cute illustrations are all the work of designer Karen Thaco. Karen is originally from Texas, but has lived in Mexico since childhood. Now curiosity has brought her back in Texas she is working as a freelance designer with a passion for graphics and children's design. Today I have some snapshots of the latest Autumn/Winter children's clothes at Sainsbury's. They retail their clothing under the brand TU and for Autumn Sainsbury's have brought us Owls, woodland flora and fauna, and ducks in the rain. For winter there are plenty of bear designs for boys, either camping style, skiing, or in woolly hats. For girls their are Scandinavian style birds. Here are my

I came across these lovely contemporary baby products by Aden + Anais when I saw that they were being used to swaddle Stenton David Jones - David Bowie's grandson. I came across the work of French artist Hector Dexet again (after featuring a print back in 2013) whilst on holiday in Bologna last month. I saw his books in many of the city's bookshops and they looked fabulous with their simple graphic images. Designer Emily Emerson specialises in whimsical design and illustration for children. Emily has created a new pattern collection for licensing on fabrics, stationery etc. called 'Dream Circus'.
