1. KIDS DESIGN - sainsbury's TU A/W16

Today I have some snapshots of the latest Autumn/Winter children's clothes at Sainsbury's. They retail their clothing under the brand TU and for Autumn Sainsbury's have brought us Owls, woodland flora and fauna, and ducks in the rain. For winter there are plenty of bear designs for boys, either camping style, skiing, or in woolly hats. For girls their are Scandinavian style birds. Here are my

2. KIDS DESIGN - aden + anais

I came across these lovely contemporary baby products by Aden + Anais when I saw that they were being used to swaddle Stenton David Jones - David Bowie's grandson. A little bit of research later and I was able to enjoy all their other fab designs on muslin baby blankets, swaddles, bibs, onesies etc. Luckily for a Bowie baby prints include lightning bolts and black stars, as well as new arrivals

3. NEW CARDS - paper salad

'Good as Gold' is the brand new children's range by UK card publishers 'Paper Salad'. The collection includes 32 designs that all come with a neon bespoke envelope. 4. ILLUSTRATION - hector dexet

I came across the work of French artist Hector Dexet again (after featuring a print back in 2013) whilst on holiday in Bologna last month. I saw his books in many of the city's bookshops and they looked fabulous with their simple graphic images. 5. NEW WORK - emily emerson

Designer Emily Emerson specialises in whimsical design and illustration for children. Emily has created a new pattern collection for licensing on fabrics, stationery etc. called 'Dream Circus'. 7. PAPERCHASE AW16 - headgangers

8. NEW SEASON - donna wilson aw16

9. ILLUSTRATION - ben newman

Another of my Bologna discoveries was this book L'Avventura Atomica (Atomic Adventure) illustrated by London based designer Ben Newman. 16. ONLINE STORE - psikhouvanjou

After the UK bank holiday I thought I would return with some fun design items from Dutch company Psikhouvanjou. 17. CARDS - rosalind maroney

These cute cards are by designer Rosalind Maroney and were created for her Etsy Shop. Rosalind is also busy freelancing, and working on her first children's book commissions alongside her usual product work. 18. PACKAGING - matalan

Next we have some packaging that caught my eye for it's fun typography and illustrations. These designs were spotted on summer garden toys at Matalan and feature a fun combination of jungle leaves, flowers, and insects on a stylish grid. Also spotted were nice type on kraft for their outdoor sports packaging and painterly marks on craft kits.

25. PAPERCHASE - purr maids

And also today from Paperchase we have another of their 'Back to School' collections. This children's design mixes two things little girls love : kittens and mermaids to create 'Purr Maids' and features 1980's style pastels and airbrushing.
