And also from Marks and Spencer today a selection of their latest children's prints. This graphic ice cream print stood out on girls pajamas as being something original and different, and there are more interesting new arrivals with seaside patterns, colourful birds, Mexican inspired designs, animals, dinosaurs, fruit, and of course florals.

2. KIDS DESIGN - a little lovely company

These cute design are all from the Dutch based 'A Little Lovely Company'. The business was founded in 2013 by designers Judith de Ruijter & Nikki Hateley, and it has become known for it's fashionable lightbox lamps which use typography to create messages, names and slogans. 3. DESIGNER - jane foster

I was really touched last week to receive a surprise gift from designer/maker Jane Foster. Jane said she had thought of me when David Bowie died and knew I must be feeling down - so to cheer me up she created a Bowie Fan Doll. 4. DESIGNER - jonathan miller

These fun designs are artwork from illustrator/designer Jonathan Miller who has a background in kids books and children's sleepwear. Jonathan's favourite things to draw are dinosaurs, monsters and robots and he is very talented at creating fun, cute or cartoony characters. 6. HOME DECOR - ferm living

I thought I would just drop in and see what was new at ferm LIVING. I was pleased to find designs from Ingela P Arrhenius on kitchen napkins and boards, and a cute cat poster for children. Also catching my eye were the bold geometrics of the Maya range (above & below) on cushions and wall art.

8. NEW SEASON - marks & spencer kids

Next up I wanted to share some store snaps with you of my visit to Marks and Spencer's last week featuring children's prints. These bold new fruit designs on spring dresses really caught my eye. There have been lots of new arrivals since Christmas and below I have snapped a few prints in store and found some extra images online.

9. KIDS DESIGN - sainsbury's

This lovely new fruit print called Pear Blossom (below) has just arrived in Sainsbury's as part of their Spring 2016 baby range. I loved the folky feel, the flowers inside the fruits, and the orange, grey and yellow colour palette. Also catching my eye were the little shops design on a corduroy skirt and a whole collection of childrenswear featuring pandas.

10. KIDS DESIGN - playtime paris

The Playtime exhibition opened in Paris yesterday. This is the top French exhibition for buying children's prints in the 'Creatif Space' section. 12. KIDS DESIGN - mini boden

Have you seen the new Florasaurus prints from Mini Boden which have been widely publicised as the first ever dinosaur print for girls. The collection was inspired by the famous female paleontologist and fossil collector Mary Anning. 16. BOOKS - aino-maija metsola

Whilst visiting the Magma bookshop in London a few weeks ago I came across some fab children's books by designer Aino-Maija Metsola. Aino-Maija is a best known for her work with Marimekko with whom she has collaborated since 2006. 18. NEW BOOK - ingela p arrhenius

P&P favourite Ingela P Arrhenius has created a brand new children's book for French publishers Marcel & Joachim. Called 'Animaux' it's a poster sized book measuring a large 46 x 34cm and features 32 different animals illustrated in Ingela's graphic retro style. The names of the animals are of course all in French although Dutch, Italian and Spanish versions are also planned. Fingers crossed

19. WALL ART - imaginary beasts

Today's posts feature a couple of studios who work on graphic design and branding but also have their own art prints available. First up is Imaginary Beast a Columbus, Ohio based creative studio owned and operated by Rachel Dangerfield. 22. CARDS - cozy tomato for lagom

Talking of Lagom I could not resist posting these striking age cards by Japanese Illustrator Koji Tomoto also known as Cozy Tomato (who we first saw on P&P in 2006). The beautiful illustrations have a lovely retro graphic feel and feature animals from 1 to 9.

25. XMAS 2015 - the land of nod

We start the new week with some Christmas decorations to admire from The Land of Nod. As you would expect they are not your everyday traditional decorations but instead Land of Nod have worked with some of our favourite contemporary designers such as Sarah Walsh, Amy Blay, Elizabeth Olwen and Suzy Ultman to create something more unique.
