1. NEW BOOK marks & spencer

I was tipped off by Alice of the Boxbird Gallery about a new childrenswear range at Marks & Spencer for AW15 called 'Modern Folk' featuring graphic birds, folky Russian Dolls and tribal typography an feathers. 4. KIDS DESIGN - boots store snaps

Today's Print & Pattern is all about children's design as I made a visit to Boots recently. For those outside the UK Boots is a well known high street store (founded in 1849) known for their health and beauty products as well as baby merchandise. I spotted a really nice selection of placement prints and patterns on clothing in their Mini Club ranges for babies and toddlers. Here are some snaps

5. KIDS DESIGN - boden AW14

Their have been some fabulous new print arrivals at Mini Boden this Autumn. I love this colourful woodland scene (above & below) but there are so many colourful flower and bird prints this season I couldn't stop posting all the lovely images. 6. BOOK - merrilee liddiard

I spotted on the fabulous Mer Mag blog - created by Merilee Liddiard, that she has released a new book based on her wonderful  kids design projects. Called 'Playful' it will feature lots of Merilee's ideas for things to make for children to play with. 7. KIDS DESIGN - primark

Our next post today features a different aspect of kids design from Merrilee's with these prints and placements snapped in Primark. These owls on scarves really stood out to me as great mix of an old fave (the owl motif) mixed with the latest trend for tribal style.

9. ONLINE STORE - kidsdinge

Talking of cards I found some really cute ones at online shop KidsDinge. This fun shop for children's goods has cards by Bora,and Darling Clementine as well as fun bit from Ellen Giggenbach for Djeco and lovely French label Mini Labo. KidsDinge is based in The Netherlands so it has a European feel that will appeal to lots of design conscious parents.

Mibo, the a UK based design studio of printmaker and illustrator Madeleine Rogers, have launched a new series of children's books. 13. ILLUSTRATION - sara infante

Illustrator Sara Infante created a a series of five promotional postcards to promote her work at the Bologna Children's Book Fair. Sara wanted to produce illustrations with her own hand drawn lettering, and create one for each day of this worldwide event within the editorial and illustration industry. 20. LICENSING - it's a small world

Today's post features the wonderful work of Mary Blair and her 'It's a small world" creation. 21. KIDS DESIGN - kas australia

Here is another lovely design that I came across whilst in John Lewis. This colourful bedding was spotted in the children's department and is from Australian company Kas. At Kas kids the design is known as Carnival but if you look for it at John Lewis it has been named 'carousel'. 23. TOP DRAWER - robin & mould

The Top Drawer Autumn trade show has just been running in London this week and one of the labels who showcased their work to retailers was Robin & Mould. This Wiltshire based business is a favourite of mine after they appeared in the Print & Pattern Kids book. 25. ORLA KIELY - for monoprix france

Orla Kiely recently released a collaboration with French retailer Monoprix (which I read all about at French blog Earmimi.) And as of 17th September French shoppers have been able see Orla's specially designed products in Monoprix stores. One of the highlights has to be a new baby clothing line which is something I don't believe we have ever seen from Orla before.
