3. FABRICS - new releases

I wanted to highlight a few fabric designs today that have caught my eye recently from different companies. 4. FABRICS - fabrica uka

Today we are looking at Japanese fabrics. Most of you will be familiar with Kokka who have become very well known over the years for their cute zakka style fabrics. 5. FABRICS - eri shimatsuka

Staying with Kokka we have these fun Scandinavian style fabrics created by Eri Shimatsuka a designer who was born in Japan but is now based in Finland. Eri's studio brand label is called Pikuu Saari, which means 'small island' in Finnish, and the collection named Saaristo is Eri's first range for Kokka. 7. FABRICS - rifle at cotton + steel

9. KIDS DESIGN - debenhams

Today I am back on the subject of Children's Design with a selection of store snaps from UK department store Debenhams. I scoured the kids dept for summer prints and found lots of tropical birds, fruit and ice cream, and fashionable swans. 12. FABRICS - cloud9

Whilst selecting my Etsy Faves for the sidebar this week I really loved what was I was seeing from Cloud9 Fabrics latest collections. 13. CARDS - new from paper salad

Our Friday eye candy today comes from UK card publisher Paper Salad. They have added some new occasion cards to their 'Pretty Things' range which were launched at "Progressive Greetings Live" in London last month. They feature cheerful hand painted stars, clouds, flowers etc and the typography is simple and hand written. You can see all these designs and more online at Paper Salad.

14. PAPERCHASE - father's day

June 19th is of course Father's Day and I spotted a few designs in Paperchase this week. There is something for all ages to send to their dad's from cute bears to trendy turntables. Some designs are available online with more choices in stores.

16. CARDS - susan driscoll for black olive

Susan Driscoll of The Print Tree has  just designed a new range of blank art cards for Black Olive Studio. This lovely greetings collection is called MIMIE and features 11 different designs that use Susan's typical vivid colour schemes which mix acid brights with black and white or pastels.

18. DESIGNER - rebecca prinn

Last year designer Rebecca Prinn was working at Riverside Plus Ltd creating fab card designs. She is now working freelance for greetings cards and gift wrap, and is represented by Advocate Art. Rebecca loves surface pattern and would really like to get into designing for fabrics. Her big love is florals, and playing with different techniques and mark making to create unpredictable results.

20. PAPERCHASE - new arrivals

A new week on P&P begins with a look at some of the new arrivals at Paperchase. I really loved this innovative rabbit design (above) which is available on a notebook. 21. ETSY - maggiemagoo designs

This bright, colourful range of products are the work of MaggieMagoo Designs, founded in 2015 by designer Carole Fenwick. Their tea towels, notebooks, tote bags and art prints are available here on Etsy. They have recently added purses, pencil cases & embroidery hoop art to the collection which will be available at various craft fairs including Crafted by Hand at Masham in Yorkshire on July 3rd

Andrew Holder is an illustrator and designer based Los Angeles. Andrew has created a wonderful series of super stylised geometric animals such as the two striking horses above. 25. PAPERCHASE - new collections

Following on from Monday's Paperchase post I just wanted to mention two of their new collections. One is a graphic range called 'Love from London', which features colourful hand drawn London buildings and union jack flags on a variety of stationery and products. The second is a tropical collection called 'Lets Squawk' featuring jungle leaves, parrots, toucans, and other exotic birds.
