with almost triple digits temps going on here the last few days (ugh!) well, i thought we could all use a friendly reminder of a much colder time....you're welcome. :)

another bang up job from the folks over at
S6. these mugs are my mother's day gifts this year...filled with gourmet teas, i thought they made an excellent choice...and S6 did not let me down (once again). love that the mugs are available in
11 oz size (pictured here) and a
bigger size (15 oz) for the coffee addicts like myself who need just a little *extra*. of course these mugs would be great for soup too (another favorite thing of mine...even in 90 degree temps, i'm eating soup and covered in blankets. the girl who loves winter...conundrum, that's my middle name. ;))
wishing all the moms and grandmoms and mommies to be a very happy mom's day! now, go have some coffee..or tea. :)

you know, it's always such a rush to see my finished paintings on products such as tote bags, wall clocks, tech cases, etc. really. it never gets old. to say it's rewarding is well, an understatement. NOTHING makes me happier than painting/drawing. COUNTLESS hours go into building up a painting....from the initial sketching process to the layers of prep work for the canvas and then the of course adding the COLOR with layers of acrylic. every single brush stroke is a joy to make. then, to see it all done is overwhelming. (i must confess, i cry sometimes when i finish a painting...there's just SO much emotion and passion that i put into each and every single one. finishing one is definitely bittersweet...whether it's a commission or just one that i've painted that will sit in my studio until it sells one day). so back to Society6 and the A-MAZ-ING printing job they do....
the above pic shows the
tote bag (sized at 16x16) and the really awesome
"carry all pouch" (as they call it-available in THREE sizes-this is the medium). love love love how these turned out. so true to the original painting (which is FOR SALE-contact me if interested)...just lovely.
also ordered a few mugs for Mother's Days gifts that impressed me as well (pic coming soon). they have everything from wall clocks to throw pillows to duvet covers to stationary cards. click on over

the name of this little beauty.
inspired by
pantone's "GORGOIS" (as my FAVORITE make up artist,
Mally Roncal would say-please, that's a whole different blog post....LOVE that woman...i digress!) palette of 2016, featuring the colors, rose quartz and serenity (hence her name)...and my favorite, lilac grey (ironic, considering i am not a big lover of anything purple).
i'm kind of loving little miss serenity right now and i will be featuring her on some great products in my
Society 6 shop a little later in the week. until then....

Society 6 shop over the weekend in an effort to consolidate my POD (print on demand) options.

another peek into my step by step creative process....this one for the painting entitled, "the lucky one". done to commentate 2016's year of the monkey, this little cutie was lots of fun to paint.

speaking of PRINTS, i'm in the middle of opening up a
S6 (Society 6) shop which will feature my paintings on cool products from tote bags to tapestries, clocks to (duvet) covers. i'll post the link as soon as i get around to finishing setting up shop. meanwhile, click on over to the
S6 homepage and check out some other really wonderful artists. always awesome to see hard working, talented people have their masterpieces transformed onto products we can buy for ourselves to give away as gifts.
Some new goodies in my Society 6 shop - these patterns will be in a new upcoming fabric collection being released fall '14.
I just uploaded two more designs onto Society 6 - a graphic deer image and coordinating stripe. This is what they look like on some products. I am going to be printing fabrics with these on Spoonflower as well.
I've set up a shop at Society 6 where you can buy my art as various size prints.
I'm also thinking of making some Laptop and iPad skins and iPhone cover designs.
