un dimanche a paris (a sunday in paris) is the new collection from stylish accessories and decoration label famillie summerbelle. the print features the eiffel tower, buildings, and parisians in the park and is available on trays, mugs, tea towels, and wallpaper. famille summerbelle was created by anglo/french duo simon summerscales and julie marabelle.

as part of heals' woodland theme for AW 2012 they are stocking the entire line of magpie's birdy range. this includes mugs, plates, espresso sets, and tea towels featuring cute illustrations from the magpie design studio. birds and animals are the central theme for the heals woodland story which also featured wolves and foxes.

last month for one night only, cargo london held an illustration exhibition comprising of an eclectic mix of work from 60 top illustrators and designers raising over £2000 for the national autistic society. curated by illustrators lucy joy and rosie shorter the exhibition began as a portrait-swap. each illustrator's name was picked from a hat and paired with another at random. marcus oakley's

finnish label polkka jam have a brand new collection called "kissanpäivät". as far as i know kissanpäivät translates as 'cat days' so i think this refers to lazy happy days where the time is your own. the collection features notepads and art prints depicting pastimes such sewing, knitting, and reading. see more collections and products from the excellent polkka jam online here.

sian elin thomas recently launched a new collection of textiles, at tent london including cushions, tea-towels and wallpaper. with her company sian elin now based in her native wales she has created a new range of patterns to mirror her fascination for the built environment. time spent in israel, recent travels to india and throughout the mediterranean are all reflected in her new collection.

'alva' is the new tea towel design from lotta kulhorn at koloni. named after a village in sweden where lotta spends her summer holidays it comes in two colourways; yellow or warm red.

the cath kidston spring summer 2013 press show took place last week in london. their new season prints were displayed in a gallery style space and featured everything from camping accessories to kitchenware. i was lucky enough to attend their show for the first time and managed to get some snapshots to share with you. we begin with kitchen and laundry where two of the key prints were this

there are some new items in for summer at hus & hem's online shop. first up are colourful bird trays featuring an original 1950's fabric design by marianne westman, hand pressed on birch ply. and also new is a pretty teatowel called kvitter which means chirping in Swedish.
