1276. Illustration Friday: Resolve

Piggy resolved to the cake after tossing and turning
without getting any sleep.

He thought if maybe he just had one tiny piece
he'd be able to dream wonderful sweet dreams... :o)

1277. IF: Resolve

She was resolved to accept the past and move on with her life.

She knew this was going to be her year. She was feeling lucky for some reason.

Well this went in a completely different direction than I had planned!

Sometimes my bag ladies have a mind of their own ;)

For Illustration Friday's prompt: resolve

graphite and colored pencil on paper bag

I believe that any resolution worth beginning on January 1st is worth beginning anytime. We should all resolve for better health, more peace, and a sunny outlook ahead.

1281. Illustration Friday: clandestine

Sweet little Miss HollyBerry has a clandestine meeting with Mr. Mistletoe. Where is he? It"s so cold, Brrrrrr!!! My submission for Illustration Friday's "clandestine" is an illustration I did for a Holiday card this year and a submission for a Holiday contest on Youtube. It didn't make it to the contest but they loved my work so much they requested a bunch of my older images :)

1282. Illustration Friday -- Voices

Ok, so this is a bit of a stretch. She thinks the trees have voices. I love trees just about as much as she does. I have this fantasy that if I were uber rich, I would plant acres of them around here. The eastern mountains need some greening up. They only look pretty for about 3 months a year when the grass is green. Trees would would be a lovely addition.

Merry Christmas to all and thanks for visiting. Wishing you a wonderful New Year!

1283. Illustration Friday: voices

The voices inside "The Light Stays On" found their way into my heart and I loved painting this image of the "magic cottage" for Karen Jasper. I hope you can treat yourself or someone you know with a copy available through the author, Amazon.com or BarnesandNoble.com. Karen has a paypal link at the top of her blog and you can buy the book right from her page and she would be happy to sign it for you as well. I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays and having winter fun!

1284. Illustration Friday: “Rambunctious”

Santa’s reindeer can be a rambunctious bunch.  But no need to worry.   Just cuts, scrapes and bruises.  Nothing too violent.

1286. IF - Rambunctious

Her teachers thought her rambunctious, her parents decided she was just spirited, but Witchetty just wanted to dance in the moonlight.

It was a rambunctious magic carpet that took the horse for a ride. My submission for Illustration Friday's "rambunctious" theme.

1288. SIMILAR

I think Socmo has some friends who are kiddos. So for all the kids out there, here is a puzzle for you. All of the SocMos here are identical to each other except for one. One SocMo is only SIMILAR to all the rest. Can you find it?

As you are looking you might sing to yourself... "One of these things is not like the others"... I watched way TOO much Sesame Street years ago...

*Remember... You can click on the image to see it in JUMBO size*

Harry and Thelma were so similar.
Both loved dancing barefoot in the moonlight, for instance.

1294. I.F: "Baloon".

Once when my sis n I were kids, my mother tied two baloons on my sisters pony-tails so that she could be easily spotted incase she wandered off in a crowded place. So when I saw the topic for I.F this time I was reminded of that.

I am busy working on the illustrations for a children's book this weekend, but I had this idea in my head and I wanted to see what it might look like on paper...

And the last of my black friday images--

I always think that milkweed seeds look like tiny balloons, floating in late autumn winds.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

1299. Illustration Friday-- Wise

Here's an owl composed of the things that owls like to eat. If you click in for a closer view, you'll see a lot of birds, and mice, and bats, and the occasional weasel...
Wise old owl? Or just a hungry one...
