1. ‘Regression’ Set For Blu-ray Release in May

Regression, starring Emma Watson and David Thewlis, is set to be released on Blu-Ray on May 10th.

High Def Digest reports:

“Minnesota, 1990. Detective Bruce Kenner (Ethan Hawke) investigates the case of young Angela (Emma Watson), who accuses her father, John Gray (David Dencik), of an unspeakable crime. When John unexpectedly and without recollection admits guilt, renowned psychologist Dr. Raines (David Thewlis) is brought in to help him relive his memories and what they discover unmasks a horrifying nationwide mystery.

The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video and lossless 5.1 audio, and the suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $26.99.”

2. David Thewlis in "Red 2"

David Thewlis (Remus Lupin) has joined the cast of Red 2. The cast includes Bruce Willis, Helen Mirrin, and John Malkovich. Thewlis (whose character is called The Frog) joins the others who star as special agents who have been forced out of retirement. The Hollywood Reporter states:

Thewlis is playing a character called The Frog, an information dealer who got his name by poisoning the water supply at the Kremlin using a poisonous Amazonian frog.

Thewlis’ recent credits include Steven Spielberg’s War Horse and Luc Besson’s The Lady. He is repped by CAA and Ken McReddie Associates.

The British Independent Film Awards will recognize actor David Thewlis with a special honor next month.
