3. Bluewater Productions Creates a Comic on Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton Comic Cover (GalleyCat)Bluewater Productions has created a biographical comic book focused on the political career of the 2016 presidential race candidate, Hillary Rodham Clinton. In the past, the publisher had released two other projects on the former Secretary of State.

This book, entitled Female Force: Hillary Clinton: The Road to the White House, was created in honor of Clinton’s second attempt at running for the highest office in the United States government. Michael Frizell wrote the story and Joe Paradise created the artwork for this 24-page book.

Frizell gave this statement in the press release: “She’s a fascinating person. As a writer, I am drawn to powerful personalities. At times, she can be divisive, which makes her fun to write.”

4. Hillary Clinton and voter disgust

Hillary Clinton declared that she is running for the Democratic Party nomination in a Tweet that was sent out Sunday, April 12. This ended pundit conjecture that she might not run, either because of poor health, lack of energy at her age, or maybe she was too tarnished with scandal. Yet, such speculation was just idle chatter used to fill media space. Now that Clinton has declared her candidacy, the media and political pundits have something real to discuss.

8. Hillary Clinton Book Tour Kicks Off in NYC Next Week

Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will begin her national book tour for her new memoir Hard Choices at New York's Union Square Barnes & Noble next week. On Tuesday, June 10th, the former first lady will be signing copies of her new book at 11am. The bookseller will be distributing a limited number of wristbands beginning at 8am that morning. These will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors will be limited to a one book per customer signing. Other books or memorabilia are not allowed. 9. Hillary Rodham Clinton Lands Book Deal for Memoir

Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will write a new memoir for Simon & Schuster, a book focused on “key decisions and experiences as Secretary of State.”  Publication is set for 2014.

Williams & Connolly attorney Robert B. Barnett negotiated the deal with publisher Carolyn ReidyJonathan Karp will edit the book for Simon & Schuster’s trade imprint. Here’s more about the book:

The yet-to-be titled book will use a number of dramatic moments during Secretary Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State to frame her thoughts about the recent history of U.S. foreign policy and the urgent, ongoing need for American leadership in a changing world.  She will write about her role in, and reflections on, such recent events as the killing of Osama Bin Laden; the overthrow of the Qaddafi regime in Libya; the transitions in Iraq and Afghanistan; the Arab Spring; the pivot to the Asia-Pacific; the rise of new powers like China, Brazil, Turkey, and India; building diplomatic coalitions to deal with Iran and North Korea; and our relations with important allies around the world.
