As usual, let me offer my non-formulaic, sincere thanks for the comments, additions, questions, and corrections. I have a theory that misspellings are the product of sorcery, as happened in my post on the idiom catch a crab (in rowing). According to the routine of many years, I proofread my texts with utmost care.

One of the quirky, fun things about Hawai‘i is its abundance of roadside fruit stands. These stands offer a variety of fruits in season, like mango, liliko‘i (passion fruit), papaya, avocado, and more. Just about all of the island roadside stands have one thing in common: the honor system. Customers are invited to take the fruit they like, so long as they deposit the correct amount of cash in the box or can left explicitly for that purpose. Here’s a recently discovered roadside stand. They only have avocado, but it is tasty avocado!
If a plant grows from seed (tomato, watermelon, etc.) how do they grow seedless ones? I was just looking at
Burpee Seeds online and noticed they have a new seedless tomato. How can they sell me seed for a seedless plant? I know it is done but it seems like you would get one crop of "seedless" and be out of business. Where is the next crop going to come from?? What next, seedless avocado?
Roadside stands are so cute. My MIL loved stopping at them. We grow pretty much all of our veggies (and some fruits), and most people don’t grow anything we don’t already grow, so we don’t stop at them. I would LOVE to come upon an avocado stand but it’ll never happen in IN. LOL!

Teresa, the funny thing is, we have TWO trees dripping with avos and we still stop to buy because ours aren’t ripe yet. When mine are ripe, though, I’m going to buried with them – and avos are not exactly something one can preserve! So far, I have plans for: avocado ice cream, chocolate avocado pudding, avocados in my smoothies, and of course, guacamole. Other suggestions welcome!
