The site has many fans and readers all over the globe, and the books by the authors are flying of the shelves and over the counter in bookstores.
And then..someday..the site had their third anniversary..wich makes the authors and readers very happy!
And they all lived happily ever after..

Probably the most romantic thing that ever happened to me was the way my husband proposed. We were on our way back to our apartment after seeing a Broadway show with his parents, and it was pouring rain. We decided to run for it, and we were holding hands, and I started laughing and said it was kind of romantic. He stopped and looked at me and said, "Is it the most romantic thing we've ever done?" I was like, "Um, sure." And then he got down on one knee on the wet city sidewalk, and ruined his suit.

My birthday is a week after V-day so nothing romantic ever really happens. It is really just like any other day.

Okay, I'm a firm believer that love should be shown everyday, and now that I'm married, I think I have that...BUT...
Before my husband and I started dating, I was trying to find a date to my senior prom and was totally freaking out. I finally asked this ex-boyfriend of mine, because I was too chicken to ask the guy I had a crush on. THEN, when my husband (now) found out, he flipped and actually yelled at me for not asking him...He was like, "I would be totally honored to take you. You should know that. Why are you going with some guy you're not even friends with?" Then he grabbed me and kissed me and I had my first inkling that, Duh!, maybe Marc likes me?! Needless to say, we started to see each other shortly after that and now years later we're married. I'll never forget that he yelled at me for being stupid, and somehow it was wildly romantic!! :P

This happened to a friend of mine. A guy that liked her sent her a different bouquet of flowers for a week with the romantic meanings of the flowers written on the card.

When my husband and I got engaged, we exchanged apartment keys. One night I came home from work to find on my table something I'd recently admired in a store. ;) From then on, we left each other little gifts, and the detective work of making sure we got away undetected was half the fun...

Stanley's a cutie!

My husband proposed to me mid-air. We were on a flight back from New Orleans. He disappeared for a bit, then the next thing I know we're being moved to first class. A few minutes after that, he got down on one knee in the aisle and with the whole plane watching, asked me to marry him. The flight attendant used the PA system to tell everyone, "She said yes!" and then they gave us a bottle of champagne. There was much cheering.

My romantic story goes like this: I was a library clerk at a small library and I had a superhuge crush on the Bookmobile Supervisor. He had once been the courier between the libraries and I had met him then. I nursed this crush for years until finally, one day, I asked my boss to find out if he was single. She took my email address when she went over to pick up books one day and told him that someone in Edgefield liked him. It's goofy and soooooo Kindergarten. She gave him my email address but didn't tell him it was me. That night he sent me an email and when I responded back, he was overjoyed. He had been nursing a crush on me as well. I was overjoyed. We were both ecstatic. We went on our first date November 11th, 2005 and we haven't been apart since.

I'm probably the luckiest woman in the world because he is a magnificent man. He is sweet, kind, and caring and I love him so much. I'm SO glad I asked my boss to talk to him. It might be Kindergarten, but I don't care! We're getting married on October 31st. :)

The most romantic thing to happen to me was last year on my birthday my best friend and boyfriend knew I had to work a huge, very important tournament on my birthday and I was kind of bummed I wouldn't get to celebrate so they through a surprise dinner for me two weeks before my birthday. Then on the day of my birthday the prettiest flowers ever showed up for me at work from my boyfriend. It was the best birthday ever and so romantic because my guy knew that it was those two things that would mean the most.

There was a guy who adored my friend. Like, completely obsessed with her so when she finally agreed to go out with him, he was ecstatic. Okay... I'm going to have to say that when my husband proposed to me in a field of wild flowers the most romantic thing - but ya know - I think it is darn romantic when I can come home from work and he has completely taken care of dinner.

the most romantic thing was when my best friend and my best (boy)friend arranged a very special gift for my birthday. They gave me a signed canvas board with little pics all the things in life that are special to me. After that we had a lovely dinner.

I work with the athletic trainer at school, so I'm always around the athletes.
Last night after a game one of the basketball players came up to me and handed me a couple of flowers.
One of the only cute thing's that have happened to me.

My husband does a lot of little romantic things. Fill the bath for me, rubb my feet when I'm cold and he always remember our anniversary.

I have to say my Christmas present this year! My husband got me a mommy necklace and for my birthday in January, he added the birthstones of both of my kids! It was completely thought of by him and very wonderful!

I'm drawing a blank on the most romantic thing to ever happen to me, but my husband does little things often like surprising me with detailing my car or arranging flowers in the house as a surprise.

In college after getting out of a really serious relationship I met a guy through a friend. We did the whole look from afar and ask the mutual friend about the other person. Then one day he pulled me aside to tell me that he thought I was beautiful and special and that he wanted to be more than friends. It is nice to be called beautiful.

Oh, these stories are so great, you guys! I'm not going to post a super-romantic story or anything, but Harper Cat wants Stanley to be her valentine! xoxo

I don't have much of a love life, so I live vicariously through others.

I gotta say that my older brother is a really romantic guy. For his first Valentine's Day with his wife (at the time, girlfriend) he went all out. Which really set the bar high for their relationship.

He had a friend, who that year was cooking romantic meals for a good price. So he ordered it, had the family evacuate the premises and had a nice candlelit dinner at home. I let him use my CD player so they could have some nice romantic music in the background.

Earlier that day, I cleaned the house really well before going to the Renaissance Festival with my friends. Once there, I bought 3 metal roses- 1 for me, 1 for my mom, and 1 for my brother to give to his wife. Also, my mom and I went to Costco and bought some of their 2 dozen roses for $14--my sil still has them, dried, along with all of the other flowers he has ever given her.

I love all the stories of them, because they are so great and romantic.

So most likely, I will share a lot of them!

When they were first dating, my brother and his wife went to an accessory store at the mall and bought a cheap $5 ring that looks like an engagement ring.

She put it on her ring finger and went to school, telling her friends that she was engaged. And they all believed her for the longest time!

(Did I mention that she had barely turned 18 when they met in January, got engaged in March, and married in November a year later?)

My brother proposed to his wife at Disneyland while on spring break.

He knew that he would be going with her family on vacation to Disneyland during her spring break senior year, so he asked my parents for advice. My mom said that there was a great restaurant called the Blue Bayou. He made reservations there a week or two in advance to make sure they got in.

Now, his wife is a foodie. She loves food a LOT. And the food at the Blue Bayou is GOOD! So she was enjoying dinner and not expecting a thing, when my brother got down on one knee and proposed.

She said yes. And they have been very happy.

For their second anniversary, my brother made surprise plans. He wouldn't tell his wife a thing about it. He would tell everyone around her what they were, they would gasp and say that it was a great surprise, and she would get frustrated.

A month before their anniversary, they got a dog from the pound. He even told the dog the plans!

Well, his plans were to go to Sedona for a nice weekend retreat in a nice hotel. But, because they got the dog, they had to do something with him. So they took the dog up to Prescott to stay with her mom. Luckily, Prescott is on the way to Sedona.

One of the things with this surprise weekend is that he kept her in the dark the entire way up. After dropping the dog off, she had no clue where they were going, and didn't until they pulled up to the hotel!

They had some of the best food they have ever eaten and had a very relaxing weekend. In the end, she was very happy with this surprise.

I think this will be the last story I will tell about my brother and his wife. Mostly because it is getting late!

For their 4th Valentine's Day together, he didn't have a clue what to do.

My friend and I had just gone up to South Mountain to a lookout and enjoyed looking over the Valley at night and seeing all the lights.

So, I took my brother up there about a week before to see if that was a good idea for him. He decided that he liked it.

He packed a picnic basket with Martenelli's Sparkling Cider, sandwiches, and other other treats.

To create an illusion of mystery about what was going on, he had her blindfolded during the entire drive! And on the way up to the lookout points, the drive is curvy and has hairpin turns. Personally, I think he should have taken the blindfold off at the base of the mountain, but whatever.

She loved it. Until a thunderstorm broke out and lightning strikes were coming really close to them!

I routinely chided my boyfriend of three years for having a Peter Pan complex and resisting all aspects of growing up, marriage included. What did he do to prove me wrong? Took me to Melting Pot, then disappeared into his bedroom when we returned, emerging moments later fully decked out in feathered cap, green tunic, and brown leggings. Dropping to one knee, he presented me with my dream ring, intent on proving that even Peter Pans CAN and will grow up...sooner or later :)

The most romantic thing that's happened to me was when my boyfriend was in Iraq the summer of my b'day. He had used his computer time to send me flowers, had a necklace made for me and sent, but the best was getting the phone call for him. The 1st time he called, my cell phone dropped the call. it was not easy for him to call period since he had to walk across base to get to the phones & they either get a 20 minute moral call or have to pay long distance. So he went back later to call to wish me a happy birthday. He said there was gun fire going around the base as he made his way to the phone center. After learning someone walked so far and thru such dangerous circumstances to wish me happy birthday I cried. I mean how many times do you get belated cards or calls & to know someone went thru that much meant a lot.

nothing romantic has happened to me :[ but I do have some stories about people I know!

Last year, this girl in my leadership class got asked to prom by her boyfriend. She lives in a beach front house and so her backyard is pretty much the beach. Her boyfriend spent the entire night digging "Prom?" into the sand. He called her at like one in the morning telling her to come outside. When she did, she saw it and a whole bunch of candles outlining the Prom?.

And then, last year, for Sadies, this other girl I know asked the guy she liked by scattering Hershey's kisses all over his bedroom floor and then making a poster that said "Now that I've kissed the ground you walk on, will you go with me to Sadies?" I thought that was really cute.

And then his girl in my ap world class last year got asked to Homecoming. He woke her up late into the night and she had to follow this path he made with fishing wire and also clues to where she had to go. kinda like a Scavenger hunt. the clues led her back to her house where the guy she went to HC with was waiting. There he asked her to HC.

Early in our relationship, my then boyfriend would always say "when we get married, we'll do...." Finally one day I said "I don't want you to say 'when we get married' anymore until I have a ring on my finger." So he said "let's go buy you one now then." And we went that night and bought my engagement ring.

We'll be married 13 yrs in May.

Okay. Here's the thing. Nothing romantic has ever happend to me. :(

The only thing I can think of involving a boy is back in kindergarten... A boy in my class left me a note and a pearlnecklace he had done by himself in his backpack. That's it. I don't even remember talking to him afterwards...

I really don't have a romantic moment so I will tell one about my friend. She and this guy were the lead roles in a musical and they had to kiss. That would be her first kiss so she was really worried. The guy was so sweet about it and made her feel so comfortable.

For me the most romantice things are the small little things that make my day. Last week I came home from work and I was really not feeling too great, but I thought that I would still need to make dinner and do a few loads of laundry...the normal nightly stuff. My husband realized how I was feeling and he made dinner and did the laundry without my having to ask. These are the little things that make me happy!

I have a lot of romantic things. Haha but hm, I think the number one thing is this guy who had a crush on me wrote me a song and sang it to me :) And we were only in 5th grade!

Something that has been recent (well, not really) is that the guy I liked would give me his jacket whenever I was cold :)

For my birthday this year, my husband found a sitter for the kids and took me into the mountains. We wanted to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, soft music, and each other.
As we lay in the back of his pickup, enjoying the sunset, it started to rain.
The rest isn't PG-13, so I won't share. Let's just say, I had a happy birthday. :)

I had never received flowers from a guy before I met my now husband. I was 24. So I decided that I wanted a sign from God to let me know that I was supposed to marry be that he was the first to ever give me flowers.

The morning after our second date, I received a single red rose with a card that read, "How do you tell a flower she's pretty and sweet?"

I still have that card in my wallet twelve years later. :)

I've never really had anything romantic happen to me... But once when I was younger there was this one boy who kept on leaving "presents" for me in my locker, but that was more creepy than romantic. I still don't know how he got my combination.

Some years back, when I was trying to break into romantic suspense, I wrote to an author whose books I was very impressed with, Joanna Wayne. She wrote back. In fact, we corresponded through e-mail a few times. After I sold PROM DRESS, I saw her at the RWA Conference, went up and introduced myself and told her my news. She hugged me and it was a very nice moment indeed. :)

I love the letter, Marley! So cute! I was a big fan of Shaun Cassidy in the day, and I wrote him and was in his fan club. Do they have official fan clubs anymore?

I wrote fan mail to a boy band in the late '80's called "The Boys". They were 10-15yr old rappers & brothers, and I wrote them telling them how cute they were, and that I would gladly marry any of them.
...If you can believe it, they did not accept my marriage proposal.

I'm going to have to stop reading your blog. Between your fanmail and Simone's post about her Father, you're stirring emotions that I've spent a lifetime trying to suppress. Guys aren't supposed to feel all those "girly" emotions! :)

LOL on Shaun Cassidy! I loved him, too. My first fan letter was to Rick Springfield, though. I still have my membership card somewhere for his fan club.

Oh...and I forgot the time when I met Don Henley at a booksigning for his Save Walden Pond tour and I was a nervous wreck...I said, "We really like your music, Mr. Henley." My husband actually stood behind me and SNORTED!!!!

OMGS...that's the sweetest thing!

When I was a kid I wrote to Zilpha Keatley Snyder, one of my favorite authors, and told her that my best friend and I were *just* like the two girls in her novel The Changeling... and she wrote me back.

I think my friend once miraculously had Eminem's address, so I wrote him a letter telling him how insanely hot and awesome he was... =P Ah, good times. Lol. But other than that, I've never really written fan mail... mostly cuz I don't have the time or energy to put a stamp on it and mail it.

Ow this is nice! i started writing fanmail in my teens, going to a different time with my parents divorced and bullied at school.
I started to write to a musical theatre actor. And he wrote back! and not only one time..!

Shaun Cassidy is the son of Shirley Jones (Patridge Family) and Jack Cassidy. He's David Cassidy's half brother. He starred in The Hardy Boys in the 70s and also had a brief career as a rock 'n roll singer. I believe he's a big producer now a days.

A couple of years ago, my best friend's daughter wrote a letter to the tooth fairy which was way adorable.

I'm an only child, and I always wanted a sister. Lucky for me that I met my BFF. She went to study in France for a year, during which my boyfriend dumped me after we dated for three years. Only a true sister would stay up until the middle of the night just so she can call me overseas to make me laugh. She even made a little ex-boyfriend cookie and mailed it to me. (I smashed it with a hammer. Can I tell you how much better I felt after that?) She makes me feel invincible, and I'd love to share these books with her.

I am the only girl in my family. Three brothers is hard to have, but it made me tough. Now I have a sister in law, so that is fun. But until 3 years ago, my only "sister" was either my cute little dog, Suzy, or my best friend, Melissa. Melissa and I still act like sisters and we get along sooo great. We are great friends and we have so much fun together and have for years. And we will until we are little old ladies!

i am six years older than my sister chelcea and seven years older than my sister laci. when they were younger we weren't really that close, but now that we are older they are my best friends. they were my bridesmaids and they are my weekend movie dates for girly movies. i never knew how fotunate i was to have sisters until now.

Your day sounds a bit hectic. Granted so is mine what with going to college and raising young twin daughters, lol.

I'm the youngest in my family, I have two older sisters that are 28 and 27. So I was about 8 years younger than my sisters. Of course they hated me when I was little, I was always the reason one of them had to stay home. Someone needed to baby sit me. But over the years I developed such a strong bond with them. Its sad that I rarely see one of them anymore, she lives an hour or so away and has such a different life now. My other sister lives a few blocks away from my parents' house so I see her a whole lot. I just love my sisters, I don't know where I'd be without them today.

Its so strange to realize that all three of us are in our 20's now. It just doesn't seem like we should be.

my sister and i are not particularly close. but we are there for each other when it matters most (you know, ranting and anger and all that)

This post sums it up for me. It's a long post and it took me a couple of days to write it because I was so emotional. But it really sums up how I feel about my older sister.

My sister is a 6 year old, most of the time she thinks she is older than me. As far as my sister goes, I always try and help her whenever I can, I want her to be able to look up to me because everyone needs someone they can look up to.

I have two older sisters and am in a sorority. Let me tell you it can get crazy sometimes....(I wonder sometimes who thought of putting a bunch of girls together and not expect any trouble or hair pulling) but at the end of the day when one sister is in need we are always there for each other.

i have an older sister of 33. She went trough a lot difficult problems the past years,the only thing to do..just support her! We are not always the best of friends. Sometimes we just irritate each other...i try to stop it!

I have two very very close friends, but no one who I can call a best friend. My sister though, is another story. She's everything that I'm not, and we are opposites but alike in some ways. There are many things I keep in secret, all to myself and share with no one else. But one of the biggest is that my sister's my rock. She has me anchored to this world so just in case my life goes out of perspective, I ALWAYS know she'll be there with me. I think she keeps me sane in some ways.

I have a group of girl friends. We all have been friends since the seventh grade. I'm now a sophomore in high school and our group is still more or less intact. I love them and I know they will always be there for me.

I'm an only child, but my best friend is like a sister to me. My mother and her mother were best friends, so we grew up around each other. We really became close though, somewhere around middle school. I know she's always got my back and I've got hers. No matter if we disagree, we have each other's best interests at heart first and foremost. :)

I've had many experience with sisterhood, between different groups of friends and my real sister. The bad thing about sisterhood is you get close to people, and it hurts more than anything else when a sister betrays you.

I have to sisters umm we get along pretty well, we dont hang out much mostly because im older than them and live on campus at college. I also have my best friends they are like my sisters away from home. We hang out and do pretty much everything together. =D

I also learn mandarin by a special and innovative service in Beijing Chinese School. I like to learn in live class with teachers from Beijing directly. I also like to practice mandarin with volunteers freely everyday. Watching Chinese mandarin learning TV on CLTV is also interesting and helpful to practice listening and learn more about Mandarin
