Sorry that I missed that Land of the Lost marathon-that show was one of my Saturday morning favorites. Also dug Dr. Shrinker(great theme song-”he’s an evil man with an evil mind!”),Shazam,Isis(yes,the Egyptian goddess had her own superheroine show)and of course,Electro Woman and Dyna Girl!

They really don’t make good cheesy shows for kids like they use to*sigh*!

I am *so* psyched for this. I absolutely loved David Yates’s directorial touch on the last film — for the first time it felt like this was real, like it was in our world, and I’m excited that he’s going to be finishing the series out.

Yes! I agree! I never could have put it as eloquently as you, Bill, but I agree with what you said. Yates has really done a fantastic job.

I love this trailer! It looks really close to the book, except for the added burrow scene, and I simply cannot wait.

Carli: I’m not sure either honestly… XD It’s hard to explain exacally what it is about it, and I know lots of people either love it, hate it, or just don’t get it, but for me there’s just something about it that draws me in…. XP

Very exciting! I’ve been in catchup mode for so long that it’s nice to be up with everyone else. Though it’ll take some adjustment to the fact that I actually have to wait a week for each new episode…

On top of that, now that I’m (finally) all caught up, I’ve gotten the whole family addicted. So now they’re the ones who are behind (partway through season two now). So I can’t talk about the new stuff at home. We’ll be keeping season 5 on the DVR for a little while, and I’ll just have to keep my mouth shut.

We’ve been watching via the ABC website (I can hook the laptop up to the TV at close to HD resolution) — there are commercials, but they’re not too obtrusive. That is, except for the “Lost Starter Kit” commercial I had to jump up and pause before they gave away too much. I mean come on — I’m watching old episodes on the site! Don’t you think there just might be *some* possibility that I don’t want upcoming episodes spoiled?

Bill, good job on getting the family hooked! They won’t regret it! And I’m glad you’re finally caught up. It’s so much fun to be part of the week-long anticipation.

Premier Wednesday, January 21! Three hours! One-hour recap, followed by two back-to-back episodes. It’s like eating a whole cake.

Still only up to the season 2 finale on Sci Fi, hoping to at least get through season 3 and maybe pick up season 4 for Christmas… and keep season 5 episodes on my DVR until I’m caught up. Trying to stay as spoiler-free as possible — not easy at this point, especially since a “spoiler” for me is common knowledge for all you long-time fans.

But the suspense is killing me. In true obsessive fashion, I’ve gone back and started listening to the “classic” Lost podcasts.

Oooh!!!! *chills* I hope they do this right! I am nearly finished with the third book and hope to start the fourth immediately. Such addictive reading, and I can honestly say I have no idea where the story is headed.

Twilight is driving me crazy, and its terrible, i was so set against going to see it but now im planning on going to see it with friends, but i will probably be critisizing it the entire time. It looks completely messed up. I mean laurent is black, he’s supposed to be like olive or something.

Carli, Carli, give it a chance! Don’t go in there prepared to be mad! Let the movie be the movie, and the books be the books. As as far as Laurent goes, as long as he’s scary he’s fine with me.

Kelley, they are addictive, aren’t they! As long as the books are, I could still read more. I feel that way about the Harry Potter books, too–give me more words.

Have you read Edward’s perspective on Stephenie’s website? You know she was going to publish it, but it got leaked, which I thought was horrible. Anyway, I figure I’ll read it after I finish Breaking Dawn.

It’s funny. I remember reading somewhere that Stephanie Meyer said an early draft of Twilight began in Edward’s perspective and she got advice to rewrite or decided to rewrite it, but I can’t find that anymore. I swear it was somewhere when she was giving writing advice.

And I can’t shake the feeling that whatever she was planning on selling was that. I’m not saying it is a bad thing, but just that’s what it was. An early draft.

Patrick, you’re correct–and Kelley is correct. It was the draft of this story from Edward’s perspective that got leaked earlier this year, resulting in Stephenie deciding not to publish it.

Actually i think she might still publish it, but not for a while. I haven’t read it yet because i want to wait for it to be published.

I am SO seeing this! There’s a great cover story on the movie in EW this week;it sounds like the actors who play Edward and Bella have some amazing onscreen chemistry,a vital ingredient to making this story work.
