At the end of each year, I like to reflect on what I've accomplished. I do set goals at the start of each year, but unexpected things happen. So here's my year in review:
The really funny part is that I didn't think I did a lot this year, but when I write it all out I feel a little exhausted. ;) Seven books published? Really? I guess the year was better than I thought.

Here's what's on my mind today:
- My Bio Couldn't Be More True The first line of my bio reads that I fully admit to being the most accident-prone person in the world. I truly am. Let me recap last week for you. Saturday evening (after YA Fest) I cut my hand on the rounded edge of my countertop. Yes, rounded edge. Sunday, I got hit in the head with the mega-sized plug from our giant air conditioning unit as my husband carried it up to the attic. I now have a bump on my forehead. Friday night I fell down the stairs and hurt my arm. The X-rays didn't show a break but because of the amount of swelling, the doctor thinks I may have a hairline fracture that only an MRI would see. Still, no need for a cast. So yeah, my bio is spot-on.
- Good News I Can't Share Yet In the midst of my awful week, I got good news. I can't share yet, but I'm very excited. :)
- Editing I have three books on my plate to edit over the next two weeks. And I'm typing one-handed because of my arm. Eek!
- New Adult Scavenger Hunt I'm (as Ashelyn Drake) on Team Blue for the New Adult Scavenger Hunt. Yay! These are always a lot of fun.
- Alien MG Submissions for Seek I got some great alien MG submissions during my open Twitter pitch last week. It's going to be tough picking just one out of these.

- Looking For Love Releases Tomorrow! Wow! That happened quickly! I can't believe tomorrow is the day. This is a new adult romance written under my pen name, Ashelyn Drake. It is book 4 in a series, but it's a series of companion novellas and each story stands on it's own, so you don't have to read the others or read them in order. You can pre-order it or grab it on release day here for only $.99.
- Embarrassing Video Coming! This week's Writer Wednesday post might be a little embarrassing—for me. I made a video for you guys and you don't want to miss it. My street team, Kelly's Coven, has already seen it since they see everything first, but I'll be unveiling it to everyone else this Wednesday. Be sure to stop back then.
- Writing Tips I'm working on some writing tips for the upcoming Writer Wednesday posts. Hopefully you'll find them helpful.
- Editing I'm editing for clients again this week. My editing streak continues.
- Revisions I'm working on revisions based on my agent's comments, and I forgot how much I absolutely love this book!

- Taxes My taxes are finished! Yay! I hate sitting through having them done, so I'm glad this is over for the year.
- Looking For Love Blog Tour This weekend I finished my posts for the Looking For Love blog tour. I can't believe this book is releasing in 8 days!
- Good New I Can't Share Yet I know that's cruel, but I have good news. No, it's not a book deal. This is different, but I'm equally excited about it. I'll share as soon as I can.

- Migraines Last week I had two awful headaches. One was a migraine that left me unable to do anything and up all night sick from the pain. I'm hoping this week passes without any headaches, because I have work to do.
- Editing More edits on my plate this week. :)
- Taxes My tax forms took a long time getting to me this year. I'm usually finished with this process by now. I need to schedule an appointment soon.

- My daughter's birthday My daughter turns eight on Thursday! I can't believe it. We're having a party on Saturday, and she's really excited. It's Monster High themed, of course. ;)
- Editing I've got a full week with edits again. 2015 has been non-stop editing.
- Drafting I surpassed the 40K mark on my WIP this weekend. I have a feeling I'm going to have to put it aside until I get some of these edits off my plate over the next two weeks.
- Less than a month until the release of Looking For Love I'm getting everything together for the release of Looking For Love. The blog tour is in process, and the teaser quotes are ready to go. :)

- Drafting I didn't get much drafting in last week because I had so many client edits. I think I wrote about 3,500 words and that was all on Friday. This week I'm hoping to write more.
- New Agency Sibling If you didn't hear the good news, DL Hammons announced that he's signed on with my agent, Sarah Negovetich. I'm so happy for DL, who runs the Blog Blitz I'm part of and Write Club. Congrats again, DL!
- Editing I have more edits on my plate this week. 2015 has really been the year of editing for me so far.
- Beware the Little White Rabbit Animated Cover By now, you probably know I'm an editor for Leap Books. Well, I'm editing this amazing anthology that just got an animated cover. Check it out. (If you don't see the animation, click on the image.)

- Editing I'm booked with edits again this month. The end of 2014 must have been very busy for a lot of writers because I'm editing book after book. :)
- Scholastic Book Fair It's still going on thanks to all the snow days last week. I was a little sad because books I was looking forward to weren't there. My daughter's school only goes to fifth grade so some of the MG books weren't at our fair. :(
- Making Book Trailers I'm working on the trailer for The Darkness Within. This one is proving to be tough! Wish me luck, please.
- Busy Month With Looking For Love (Ashelyn Drake NA romance title) releasing March 17th, I'm busy getting everything ready. Look for a cover reveal on February 13th.
