7. The Hype Cycle (highsnobiety.com x brad haubrich)

Over the summer I started working on an editorial project for the mens clothing / street wear blog
highsnobiety.com that was just published on their website today. The project consisted of one large illustration and eight spots, ultimately put together in the layout above and included in the article. They both illustrate the cycle of how vintage style sneakers go from worshiped to buried to re-discovered and then of course re-hyped on blogs. I would like to thank both Chris and Nick Schonberger of highsnobiety.com for giving me the chance to work on this awesome collaboration.

check out the awesome article that also has pictures of my work desk here

Thanks!
Brad

11. desktop battle

I just won the "desktop battle" over at my favorite design blog KITSUNE NOIR, the premise of the contest was to design a desktop wall paper under the theme of "ghosts". My entry "Ghost Ride" depicts a ghost riding through the night with all of his ghostly possesions, even his cat Betsy.

Check it out, it is available for download in multiple sizes

14. "Google and Its Enemies"

No matter how you feel about Google's Library Project, you may find ammunition for your point of view in an article in the December 10th issue of The Weekly Standard by Jonathan V. Last, called "Google and Its Enemies." The funniest single quote:

"Google has, as they say, all the right enemies. Anytime the ALA, Microsoft, France, a trade guild, and a bunch of trial lawyers are lined up on one side of an argument, the other side is going to look extremely attractive."

Incidentally, he actually doesn't like what Google is doing.
