What is the importance of the family in education?

“What is the importance of the family in education?” That’s the title of the article I illustrated for the supplement Comunidad del Diario La Nacion. As the author – Juan Marcos Pueyrredón- says: The social capital of the family is critical because the higher the interaction of parents with their children, the greater performance of the human capital of those and vice versa.

Clouds

A cloud. Grey. Heavy and ancient. I thought it would be gone. It’s still there, in the BA sky. I’ve been trying to draw all day long my positive news”. I can’t, only this. So I leave my illustration for another moment. I just have dark feelings and thoughts now. I hope the cloud  will not paralyze us. That the fear will not return.

Una nube. Gris. Pesada. Me sale ésto.

30. Turning your wishes into realities

Turning your wishes into realities

Oh, those marvellous words we spread around especially during the Holidays, when the year comes to an end and we are exited, waiting for the new one to come! But wait, wishing peace, love, being and working together is not enough. We have to have the willpower to make it true. Let’s open our eyes, we can make the difference! This is the idea of my recent illustration for the Comunidad issue of La Nación Newspaper.

Dancing before Christmas

Listening to Christmas songs online,  I fast forward into Christmas mood which has been so lazy this year. Fortunately, the magic never fails and here I am dancing to Run run Rudolf

34. Happy day, illustrators!

Dancing, yeah!

Dancing, yeah!

I’m dancing, yeah! It’s illustrator’s day and that’s what I’ve become. My childhood dream came true! It’s a difficult job, of course. But it’s what I love doing and what gave me wonderful friends, teachers and colleagues.  Days like today are just to celebrate our profession and be grateful for our lives.

35. Moving forward

E-mail

The news…

Just another party

And just another family party

I’m moving forward. And that’s good. The last almost three years drawing “The Ex” have been exciting.  I really had a wonderful time and have been able to develop different styles, play with colors and forms. Grew myself. So I’m grateful. It’s time to say goodbye to this project and take other risks. I do what I love, that ‘s the best part of it. So this is not an ending, it’s just a new beginning!

“Girls night out” is the last illustration I did for the October  issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine. As you can see, the styles is still changing, but I think I’ve found something I like and have fun with.  What do you think?

….

A few days ago began the exhibition organized by Donceles 66, Encuentro y Conversación in tribute to the Mexican writer Pascuala Corona. I was invited to participate sending one of my illustrations, like other colleagues from different Latin American countries.

The story that I illustrated is
called “El Tamborcito de Cuero Piojo” and discusses how to overcome obstacles when you think you can do it, when you love what you want to achieve and when you have friends to put trust in. I used the opportunity to experiment with quite different characters than I usually do – and I had fun doing it, I hope you like them!I want to say thanks for the the opportunitiy of being present there.

39. Two drawings in a row!

Living together

Living together

Help from my friends

Friends are the best!

Lately, the printed edition of “La Columna de la Ex” from Cosmopolitan Magazine has started having two of my illustrations instead of only one like it did before. The drawing style has changed and it will surely keep on doing it. So today I’m showing you two drawings in a row! They are the ones I did for the issue of  September, full of spring colors.

40. The power of internet and the social networks used to generate changes

The power of the internet

The power of the internet

Bravo!

Without realizing it, we are becoming more active and socially engaged citizens. Points in favor of new technologies. Bravo!
