1. A wagon full of friends

I completed a last minute piece for my portfolio. Here's the sketch. I'm thinking of squeezing in one more.

2. Sketchbook Project

I finally got up my nerve to do something with my sketchbook, for the Sketchbook Project. I've had this thing for weeks! This sketchbook is supposed to allow me to play, but I freeze up every time I pick it up. This spread is actually on pages 6-7. Don't ask what happened to page 1-5!

This is as far as I could get on the first page. You can just see the bad sketch of my dog on the next page.

3. A Message of Hope and Inspiration

I've been busy keeping my attitude positive in these trying/terrifying times. I really believe things will get better eventually. Between the economy, family members' being badly affected by it, and also family health problems it can be a real struggle sometimes. Bad times happen from time to time and I don't want to wallow in it. No matter what, each new day brings new possibilities.

I have always wanted to inspire people. To remind them that good comes from even the worst situations. We all know that worrying doesn't change the situation--it does no good whatsoever. I think it actually makes things worse.

This illo is the first in a series of hope inspiring images. It's available in my shop Let me know what you think.

As far as inspiration goes, check out these blogs that inspire me and make me smile:
