Last week, our whole family went to Camp du Nord, a YMCA family camp in northern Minnesota. We've been several times but hadn't gone for about 6 years. It was great to return.

No cooking

No laptop

Stars

Quiet

Kayaks

Lake

Wildlife

Storms

 

THINGS I DON'T LOVE ABOUT CAMP

Bugs

Showerhouse

Walking my daughter to the showerhouse at 3 a.m.

Flashlights that quit working on the way to the showerhouse

Electricity going out (only for a couple of hours, thankfully) due to storms

Here are a few pix (viewable only by friends). None of older daughter because she doesn't like being photographed at the moment, but she had a great time, too!

I got lots of ideas/notes for a camp-based project that's been simmering in my brain for a couple of years. Other than that, I just soaked in the beauty of northern Minnesota!
