6. Esio Trot is headed to the big screen.

From Showbiz411:

“Esiotrot” is tortoise spelled backwards. It’s also the title of a very popular 1990 Roald Dahl illustrated children’s story that involves a love story between two mature adults. And I can tell you that Dustin Hoffman and Dame Judi Dench are going to play the main characters. “Esiotrot” will film next month in England. Hoffman told me he’s a little nervous. “She’s Judi Dench!” But something tells me these two will hit it off famously.

8. For Marjorie, who is a Reasonable Person.

If it makes you feel any better, I just got called a hater by a Theodore Boone fan (who, granted, is agreeing with someone who's calling himself 'Fart bung', but whatever):

People out there really do love theo boone

So, really, we're in the same boat, right? C'MON, GIVE ME A HUG!

9. I'm not sure if I should tell Josh about this or not.

Stephen Amell (AKA Oliver Queen AKA The Hood AKA Green Arrow AKA the star of Josh's favorite CW show except for Hart of Dixie) is in talks for the Fifty Shades of Grey movie:

Speaking in a video posted on his Facebook page, Amell said: "I get questions about Christian Grey all the time. That project is a long way off. I know this, because I had a meeting about it."

Amell then went on to tease his fans, saying: "A long way off. I mean, not that long, but not close. I wouldn't call it long, but I wouldn't call it close."

I... have no idea what he's trying to say. <insert joke about the dialogue on Arrow here>

10. New trailers: City of Bones and Percy Jackson #2.

CCH POUNDER FTW (If she's in it, I'll watch it. Also, LOVE Jared Harris.):

Annnnd Nathan Fillion and Giles FTW (My hopes are not high for this one, though, considering the quality of the first movie, the franchise has nowhere to go but up.):

11. Please let it be awesome, please let it be awesome...

Jonathan strange and mr norrell...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET IT BE AWESOME:

The BBC said its “Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell” mini-series would be presented in seven hourlong installments, adapted by Peter Harness (a screenwriter and playwright whose credits include “Wallander” and “Is Anybody There?”) and directed by Toby Haynes (“Doctor Who,” “Sherlock”).

12. A round-up of upcoming shows, including one starring Rupert Grint (!)...

...and the ones based on Lauren Oliver's Delirium and Kiera Cass' The Selection at Io9.

I continue to be disinterested in Delirium, but even discounting that one from the line-up, I'm concerned that I'M NEVER GOING TO GET ANYTHING DONE AGAIN.

14. Go the F**k to Sleep is headed to the big screen.

Go the fk to sleepFrom Deadline:

Husband-wife scripting team Ken Marino & Erica Oyama have been hired to adapt the book Go The F To Sleep for Fox 2000 and Twilight Saga producer Karen Rosenfelt and All You Need Is Kill producer Erwin Stoff. The book, which was written by Adam Mansbach and illustrated by Ricardo Cortes, is categorized as a children’s book for adults.

I had no idea that Ken Marino was so multi-talented! Love him.

15. Brooks Brothers has introduced...

...a Gatsby collection.

It's a bit* out of my price range, but DAMN, I love some of the pieces in it.

Very Chuck Bass!

(Unless I'm missing it, there doesn't appear to be a women's line, so the whole out-of-my-price-range thing is slightly less painful.)

16. Commute listening.

Currently on repeat in my car: The Milk Carton Kids' The Ash & Clay.

It's one of those records that just keeps getting better and better every time I listen to it. Also, every time I think I'm ready to listen to another album, I only get two songs in before popping this one in again. CLEARLY I NEED TO GO BACK AND GET THEIR PREVIOUS STUFF.

18. Ansel Elgort offered role of Augustus Waters in film adaptation of The Fault in our Stars.

Fault in our starsFrom EW:

“Ansel is whip-smart and uber-charismatic and everything I dreamed for Augustus Waters,” John Green tells EW in an exclusive statement. “I am by nature a cautious pessimist, but I’ll just say it: Now that we have Shailene and Ansel, I am completely, unreservedly psyched about this movie.”

James  Franco, Rachel McAdams, Jeff Bridges, Benicio Del Toro, Mackenzie Foy and Paul Giamatti are on board to voice characters in a big-screen take on The Little Prince, the classic French novella by Antoine de Saint-Exupery.

James Franco, huh? What's he been up to lately, anyway? I feel like I haven't seen him in ages.
