Mika itu suka ngulur2 waktu kl mau tidur,
masuk kamar jam 8 dengan tujuan supaya dia tidur jam 9, bisa molor sampe jam 10.





Alesannya banyak.
1. Main lego- bawa beberapa aja, buat temen tidur
2. Minum susu - setelah itu kumur air putih- sementara mata bo-nyoknya udah 5 watt
3. Baca buku satu- bisa sampe 5 buku sebenernya
4. Dengerin musik- bisa sampe kelar 1 cd full
5. Nyanyi.. , nyanyian apa aja dia suka nyanyiin sembari berbaring ditempat tidur, ngaco2an gitu, dari lagu 'kapal api' yang liriknya bisa brubah2 jadi ke lagu 'becak', sampe lagu2 dadakan yang diciptain sendiri

kadang mau marah jadi ketawa.

semua artikel di majalah parenting yang dulunya saya pikir mengada2 sekarang jadi masuk akal.

Mika like to extend bedtime.
If we going to the bedroom at 8 o'clock, it could end up at 10.

With many excuses of course, you can choose one of the listed below
1. Playing Lego, just a few Lego, for a companion..
2. Milk, after that water
3. One book please- well- actually it will take about 5 books
4. Music, music, the whole cd
5. Singing, she love to sing silly thing, a combination of song lyric will do :)

Makes me laugh of course.
And all the theory about parenting that I used to think it was silly, will becoming more, and more logical.
And it is nice.

A new hole, the alphabet, and the tripod

Err... just to confused finding the right words.. Just what happened lately in our house, this is the first one



Her first wishlist as a rabbit. Bunny have made a hole for herself, not yet move in but soon I think, she kept diggin and diggin, making my backyard so messy with all the soil - in rainy season!- hmph! but I just let her finish, I never see a rabbit hole before.. maybe next time she will be asking for a mate? *_*

I'm trying to keep the other little girl busy, trying to teach her how to read now, oooh.. how I admire teacher- how- tell me how- to teach a toddler to read, I don't even remember the first time, Mika always asking about how to read books, but always confuse in the spelling thing- maybe because the mother is a confuserrr.. heehee... So I do this playing with spelling thing, outside, drawing the letter, using picture, instead of using books and pencil, so far so good, I think she becomes interesting in this spelling activity, not more than 5-10 minutes per lesson :D..

Days of balloon and treasure :)

Balloon

Mika always love balloon, anykind of it, since she was little, the sound of the 'balloon-man' always
capture her attention, and it is true, a balloon a day makes the worry away :)

We're trying to make a shape from this long balloon into anything or something.. perhaps .. :') ,and the experiment need a lots of squeaze, a squeak and a biiiiig heart- because I am afraid of the sound of a popping balloon- and actually- we have successfully make a few of it.... *_*




This is the 'how-to' instruction, maybe we could make a monster shape someday, just learn from the basic first shall we..?








Our treasure!

There once a poem about little things that children adore, for example, the balloon,
sometimes adult just don't realize how this small things is actually a big matter for them, maybe we -adult- have to learn to listen and look carefully from the eye of the children... just remember when we're little.. you must have one- remember..? :)

And her treasure is this:
bing and bong doll, extra ordinary, rare collection, made from pillow, with a handmade face, and legs stick with a tape.. :)

And my treasure?
:: plastic mini becak, basket, coffee cup
:: vintage animals, I love the kitten and the baby elephant the most.. :)

Birthday and drawing!

Instead of giving Mika an instant birthday cake, I want her and her cousins to decorate their own version of cake. So I bought a plain mini cakes with many color of icing sugar, and give it to the kids, and few little candles to blow for each kids, yes it's beyond tradition, and yes, they have a good time with this activity, so why bother.. :D

I can say that they actually draw on the cakes, it's beautiful to see the excitement and the proud expression on their face.

And they ate their masterpiece with no doubt, taste it like it was the most delicious cake in the world... nice little world... :))

of nice weather.. I mean really really nice...

of kids and nature.. yes there's an invincible knots between children and nature,
when Mika prefer to go outside for a walk rather than her ' little einstein movies' , that what I called her- me- time with nature..

and some cookies for all of us, will complete it .....

but some overcooked cookies?
well that reminds me- to err is human :D

Happy things before Christmas

It's a little bit chaotic in our house lately, Mika got a cold and fever, dateline to catch, house to clean* I think I'm gonna left this one :).

And present, ooo.. the Christmas Present..., I forget how a child never forget.. and she remind me..

"Mom, is Santa's gonna come..?"
" Yes, dear, what do you want for Christmas..?"

" Leo- mom, the plastic one..*Leo-that famous- eyeglasses boys from Little Einstein..??

"... -pause-... mmm, what about the pillow version of Leo..? I don't think Santa have the plastic version.."

" Umm.. ok then...mom! I'm a good girl mom! - grin-"

Ok dear, then a pillow with Leo character is on the way.. wish me luck!

IF- Little Things

Being brainwashed by Ghibli's movie The Cat Returns, I represent my family as a cat family.. :)

I've been looking all my illos and found out that my most favourite objects is cat.. number two is monkey, and this week IF topic could bring them both perfectly :D

From all the little things I've done with Mika, this is what we do last week, making a new member of the family. We haven't named him yet, but he's surely an adorable little thing.. :)

Countdown to Christmas :)

- Mah bisa nyetir mobil ngak?
+ Ngak bisa
- Beli pohon jauh ya mah?
+ Iya..
- Papah kerja ya mah
+ Iya.., beli pohonnya akhir minggu aja ya..
- Pake ojek bisa ngak mah..
+ hngngnnngng... @$%^ *_*

niat buat pake pohon beneran terpaksa ngak jadi, gara2 sikonyil yang udah ribut duluan minta pasang pohon ..

- Mom can you drive a car?
+ Can't dear..
- Is it very far for us to go to the tree nursery?
+ Yes dear ..
- Is dad going to work today mom?
+ Yes, dear we can buy the tree on the weekend ok....
- Can we go there by 'ojek' mom..? *ojek- a motorcycle taxi

Thats the story why we cancelled buying a real tree..

Last night she find me working and have this idea,"Mom, I'll do your hair ok..?"
" Ok.. - she will comb my hair as usually -I think..."

November Rain Inside Activity

Musti cari aktivitas didalem rumah nih, udah ujan terus belakangan. Inget sama buku yang aku ilustrasiin buat Arleen, jadinya bikinlah itu teepee Indian.

Bahannya gampang dari kertas koran digulung2 dijadiin piramid.

"Mika, bikin rumah indian yuk?"
" Yuk, yuk, gimana mah?
Dari koran diapain mah? ikutan ya?!!"

Butuh 4 gulungan koran panjang.
Dan 4 gulungan koran pendek.

Baru satu gulungan koran panjang.

" Udah blom mah???!!" sembari loncat2 ala monchichis

"Belom neng, bentar ya.."

3 gulungan koran panjang.
"Bletak!"
"Aduh! Neng, ati2 bawa korannya.. bisa nyodok2 orang..." mataku kesodok koran, asik deh!

Sekarang gulungan yg pendek.
"udah belom mah, diapain mah?" - rewind statement ini kira2 6-12 kali.

Komen terakhir "Pintunya mana mah?"
dhaaaaaaa.......

:: Indiannya ngantuk abis maen, terus minta makan, abis itu tidur didalem teepeenya.

Little carpenter

"Can we go to Emak house mom?" -

"Well it's late now, dear.. "

"but I want to play hammer and screw, moommm..." and her face reddened, waiting for approval and her eyes shed a little tears. [emak gives her this idea this morning :) ]


















Looking here and there to make her little one stop crying, at last she found a sterofoam, a wood hammer plaything and a screw, at last... , that knocking sound is perfect, for tonight, and the day after.. , and the monkeys do looks good..
