Under the Pile

Done, done, DONE!!  Hooray! I am done with my accounting for my business. It is NOT my favorite part of life but it must be done.  I had to learn a new software too.  As much as I dislike book work, it is a happy day when it is DONE! DONE! DONE!

2. Gulf Animal Rescue Auction (Ripple)

Thanks to pals JJK & Mr. Warburton, I've been alerted to Kelly Light's lovely art-based response to the horrific oil infusion into the Gulf of Mexico, a continuing disaster that with further decimate my hometown of New Orleans. She's created a continuing illustration sale called, appropriately, RIPPLE to raise $$$ for Gulf animal rescue organizations. I'll be speaking and signing in Pittsburgh, PA. Oh, and the dentist, I have to go to the dentist. Ugh.

It is frustrating having no control over my characters. While rabid Sheep in the Big City fans were tatooing Sheep on their butts, Cartoon Network refused to release the cult show on DVD (or even allow Curious Pictures to do so). Then, suddenly, they release Season One on iTunes. I run into a CN exec. who tells me that they've done very well. The logical next move? Well, certainly not

6. A Mini Editorial…

While I am not an animation purist who distains all computers and their ilk (hi, Amid!), I found this montage in an article about the making of Shrek 3 fascinating. Notice how the images dramatically lose their appeal from story-board to completed image. Wow. Give me Mr. Steig any day.
