She sent me these photos of our new releases in a special display and of her daughter who I'm delighted to call a fan of my wolfish books. :) Thanks so much, Sharon! She said I probably have tons of pictures, but uhm, no, I never think to take a camera with me to book signings!!! And not to book stores either. But I loved these. They're wonderful!!! And your daughter models Destiny of the Wolf just beautifully!
And it looks like Temptation of the Wolf is changing to To Tempt the Wolf. I love the new title! The art department is now working on the cover and I can't wait to show it off!
If you haven't had a chance to drop by and try for a chance at Destiny of the Wolf, come by and say hi!I will be working all day and will have to catch up with everyone later. :)
Have a super Saturday!

3. 5 ANGELS from FAR for THE VAMPIRE...IN My DREAMS

5 FIVE ANGELS!!! from FAR
Terry Lee Wilde has written a terrific young adult story. Once I started The Vampire…In My Dreams, I could not stop until I got to the last page. Dominic is charming, witty, and is not against having Marissa help him. He does what he can to protect her, while realizing she can do more than sit and hide. Marissa is also a character to love. She knows she’s not perfect, but she doesn’t waste time whining about her faults. I was caught up in the story, and I can’t wait to read more by Terry Lee Wilde.Reviewed by: Ashley

5. 5 Star Plus Review---The Vampire...In My Dreams

The Vampire…In My Dreams by Terry Lee Wilde
Samhain

This story is masterfully told, giving each character (Marissa and Dominic) their own chapters told from their POV (point of view)…a most clever and unique way to tell a story in my opinion. This is a good love story, a very unique tale, and very well written by the author. I enjoyed this immensely. I give this a five plus and urge the author to make this a continuing series! Well done! 5 plus!

6. The Writer-Hating Bus

Robin, over at her blog, reminded me about Anne Lamott's famous writer-hating bus.

You know, the one that runs you down
before you have a chance to fix all those problems in your crappy rough draft. The one that leaves you with a tombstone that reads:

Thought
(she was a writer)

Not to mention the obit that says:

"A sad, wrinkled manuscript
was found decaying on her desk.
There were massive doses of
literary Botox in her system."

Oh, Robin, now I'm going to have nightmares about that bus. Does it go by my street? What color is it? Are there terrifying ads on the side of it, like:

BAD WRITER, BAD.
YOU SHOULD NOT BE TRYING TO CATCH THIS BUS. YOU SHOULD BE HOME, REVISING THAT CRAPPY DRAFT.

Do you think school did this to us? Made us not want to show our messy assignments as if they were the literary equivalent of tattered underwear?

Robin also mentions gold stars. Oh, man! I can see the shiny little things now. How they poke your tongue with their sharp points when you lick them! How they twinkle when placed in a wobbly row!

It was one of the hardest things I had to face in writing my first book. No one cared if I finished it or not. There was no Gold Star Giver. Nope, there wasn't even a box of "Good Job" stickers to console me for a less than stellar try.

What finally got me writing was the thought of another powerful bus. The End of the Line Bus. When I reached the end of the line, where did I want to be? What destination would make me content to give up my seat?

The only answer, for me, was to have written a book. Okay, yes, I wanted to have loved, and been loved,
a lot. But besides that? Nope. Nothing else but a book with my name on it felt like a Big Gold Star destination to me.

At that moment, I knew I was toast. I didn't want to live the rest of my life knowing that I could have made myself happy, but didn't. That I could have given myself a Gold Star, but didn't.

P.S. Look both ways before you cross the street this week. I'm thinking of learning to drive a bus.
