I believe I would have noticed, at least the thunder :-D
So often, I’m so preoccupied that I tune Him out. How wonderful it is when I step out in the quiet and take time to tune in. <3
We all suffer from overly busy brains. It is, I think, part of being a writer. There are always words zipping around. It distracts me in all kinds of ways, not just from noticing nature, but from hearing what people are saying, seeing what’s going on right in front of me. And from sleeping.
