Daily observations from one writer's point of view. I just happen to love writing children's books. I have posted book two in MP3 format on my podbean account, it is book 2 entitled, "Mr. Trail Pants and the Secret."

Once again, just when I had hope I didn't have to seep off my car,, it is snowing again and windy and turned cold.  Yuck!  I guess that means  I spend more time puttering around.  I enjoy puttering, which also means more time not working on the second edition of 'Norma'  I have to print out what I have written thus far for a friend who likes to read my books.

I figured out a way to make my own iphone cases with craft paper, now I have about 20 different patterns to chose from (I love choices).  I used my Silhouette Cameo to make them and I should include a photo of them.  I simply used craft papers bought in Walmart at the 97 cent aisle back in the craft section.  I like the racks that are discounted as my tastes are somewhat avant garde (sic) and 97 cents sounded good.

I recently joined up with several groups on Swap-bot I am enjoying meeting new people with similar interests.  It is making winter more tolerable to get through.  Aka, passing the time.

I will continue this later

Post note - have I mentioned some of the things I have designed appear on my Flickr account?

New hobby continued...

Okay, I have noticed a new product line from Hero arts  Needless to say I will have to investigate!  Other than sitting here watching this stupid snow pile up I have to finish 4 atcs before Monday which shouldn't be too hard I am having a hard time coming up with fresh creative ideas (must be an age thing).

I am also currently taking stock of items I commonly run out of and finding my distress inks to be becoming low.  I'll bet you are wondering why I am boring you too death with my nonsensical verbage and such.  Would it be enough to say there is not much to do other than clean the house and work on the sequel to Noma and I can't figure out what should happen next.   Needless to say neither have been attempted and I firmly believe it is weather related.

I have a couple new discoveries in the world of paper arts  One being creation of acetate overlays.  It seems the Hero arts inks are smudge proof on acetate thus enabling an acetate layover to be utilized which is kind of neat.  Another is Twinkling h20s.  I didn't think they could be used for stamping they can it just has to be the right consistency in order to catch hold of the tooth of the rubber to make an impression.

Other than that not much is worth reporting.

Back  to my humdrum life...

Ok, welcome to those you poor, bored and often misunderstood soul!  You have stumbled across a blog of an an interesting person.  I say this because of my varied interests.  Lately (due to severe writer's block) I have revisited a favorite pastime....art journaling based on a scrapbooking theme among other things.  I have been working on atcs and finding the process to be quite illuminating on the way my brain perceives its environment.

I have recently acquired a lot more art materials (alright, alright I have spent way too much time in Michaels, Hobby Lobby, A.. Moore and JoAnns to name a few) and am trying out every type of media tricks I can come across on youTube and I thing I finally came across the type of art materials I enjoy most.

As it turns out, Spectrum noir (I have just recently purchased the entire collection - love it!) makes a very good product.  True, copic markers are a joy to caress with ones palm, but they are a bit pricey for me, so I only have a few of them.  The nois have a rustic feel to them and also easy to grip which I like.  I'm sure the wouldn't appreciate that description if they knew.  All I can say is from the view point of someone with Parkinson's and MS, I can very easily use them without difficulty which for me is a blessing.

I must say I have been experimenting with everything available to me and pretty much know the ins and outs and work arounds for those with physical limitations my contact address is [email protected] just in case I can help answer anyone's questions about a product or if you are a company interested in having someone like me to test a product.

I think I'm going to go color something, bye!

I discovered Runescape, big mistake. Lately I've been trying to find a good RPG just to pass some time. This is a good one, but I'm not sure I like it better than World of Warcraft. One moves quicker than the other yet it is still a bit more complicated. All in all, my CPU ends up motion running faster which makes my computer hotter.

Anyway, if you hadn't guessed I am a children's author and I'm currently writing to young adult novels, a historical paper on World War I (which I have been working on for about five years), and a myriad of other projects. I now go back to chapter 6.

Since I bought my iPhone I noticed how many people have them, of course it is one of those things where you don't notice it until you get one things. The beach is where I noticed it because this one woman's phone rang and I swear everyone on the beach who wasn't in the water thought it was their phone and that's including children!

I am surprised at how much we depend on technology these days, I can't go anywhere without my netbook or iPhone without feeling as though I am naked. I'm like that with books too. Now I could carry the Library of Congress on my external hard drives and feel just right as rain.

My life revolves around digital media and I am letting the world know this because, well just because I can and not have to deal with human contact. The only contact I have to deal with is very easily handled with the delete key (I am referring to comments placed on my posts). I never was any good at interpersonal relationships anyway PLUS any contact can be be done in my jammies.

Actually this whole internet thing is wonderful for the paranoid, just think about it...NO GERMS, no one sneezing on you, no inhalation of toxic substances, I cringe every time someone coughs. I am taking this a bit to the extreme only to emphasize my point and that is - NO ONE IS TALKING FACE TO FACE ANYMORE!!!

Are people even having sex in person??? Talk about Farenheit 451!!! I highly recommend this book, I have two copies of it and lend them out, get it and read the NON Ebook version (that's the kind you manually turn).

I digress, it's not the end of the world or is it?

17. Back again...

So, I guess I had best be getting down to business now that I can move more easily. I have missed so much by being laid up te last two years I better plot a course for new beginnings.

I suppose organization would be the key, so my iPhone 4S will come in quite handy for that, all I have to do is tell Siri to schedule all my calendar appts. and contacts, etc. If you haven't checked out the iPhone 4S I strongly suggest you do. I just heard version 5 is coming out in september (gee just before my birthday too) and I can't imagine what cool stuff it will do. I love my 4S. Now that I think of i I am wondering how many people could use the voice recognition technology, I know it has become a 'must have' for myself.

Okay, I am guilty of wasting time (valuable or not) on Facebook and I am admitting it. I refuse to live my life in shame, no not me, right here and now I am admitting to the virtual world that I indeed am guilty of wasting my time on Facebook not to mention numerous webcams of birds and animals and aquariums, and other absolutely nonsensical things. Which brings me to the question, what is the most time efficient manner by which to reach my 'goal' in searching a specific topic? Do people actually keep track of the amount of visual information they go through in a one hour period of web searching (or smurfing the web as I refer to it)?

I will bet no one bothers. Actually, I have become more conscious as to how long a simple search takes just to achieve a 'goal'. God, my life is boring. Time to Google something new...

Yeah! It appears my headset will get here tomorrow. I can't wait to reinstall all that software. Perhaps I haven't told you, I had a catastrophic error on my main computer where, of course 89% of my needed information was loaded. So, I had to completely format and am now reinstalling EVERYTHING. Geez.

Okay, I cannot believe I have broken my SECOND wireless Logitech headset. So, I ordered another one which turned out to be much less expensive. Now the waiting begins.
