The Interview

How did you get into being a consultant, trainer, and writer, and how much effort did it take?

I am an organizational effectiveness consultant and when people ask me what this means I typically explain by saying I work on change projects from the perspectives of people, engagement and structure. My favorite projects focus on institutional strengthening, performance effectiveness, and organizational design. My primary aim is to help organizations to position themselves for growth while building employee engagement. I am so fortunate to have found what I love to do and every client provides me with infinite opportunities for new perspectives.

Mentors involved in your writing process and how they helped with your development of your book.

Dr. Lucille Richardson is an author and mentor who helped me to improve the E.Q. Librium manuscript with so many valuable suggestions. Thanks to Lucille for her honesty, insight, and dedication to the quality of E.Q. Librium.

The title of your book, what does it mean?

E.Q. Librium: Unleash the Power of Your Emotional Intelligence; A Proven Path to Career Success. When I coined the term E.Q. Librium I wanted to convey the link between emotional intelligence and balance. So E.Q. represents your emotional quotient, and Librium is derived from the Latin word Libra, which means balance. I chose this term because persons with higher emotional quotients are better able to self-regulate, and the more employees who value emotional self-regulation the healthier the culture.

With so many new business success books out there in the literary arena, what keeps you standing out from all the rest?

This is such a true statement. There are many books about emotional intelligence, in fact I have a number of them. With this in mind, what I aimed to do is write a book that provides proven practical tools to help anyone who is committed to improving their emotional quotient in the context of the workplace. I also chose to differentiate myself further by creating the companion activity book, Getting to E.Q. Librium and The Games People Play at Work, an interactive learning solution.

How can we learn more about your book?

You can contact me on my website http://www.orgsoul.com/ .

What inspired you to write the book?

The “It Factor” started as a journal, I spent more than five years researching, writing and formatting the book.

What is Charisma?

Charisma is that special and compelling spark within you that makes you who you are, different from the rest, with the ability to excite yourself and others.

Describe your book in 3 words.

How do you find your passion?

If you want to excel in anything, you need to have a passion for it. Many people are on a path to discover their passion in life or their life’s mission. You need to identify your passion by exploring what engages your mind and spirit.

Why is meditation so important?

Meditation can really help you connect to yourself. Meditation makes you gentle and calm. People who meditate are in a better position to resolve issues on their own. 4. The YP Publishing Chats With Author Gahan Hanmer

Gahan Hanmer is the author of “The Kingdom on the Edge of Reality.” Gahan shares with his readers the story behind his writing.

Gahan Hanmer was born into a family of actors and painters. As a youth, he received satisfaction and appreciation from the work he did on the stage, which began when he was eight years old. Under the guidance of his uncle actor Marlon Brando, Gahan developed his talent exclusively as a theater artist, working with many inspired teachers and directors.

Gahan found himself working on and off in the classical theater and supported himself with various odd GahanHanmerjobs.Trained in the Stanislavski ‘method’, living truly in the skins and minds of these characters, he absorbed what each of them had to teach him.

Later in life, after he had stopped working for the theater, he began to try to organize some of what life had taught him in a novel of romance and adventure. Every night, after his two daughters were in bed, he became the main character in a perilous mythical journey and recorded it as it unfolded in his imagination. Years later, rewritten and revised many times and finally pruned and polished, the result was The Kingdom on the Edge of Reality.

You can visit his website at http://thekingdomontheedgeofreality.com/.

The Interview

Q – Tell us about your interest in the middle ages?

My interest began when I started traveling. I became a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism (Medieval festivals and role playing) for awhile,  I ride horses and I am also a trained stage duelist and stage dueling teacher.

Q –  What started you writing?

I attended a private school much like the one that appears in my book. I was an editor of the school literary magazine. In college I wrote a novella that no longer exists about animal characters in an artist colony. As a young child I wrote detective stories. I’m told that I could read when I was three years old.

Q – How would you describe your book?

The Kingdom on the Edge of Reality has the shape of a fantasy (small kingdom set aside in time and space, saintly king, evil duke, prophecy, unlikely hero), the book is about a real kingdom set up in the present day by a wealthy eccentric man in the Canadian wilderness; there is no magic, or fantasy creatures. Everything that takes place is the story is possible and could exist today. It’s not a fantasy. Among other things its a serious book about the human predicament and lies across several genres, or maybe falls through the cracks between several genres, and that’s what makes it unique.

Q – How can we learn more about your book?

I would gladly answer any questions related to The Kingdom on the Edge of Reality. You can contact me on my website http://thekingdomontheedgeofreality.com/contact.htm.

The Kingdom on the Edge of Reality is available at: Amazon, My Book Orders,, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and other retailers.

Behavior weight loss

Q -Who is your intended audience?

People who have struggled with their weight for a long time.

Q -What do you think will surprise readers the most?

What will surprise the readers the most is first the size of the book – it’s more like a handbook and I intentionally did that because I want my readers or individuals to refer to it like a handbook. The other surprise is that I’m not telling you to restrict your calories or go on a diet. I’m just showing you how to start changing your behaviours so that you can build your resilience reflex when it comes to attracting your ideal weight.

6. Powerful Presentations for Speakers Keynote vs PowerPoint

Speeches

Visuals help the audience retain information, help speakers stay on track with their content, and emphasize certain key points during the speaker’s presentation.

PowerPoint should enhance the presentation and the words of the speaker should stay at the forefront. Presentations should not be so complex that they lose the audience.

When deciding on whether to use Keynote or PowerPoint when designing your presentations consider the following:

Both Keynote and PowerPoint provide opportunity for the slide to be changed to various sizes and they can be changed to various graphic formats such as png and jpeg.

Keynote presentations can be saved as a pdf or video format to be played on Windows. For playing on PCs, you can export Keynote as pdf, PowerPoint presentation or quicktime movie.

Speakers often want to use something visual to emphasize their main points. Cartoons, photos and bar graphs are popular. PowerPoint was generally designed to support text-based presentations and does not support multimedia-heavy presentation as beautifully as Keynote.

With Keynote graphics are imported better as they are automatically scaled to fit into text boxes and shapes. With PowerPoint graphics need to be sized after they are placed on the spreadsheet. Pdf’s can be used in Keynote and PowerPoint as graphics and keep their pdf format.

PowerPoint has a wider variety of shapes or SmartArt that can be placed in the document. However Keynote has a really nice picture frame feature that can be placed around the shape or graphic.

Keynote has an Alpha feature where you can make areas of your presentation or graphics transparent by highlighting the area. This is a unique feature of Keynote. You can get rid of the background of an image, making it look as if the image is actually part of the presentation.

Using the inspector: Keynote has a wider selection of bullets to be used for your presentation than PowerPoint.

Both PowerPoint and Keynote have transition effects. Keynote has a lot more options than PowerPoint: effects like Sparkle, Shimmer, Twist and Anagram. If you want a more professional transition, you can use Magic Move. Keynote’s Magic Move is a powerful transition from one slide to another. With Keynote you can preview your effects before you implement them into your presentation. With PowerPoint you need to implement the transition or animation into your slide show to see how it works.
Keynote surpasses PowerPoint in animation. With Keynote you have the ability to move the object, zoom in and back out, move around the map, and much more. There is a wide range of choices and aspects that you can customize such as the speed of movement, position, size, and opacity. Both PowerPoint and Keynote templates are available for download online.

One of the best features is the Keynote iPad application. You can carry your mobile presentation with you all the time and play the presentation on your iPad. As well, the Remote control application for the iPad and iPhone allow you to present away from your laptop, and select the next slide via your iPod or iPhone.

With Keynote your presentation is automatically backed up in iCloud. With PowerPoint you can use free storage with Live.com.

7. The Six S’s of a Sales Page

success

As a freelance writer, putting together website sales copy can be an adventure. Listed below are the 6 essentials that you must provide in your sales page.

Sassy Headline

Your headline should stand out and be in a larger font.
The headline should grab attention, interest your reader and pre-qualify your prospect.
Subheadings that promise the reader a benefit.

Place a subheading underneath your main heading

Use subheadings in your copy to make the transition from one idea to the next. To make the reader want to continue reading, they must flow.  Subheadings are great for scrollers who can quickly see the product features and benefits. The Subheadings usually have check marks or bullets beside them. The features being a factual statement about the product and the benefits being what the prospect will get from this. How does it make them feel and what is in it for them?
Skepticism is erased with Testimonials

Back up your promises with testimonials. They provide proof that your product or service is a good resource.

Summarize by Handling Objections

Questions and answers are ideal for this. Figure out what is missing or what the common mistakes are and provide solutions. What you’re selling as a way to make sure those mistakes don’t happen in the future. This time, it’s different.
Spectacular close that provides the ideal solution

Don’t forget the call to action. Using graphics or large writing lets the reader know how they can purchase your product. Make it brief, and give an incentive to buy now, such as a lower price or bonuses that enhance the product.

Speaking Pictures or Video That Say A Thousand Words

Add a professional photograph of yourself or video that allows your prospect to make a connection with you and feel comfortable about their purchase decision.  Graphics can be used as purchase buttons, bullets and attention-getting images.

8. 6 Essential Mac Resources for Speakers

Billions of dollars are being spent on business meetings, events, and training worldwide. For many Speakers, the speech leads to other business. Having user friendly technology, being organized and on track, and not having to worry about the logistics and everything that is going on back home at the office ensures that the Speaker can deliver a great speech.
There are a ton of Mac applications out there. There are advantages and disadvantages to all of them, so research carefully before purchasing. Listed below are recommended applications for Speakers who are Mac Users.

iCal is a very popular Mac scheduling program. Many speakers synchronize other online calendar programs with iCal.

The Speakers need to use their calendar to hold dates, travel, project deadlines, and personal time deadlines. With iCal, you can create separate calendars — one for home, and another for business. You can also color code your appointments.

It helps if you can have access to your calendar while you travel. If you use iCloud, every iCal edit you make on your Mac automatically appears on your iPad and iPhone. As well, making changes on your iPhone will show in iCal.

MenuCalendarClock is an application created by Objectpark Software that provides more effective communication for Mac Users.

This application can be viewed quickly on your menu bar. No longer do you have to open your calendar manually. To use this application you need to be an Apple’s iCal and Microsoft’s Entourage user.

Place your mouse over a highlighted day and a tooltip appears displaying that day’s events. If you actually click on a day, that day’s events and tasks are displayed at the bottom of the calendar display along with more detailed information, including colored boxes that represent each event’s category in your actual calendar—work, personal, etc.The calendar’s search field lets you quickly search for a particular event.

Best of all, MenuCalendarClock automatically checks your iCal or Entourage calendar for changes at an interval you determine: every 2, 20, or 60 minutes, or once per day. You can automatically import all of the birthday information from Address Book into an iCal calendar.

Call Recorder
is a Mac Application created by eCamm and is used with Skype. The advantage is that you can record audio telephone conversations. This can be used for audio interviews and video interviews. These interviews can be placed on your media page of your website. As well, you may wish to record calls that you can play back at a later date, or you may wish to use these recordings to create physical products, downloads, or upload these recordings onto Youtube.

Business Card Composer

The best way to be remembered as a Speaker is to have effective handouts. Your business card is the most basic type of handout that you can provide.

The application Business Card Composer is created by BeLight Software. Have you ever been short handouts at an event that you are speaking at? The Speaker can create their business cards while traveling. These cards can be printed professionally or by using their printer.

Business Card Composer has more than 100 templates included, along with custom layout and design features. Select any record from your Address Book when you’re ready, pick your card stock, click print and your cards are ready for cutting.

Keynote

Many Speakers use PowerPoint, a Microsoft Office Software, to make speaking presentations. Visuals help the audience retain information and also help Speakers stay on track with their content. The Mac application Keynote is very similar to PowerPoint and can be used during speaking presentations. Keynote can also be used as course material if the Speaker is a subject matter expert and has online courses. Keynote has an audio recording function and you can add music as background.

The Coding Monkeys

Many Speakers outsource editing and assistants to help manage [the back of delete this?] the office and assist them with marketing materials. The Coding Monkeys is an application created by SubEthaEdit Company. Having several people working on a document at the same time is feasible with SubEthaEdit 2.5. This application allows an unlimited number of participants to join a plain-text editing session over the Internet. Best of all, each person can edit the document simultaneously, and each person’s contributions are tracked in a different color. Everyone can see what others are doing.

10. Alexa Traffic Rank – Our Global Rank, why is this important to Authors?

Have potential advertisers asked you about your Alexa Traffic Rank? Have you visited sites who claim in their advertising that they have 100,000 visitors per month?

Alexa Traffic Rank is not determined solely on the traffic on your website. It takes into account the traffic to all sites and ranks sites relative to each other.  Changes in traffic to other sites affect your site’s rank.

The global traffic rank is a measure of how a website is doing relative to all other sites on the web over the past three months. The rank is calculated using a combination of the estimated average daily unique visitors to the site and the WebsiteServicespicestimated number of pageviews on the site over the past three months. The site with the highest combination of unique visitors and pageviews is ranked #1.
If you are an author who advertises on your site, or if you have guest bloggers on your site, then your Blogs Alexa score may be important to you. If you are looking to advertise your book or you want to be a guest blogger on other sites, the blogs Alexa score will help you decide if there are enough visitors or traffic to warrant paid advertising on that particular site.

Alexa is given more priority than Google page rank. Many advertisers and visitors judge your blog by looking at Alexa. A blog that has a ranking of less than 100,000 is doing great.

The first step is to install the Alexa toolbar. You need to use Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer as your browser.

To improve your Alexa Rank write a review for the blogs you like on the Alexa review system and give them high scores. Ask the people who like your blog to write a positive review for it on Alexa.

If you are interested in finding out more about Alexa and if you wish to install their toolbar, you can do so at http://www.alexa.com  and http://www.alexa.com/about.

12. Self-Publishing With iBooks Author Tips

Apple has reported that during their 3-week fiscal 2013 first quarter ending December 29, 2012, they sold over 22 Million iPads.

The iPad user friendliness makes it a convenient transportable computer for children, teens, the disabled and the elderly.  As well, iPads are used as cameras, ereaders, interactive study guides for students and game consoles.  If you are looking to expand your readership of your published book by targeting iPad Users then iBooks Author is for you.

iBooks Author supports interactive books.

Movies can be embedded into your book. Movies are placed in .m4v containers, and audio files are placed in .m4p containers. Play and pause button can be displayed.

iBooks Author has a wide selection of templates.

The widgets allow you to add Keynote presentations with custom animations that are placed right inside your book. Other widgets include pop-overs, chapter reviews, slide navigation and optional self-playing presentations that further create an interactive experience for the user.

Note: You can only view your ebook with your iPad.

You can sell your book or offer, if you wish, a shorter version or preview version of your book for free.  Your present ebook needs to be converted to an iBooks Author-created book file on the iBookstore. Apple will take 30% commission and can refuse to sell your book.

Authors must enter a new version number when publishing an update to a book already available on the iBooks Store. This avoids duplication.

14. Winning the Popularity Contest. Google Page Rank

As an author or writer we want our content displayed on high traffic websites. To see your page rank or to determine which sites to approach for guest post opportunities, download your page rank Google toolbar.

The page rank Google toolbar will tell you a site’s pagerank and alexa score.

The Google PageRank runs from 0, the worst, to 10, the best. The algorithm includes many elements such as your traffic and keywords, but it is primarily made up of the number of inbound links to your site. It tells other sites how popular you are on the web.

“PageRank” is named after Google cofounder and author of the algorithm, Larry Page.

A PageRank score is applied to a page, not a whole site, which means your web site will have a different PageRank  per page. PageRank helps to boost the organic search engine placement of your web site.

An inbound link from a highly ranked site will impact your own PageRank score. This, in turn, will increase the relevancy of your site, causing Google to place it higher in the results. As an author, that is why listing your site on high traffic writing or book sites is important.

@Photodune/NAN104

@Photodune/NAN104

The PageRank of all sites is published on the Google Toolbar. The Google Toolbar is a free plugin for Internet Explorer or Firefox. Embedded inside the Google Toolbar is the PageRank icon. To view the PageRank of any web site, simply go to their homepage and mouse-over the PageRank icon in the Google Toolbar. If no PageRank information is available, you may not be on the site’s home page. Worse, Google may not know about the page – this is often referred to as being “indexed by Google”. Indexing is simply storing your site’s pertinent information in a big database, so that it can be compared to other sites with similar data.

They soon find that they need to start from the beginning. Branding yourself online and

establishing expert status is based overwhelmingly on one factor – perception. Proclaiming yourself to be an expert is not enough. This takes time to build in the minds of new global targeted audience. Womenconnectbutton

After all, your brand is not what you say it is, it is what they say it is!

Once you successfully brand yourself you’ll become known as the authoritative expert in your niche. Not just in your community, but on an international level. People use the internet because they are looking to find solutions to their problems and answers to their questions. If you’re seen as the leading expert, you become the go-to person for solving problems and providing information to groups of people who are in need of it. You are perceived by other people as the expert in your given field.

Expertise does not guarantee that you will be successful. Sometimes it is those who are well branded who take the bigger pie slice within their given niche market. Those with the largest visibility and who have the best marketing strategy become known as the “Go to Person” within a specific industry.

A strong grasp of your subjective matter is, of course, a prerequisite to being clear about what your strengths are. The first question you must ask is, What is your unique selling proposition that also reflects your values? Perhaps you write and speak about being a cancer survivor. Also, that field. This is your unique selling point. You will need to know how to describe your brand and that you practice what you preach.

Figure out who your target audience is and where they go for information. Then get your message to them.

16. Getting the Bounce Back into Your Website.

You now have the Google tracking analytics code installed on your website and you are receiving your monthly reports in your inbox.

What is bounce rate and why is it important? Bounce rate is the percentage of visitors that visit only one page. Single page visits in which the person left your site from the entrance landing page.

Your bounce rate tells you whether visitors are having problems navigating through your site. There may be site design issues or usability issues. As well, your bounce rate tells you if your reader is engaged and if they find your content interesting enough to view other pages.

To see each pages bounce rate go to Behaviour, all pages, or behaviour
flow.

A 100 percent bounce rate

means that your visitor did not find anything interesting to click on. On the other hand, a zero percent bounce rate means visitors found something of interest to hold their attention. The goal is to WebsiteServicespichave a blog bounce rate of

less than 50 percent.

Google uses bounce rate as part of its algorithm. Some suggestions on improving your bounce rate on your website are the following:

  • View your website in different web browsers and check for functionality and usability.
  • Make sure your website is mobile friendly. For example, after viewing my website on an iPhone 5 I found that the drop down menu did not function – yet it worked perfectly on the iPhone 4s.
  • Make sure your links are working correctly and that your homepage is simple and easy to navigate. Go to http://validator.w3.org/checklink
  • Check to see which pages have a low bounce rate and are drawing an audience, and make changes to the pages that are not.
  • Keep your navigation bar simple and easy to access.
  • Make sure that the fonts used with your content on your website are easy to read and understand. For example, certain grey, italics, or white fonts on a black background may be hard to read.
  • Try to decrease download time on your landing page. Utilize your footer by placing menu options there.

18. EBook Distribution what is in it for YOU?

It has become easier than ever for selfpublished authors to be able to have their written work available for sale with online retailers.

As an authorsassistant, the common questions many authors have asked me when deciding whether to publish their eBook is “Will my book sell?, and What is in it for me?”

iBookstore Apple retains 30% of all revenue from sales. iBooks only accepts books in EPUB format. Customers can access the iBooks Store from the iTunes Store on a Mac or PC, and from the iBooks app on a

compatible iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.

Barnes and Noble Nook For NOOK Books with a List Price at or between $2.99 and $9.99, 65% of the List Price

For NOOK Books with a List Price at or below $2.98, or at or greater than $10.00 (but not more than $199.99 and not less than $0.99, 40% of the List Price).

Kindle There is a 35% royalty rate and a 70% royalty rate. If they want to make 70% “royalty” (profit per eBook sale) users must price their eBooks between $2.99 and $9.99.

Smashwords Smashwords will provide distribution to a wide assortment of retailers (Kobo, Sony and iTunes to name a few). You will earn 60% of the list price for sales through our major retailers, and earn 85% net for sales at the Smashwords Store.

19. Reach for the Stars with Google Analytics

You have now fulfilled your dreams – you are a published author. It is time to get the word out there to an international online audience.

It takes time to build relationships, learn your readers’ wants and needs, and develop a base of loyal fans. Understanding your potential readership is important when developing and maintaining your website. You want to know what marketing strategies are working and what strategies are not.
Google analytics tells us the demographics and psychographics of who is visiting our site. Our website viewers information is tracked for us on a monthly basis, all we need to do is place the Google analytics code on our website .Internet Marketing The YP Publishing

What do Google analytics tell us?  Google analytics helps us make strategic decisions about our current advertising campaigns, future promotional campaigns, who our readers are and how our audience sees us.

By logging into Google analytics we are able to see detailed monthly reports or, better yet, have these reports delivered to our inbox.

Some features of Google analytics are:

Identifying the mobile devices used to view our website. Go to audience, mobile to access this information.

Assisting us with targeted newsletter campaigns to potential readers. Do you need to know what region your advertising campaigns are currently reaching? Navigate to Audience > Geo > Finding our visitors’ location. Use segments, advanced filter or secondary dimensions to learn more about your how your visitors found you.

With Google analytics you can identify the percent of new visits per region. You can then target your advertising campaigns around mature vs emerging markets. Best of all, you are able to track the outcome. Not only will you know if an advertising campaign is working, this will help you decide where you need to build customer loyalty in various locations.

Behaviour – new vs returning visitors. Returning visitors means potential buyers. You may wish to build a customer loyalty program to target them through membership on your site or with an email newsletter campaign. This way you can build your list in one place, like Apple and Starbucks, and reward your readers for their long-term loyalty and prompt them to return.

Go to Audience, then Overview. From here we can see our visitors, unique visitors, pageviews, page visits , new vs returning visitors, bounce rate, and more.

New vs Returning Visitors

If visitors only view once and do not return, then you may not be marketing to the right audience or there may be issues with your site content.

Visitors and Unique Visitors tells us the visit length. The default visit duration is 30 minutes, but this duration of time can be reduced or extended using the _setSessionCookieTimeout method. Unique visitors are new visitors who have never visited your website before for that date range specified.

Pageviews

Pageviews tells you the amount of pages loaded on your site in a given month.
We can narrow down the bounce rate when we look into the keyword traffic. It is important that we pay attention to bounce rate and how many page views we have. This gives us the feel for how people see your site. How is the front end of your marketing working? We know the answer by looking at the keywords.

Keywords

Keywords tell us about the search engine traffic. Search traffic tells us the percentage of their traffic which comes from search engines. If it is low, it might mean that you are missing some important keywords that you should target and it may mean that you need to work on your SEO.

Many writers feel this way, but is it a sound argument? Go ahead and change “blog” to “book” and re-read the above three sentences. Uh-oh. See what happened there? You’ve just argued yourself out of a career in writing. ;) So, let’s assume that if you feel your book has a chance of standing out, despite all those that came before, then so does your blog. The Interview

Why would any believer read this book?

For one it has an excellent coverage of the biblical position. In addition, the simple reading of Genesis seems in complete contradiction with fossil record evidence. This contradiction is dealt with in The Broken Gift head on in a comprehensive manner – never done before.

The Creation Evolution Controversy what are you thoughts?

Currently, the creation-evolution debate has pitched religion against science. Did humans appear 200,000 years ago after evolving into existence over millions of years from a chimpanzee-human common ancestor? Or, was humanity divinely created less than The-Broken-Gift-small6,000 years ago? If the goal of this book is achieved, we will come closer to reconciling the two approaches and solve the most contentious element of the dispute—the disagreement over the origins of humankind.

What do you hope will come from others reading it?

Science and Genesis might offer different slants on how the world originated, they should at least agree on what happened, and when. Consequently, chronology is of vital importance to my interpretation of Genesis. My book provides a better understanding of our origins and of our two largest sources of knowledge – science and the Bible.

25. 7 Facebook Fanpage Tips for Authors

When Facebook changed to the new timeline interface on March 30, 2012, it brought about new ways to brand your business.

Seven benefits to having a Facebook Fanpage are:

The cover photo is

851px in width and 315px

in height. This leaves lots of room for you to show your company logo and pictures of your book.
If you have basic html skills the

Static iFrame

app allows you to create an About the Book page, newsletter optin form and almost any widget to your Facebook page. Best of all, it appears below your Company logo.

Static iFrame

Press the star

beside your favorite post, this enlarges the post making it a double column and pins it to the top. This can be useful if you are advertising an event or special promotion such as a speaking event, book review or book signing.

Facebook now has custom tabs

that can be changed. Each tab is an app that has custom tab icons or thumbnail pictures that you can create for each tab that grabs the reader’s attention. You can choose to show your Facebook Likes.

Facebook lets you choose your own custom URL

which can be your name, the name of your book or your publishing company.

The Admin panel at the top of your facebook page shows ‘insights’,

a feature that gives you a good idea on which posts are the most popular and how many fans are reading your post. You can also see the demographics of your readers, their age and gender.

Social Media Support

Plus Page tips

are clearly displayed in the admin area so that you can follow the changes to Facebook and receive help when needed. The only feature I would like to see changed on Facebook is I would like there to be an option where you can send private messages in bulk to your Facebook Fans. Otherwise Facebook is a great way to advertise your products and services and share information with like-minded followers.
