3. All-Star Night at the Game in St. Louis

Wow! What a fun and exciting evening I had last night when I had the privilege to attend the 80th All-Star Game at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. Here's a few pictures:

A mini-arch outside the stadium near where we stood in line (for half-an-hour) because of extra-tight security with President Obama's visit.

The Clydesdale horses open up the festivities inside.

The American and National Leagues' lineups.

President Obama--who threw the first pitch--shaking hands with fans later in the evening.

Oh, and by the way, I was one of the few to shake his hand. How exciting is that!

The President very graciously stopped on his way to the broadcast booth to shake hands with a few of us who were trying to catch a peek of him as he scurried by with this entourage. It was so generous of him to take the time from his schedule to greet us. That's a homerun in my book.

I'll share some more pics from the game tomorrow and highlights from the Robin Falls Kids Story Time radio program I was on this morning.

6. ROBIN FALLS KIDS - Great Things Happening Thanks to R.R.W.

Okay folks, April Robins is at it again.
And this time she has J.D. Holiday
as her #1 henchwoman!!

I am still not sure exactly what this April Robins wants from
me, but to date I have said YES to her Facebook invite to join
the new Robin Falls Book Garden: networking there and
elsewhere. The idea being to promote R.R.W. member's Books.
At her request, I have also added two coloring sheets (from 2 of
my books) to their Facebook site.

Now I come to what I suspect is the nitty-gritty of April's
latest idea. I think it is to help us writers become better known,
sell our books, and help parents and teachers HOOK kid's interest.

Ta-dah!!

Robin Falls Kids is sponsored by the Facebook groups
"Red River Writers," and will draw many
guest from its 2,400 members.

Did I get it right Robin?
If not, please correct me in the Comments below.

Children’s book authors, April Robins and J.D. Holiday, will act
as your Hosts. They will open the gate at Robin Falls, and
welcome you into their Book Garden. They will accompany
you through the Garden and introduce you to their children’s
book and YA author/illustrator friends. In the Garden,
masterpieces of art and words are continually blooming, and
ready to be picked. So please sit in a circle on the green grass
and listen to the storytellers paint with words. They will be glad
to answer your questions once they have finished their story

PLEASE PAY ATTENTION

Or you will become confused like me, and probably
miss something really GREAT!

Currently, Robin Falls Kids is in a networking mode. We are
making new friends and drawing from old. We have even opened
a Facebook Fan page called Robin Falls Kids. The link is
to the right. The intent of this B.T.R. show is to educate and
entertain children at home, schools, libraries, parties, and
book clubs.

Robin Falls Kids is sponsored by the
Facebook group, Red River Writers
( YES! I was right!! )

And to keep you on track, and un-confused,
check out the Robin Falls Kids Facebook page.

While you watch them get their act together, and learn what it's
all about, come join our Facebook group. There is a lot going on
at Red River Writers: blog tours, book reviews, author and
artist interviews, weekly promotional tips, to name a few. If you
have your own Blog Talk Radio show, we have R.R.W. members
who would like to be your guest. Just take the link provided to
the right and wade into the river.

GLUG! GLUG!

Careful now. Don't fall in and almost
drown - like ME!!
