It's been a wild and crazy weekend up here in Sullivan county. Friday was spent taking Brother Dave to Monticello to the Shortline bus terminal--which I must admit was not super-glamorous. What can you do? When I arrived home I found that Mom had made her way to the house, sans Georgina. Apparently Bridget Jones was greatly disappointed. We feuded briefly over who was to drive to Jeffersonville to dinner, and, failing to come to a resolution, ate pepperoni and cheese cubes in front of the tv. 30 DAYS OF NIGHT. Mom's verdict? Those vamps were rather "unseemly." (She has a point).
On Saturday she relented and allowed me to drive her into town, where we stocked up on more movies but forgot to buy actual sustenance. Whoopsie. We headed out to a lovely lakefront gorging--er, I mean, *dinner*--only to come back to a complete blackout.
Apparently some 500 people were without electricity. And let me tell you, while NYC falls apart during a blackout, you have never seen black until you've been in a blackout upstate, post-sundown. Caretaker Don got the generator up for us, and we huddled together to watch J-horror on my computer. Actually not a bad way to pass the night.
This morning it's raining, meaning that I get to stretch out with a new book and some work. Not that it'd be all that different if it weren't raining. But still.

-packet 4.1 (waiting, waiting, waiting for advisor feedback)
-Bradford 2 outline revision
-packet 4.2 bibliography is well under way: "Shift," by Jennifer Bradbury, "Rules," by Cynthia Lord, and "How I Live Now," by Meg Rosoff. All highly recommended.
Hopefully some essaying later today. Rain or no.
