christmas and the new year are on the horizon...which also happens to be this week's topic on another illustration blog. inspired by my satellite internet dish, without which...well, i don't even want to think about it! happy holidays everyone!
more of these to come, i suspect!
from another blog's creative prompt this week, "little things."
inspire me thursday's creative prompt this week is "ice." this was my submission, inspired by the quote, "in the depth of winter, i finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer." — albert camus. keep warm & inspired!
ideally, i would just drag the antique house i'm in now to central park and tuck it on the edge of the sheep meadow. then i wouldn't i have to pack anything up, or mow my own lawn, and i could eat a nutella crepe at bethesda fountain every morning for breakfast and roller skate to work.
this is the meal i am most likely to prepare for myself when i'm home alone. the original illustrations colors are very vibrant — i hope they translate well online!
named for the famous reindeer, vixen pranced into our house on december 24th, 2001, a pot-bellied, barrel-chested, pointy-eared ball of pitbull-lab energy. she may have slimmed out and calmed down a little over the years, but she's still chock-full of crazy antics and theatrical mannerisms, and does a wonderful job of keeping the kitchen floor tidy, the cats herded, and our house guests charmed.
ps: let's hope this post doesn't show up on the art thief's blog tonight!
Really cool collage!
unique, i love it.
you should do all 12!
