I like picture books with color schemes that get changed up and vary. It adds interest and variety to a book. That's one of the things I like about Susan Swan's illustrations in I Don't Believe in Elves. I also like her loose drawings. I Don't Believe in Elves is a Christmas story, which I didn't realize at first :>) so I guess this is our Christmas in July book!
