Cameron Boyce, a.k.a. Luke from Jessie!
Okay, Jessie fans, prepare yourselves. Cameron Boyce, who plays Luke on the show, is back again with another interview! It’s been a little while since our first interview with the 15-year-old star, so we’re bringing you a much-needed update. We caught up with the actor to talk about how Luke’s growing up, what kind of silly (and sweet) stuff his fans send him, and, yes, about Frank the lizard. Check it out!
Q: This year you seem to be growing up a lot! How has that changed your character?
Cameron: I’m growing, yeah, and hopefully Luke is taking more baths this year compared to last year! (laughs) He’s not as smelly! Hopefully, we will start getting some girls for Luke besides Jessie . . . he has got to get over Jessie.

Q: So how is it working with everyone, including the lizard?
Cameron: The lizard’s name is Frank, and he is a dude. He’s pretty slow and he is not very intimidating. You think that he can run after you and eat you, but he’s really slow. He’s a big boy!
Q: What kind of stuff do you get from the fans?
Cameron: I get a lot of funny letters. The cutest ones I get are from really little girls, because they are full of misspelled words and words are backwards. They all pretty much say, “You’re cute . . . I like you a lot!” I also get a lot of things in the mail . . . like bracelets. I get a lot of bracelets. I got a stuffed Koala from Georgia.

Interview by Sue Schneider
“It feels like a party every day. Hey, Jessie! Hey, hey, Jessie!” If you recognize this song, then you probably watch the Disney Channel show
Jessie.
Start with a small town Texas girl with dreams of the big city . . . add a wealthy, kooky family with 4 totally different kids, and you end up with Jessie. We know you guys are BIG fans and something BIG is supposed to be happening this fall. So to get you in the spirit, Jessie-style, answer the following quiz questions.
Would you rather . . .
1. Be a nanny to Emma, Luke, Ravi, and Zuri in New York City OR baby Prince George in England?
2. Have all of the clothes in Jessie’s closet OR Emma’s closet?
3. Inherit Mr. Kipling OR a giant angry tarantula as your new pet?
4. Vacation in Texas and hang out with cowboys OR California and hang with movie stars?
5. See Jessie fall in love with Tony the doorman OR Ross Lynch from Austin & Ally?
6. Be babysat by Nanny McPhee OR Agatha the evil nanny?
7. Miss a trip to outer space on your birthday OR get stranded in space forever? (like what happened to Ravi in the “Spaced Out” episode)
8. Have Bertram cook you breakfast OR go to IHOP?
Let us know what YOU would rather do, AND if you’ve heard the buzz of what is going to happen this fall!
- Ratha, STACKS Writer
Don’t you love Ravi?
I mean, who doesn’t? On the show, Jessie, Karan plays Ravi, one of Jessie’s four charges. In real life, Karan is super-sweet and cool. Last year, he even came by to answer fans’ questions.
We caught up with him again to see what he’s been up to since our last interview, what he likes about Ravi, what kind of pet he wants to have, and more. Check it out!
Q: What do you like about your character Ravi?
Karan: I love that he is really bright-eyed. He’s so new to the country. Well, I shouldn’t say new, since it’s been 3 years. But he is so bright-eyed and he looks at the world so hopefully, which is so cool.
Q: How do you like acting with Mrs. Kipling (a 7-foot Asian water monitor)?
Karan: It’s really cool. I love it. Having an animal on set is pretty awesome.
Q: Was it strange in the beginning working with such a big lizard? Was it scary?
Karan: Yes, definitely. I was really creeped out! It was really weird.
Q: Water monitors are not really man-eating, are they?
Karan: I think they eat meat!
Q: What is the best book you ever read?
Karan: The Diary of a Wimpy Kid books
. I acted in those films and love the books even more. They mean so much to me and I love them.
Q: So what is the most unusual talent you have that most people don’t know about?
Karan: I can do this weird thing with my thumb. It’s, like, double-jointed. It’s really weird that I can do this weird motion with it.
Q: If you could have any one pet in the world, what would it be?
Karan: A zebra. Zebras are awesome.
Q: What was your favorite TV show growing up?
Karan: SpongeBob SquarePants! I love it still.
Isn’t Karan the nicest guy? We certainly think so! Share your thoughts in the Comments section below. Be sure to check out our earlier interview with Karan

Jessie is in need of some extra money to buy a special gift for her dad’s birthday. She accepts a job at Empire Skate Building only to find out that Emma is her boss, in a new episode of Jessie premiering tonight, Friday June 13 (8:00 p.m. ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

The STACKS got our hands on this EXCLUSIVE photo from tonight’s episode, AND this exclusive Q&A with a few of the stars!
Q: If you weren’t an actor and could be anything in the world, what would you be?
Peyton List:
I would be a set designer. I’m adventurous, inquisitive, and curious. I have a very creative and imaginative mind. I love to conceptualize a certain theme in my head and work towards bringing that idea to life.
Skai Jackson: I would be a fashion designer because I love creating new looks and also making clothes. It’s my passion.
Karan Brar: If I wasn’t an actor and I could be anything in the world I would probably be a baker! I know it sounds kind of odd but I have a big sweet tooth and I love cake!
Cameron Boyce: If I could be anything, I’d be a Los Angeles Laker. I’ve loved basketball and especially the Lakers my whole life. I’ve actually played on the floor at Staples Center for a charity celebrity game. I couldn’t stop talking about it afterwards. I’m 15 years old and I still play in my driveway and shoot before the clock in my head runs out.

Interview with Maia Mitchell from
Teen Beach Movie
Maia Mitchell is one of the coolest girls on TV. The 20-year-old Australian actress and singer won over American audiences when she starred in last summer’s runaway hit, Teen Beach Movie
.
We caught up with
Maia to talk about her new show, her real-life family, and the possibility of another
Teen Beach Movie (!!!).
Q: Are you doing another Teen Beach Movie?
A: It hasn’t been confirmed yet, but if there is one, I’ll be in it. I literally haven’t heard anything or seen a script. I don’t even know if screenwriters have finished writing a script. I know that there are a bunch of different ideas at the moment, but you might even know more than I know! [UPDATE! Production on Teen Beach Movie 2 begins in July, reuniting the cast of Ross Lynch, Maia Mitchell, Grace Phipps, Garrett Clayton and John DeLuca. It will air in 2015.]
Q: Were you surprised by the success of Teen Beach Movie?
A: Yes, I definitely was. I’m very proud of it. You just never know what is going to be a hit and what’s not. It was promoted in the right way and it got to the right audience!
Q: What does your little brother think of your success?
A: He’s not fazed in the slightest! He wants to be a professional cricket player. He plays cricket for a team in New South Wales back in Australia. He sleeps with a cricket bat…he has cricket books under his pillow. All he cares about in the whole world is cricket.
Q: Was Jessie
the first thing you did for Disney?
A: I did a pilot for Disney called Zombies and Cheerleaders, which didn’t get picked up, and that was originally what I had auditioned for before Teen Beach Movie. I shot that pilot and Teen Beach Movie at the same time two years ago, and then I shot Jessie a year later.
Q: How was it working with Debby Ryan
?
A: It was fun. Debby is a really good friend of mine. It was very comfortable even though I had never done that kind of acting before. The kids are really cool…. the set is really cool. It’s definitely a family dynamic.
