2. The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks by E Lockhart, 345pp, RL: TEEN

First published on 9/10/10, Lockhart's book is one that I think all teenage girls should read. Frankie is a vulnerable but smart protagonist who challenges the status quo.
