I've been working on some revisions and refinements on the Greensleeves sketch. Will post more when I get it further along. (This is a rejected exploration..)
So instead, I'm posting a couple of pages of quick heads from a meeting tonight -
Approximately 5 minutes each. In my teeny purse Moleskine...
...sketches at church...
...long meeting...
...lots of speakers...
...lots of 'alternate' activities going on in the younger set...
...they seem the happiest. :-)
Smudgy purse-Moleskine sketches -
-some actually from a meeting last night -
- others from today...
I cannot believe the first one was rejected. What was the reasoning?
It was rejected by me. I'm sticking with the profile I posted last Wednesday. :-)
I am always astonished by these small, wonderful and FAST sketches you do! (also sounds like an ideal way to spend a meeting)
Hayden - I was inspired by James Gurney (whose tiny faces totally put mine to shame, his are so beautiful): http://gurneyjourney.blogspot.com/2007/08/face-book.html
I like both greensleeves and I would have had a hard time rejecting anything you do Tara. I love your faces too and am fascinated by them. I haven't been to gurney's blog in quite awhile but I'll have to go check it out now!
Small faces are so fun! why are you rejecting Greensleeves? something about the arm????
Thanks Vickie. (And yes, his blog is always an inspiration).
d.moll - I was just trying a version where you could see a little more of her face. Decided I liked the profile better. Am going back to that version.
