Today I am thankful for a lot of things but if I had to narrow it down I would say it is my love of reading. I know my gift came from my mother who was never without a book. She always had a different book in every room in the house. She'd have her tea and cigarette and read (she no longer smokes, YAY!). She'd have a book in her bedroom to read before bed. And there would undoubtedly be a book in the livingroom on the end table or coffee table for her to read while watching tv.
I now watch as my two daughters enjoy to read and I feel as if I have done right by them. Pushing a book into their hands will always be the best memory I will ever have.
Well here it is, almost Thanksgiving and I HAVE been reading up a storm. I've also been working a lot and trying to think if I could do some writing myself, but then I freeze up and don't write. For some reason opening up a word doc or Scrivener or whatever other program I have downloaded on my computer. I have some great ideas for stories that I don't think are similar to what is out there now. But my problem is do I want to write a paranormal a true-life story. Young adult or adult? My thoughts are just jumbled and I haven't a clue.
Anyway, here is a list of books that I read in the past few weeks:
The Duff
Misguided Angel
Linger
And Then Everything Unraveled
And Then I found out the Truth
*Beautiful Darkness (DNF) (I will go back to this one, just wasn't in the mood for it)
Immortal Beloved (DNF)
and I'm currently reading Hold Still.
These reviews will be coming soon. I just need to gather my thoug
Awesome books that you have read. :P I want to read Duff too, heard so many great things about it.
