1. Why It’s Weird to Have Egg on Your Face

  • Because it shouldn’t be on your face
  • It should be underneath a chicken
  • It’s a ridiculously obscure metaphor
  • There are a thousand better metaphors you could use
  • Who decided that it was a good metaphor?
  • If you say use the metaphor in conversation with someone who is unfamiliar with the phrase then you will look like a lunatic
  • Why an egg?
  • Why not a foetus?
  • How did it get there?
  • Is there bacon, too?
  • Saying it is probably more humiliating than what caused you to say it in the first place
  • You should be more worried about getting the egg off your face than talking about it being there
  • Is it possible to remove the egg?
  • If not, could you pay someone to remove it?
  • Are you more or less attractive to the opposite sex if you have egg on your face?
  • Could you function in normal society if it proved impossible to remove the egg?
  • Can anyone get egg on their face, or just particularly unfortunate people?
  • What form is the egg in? An uncooked egg, retaining its shell and defying gravity (unless you are lying down), is even more weird than a fried or raw egg
  • Is it possible to eat the egg?
  • If not, what would happen if you did?
  • Would it be possible to use the egg as an ingredient to make other things?
  • What is more embarrassing than having egg on your face?

3. The Fallen on ABC Family tonight!

Last year, ABC Family aired a 2-hour television movie based on The Fallen book series by Thomas E. Sniegoski. This weekend, the channel is airing four new hours of the program, continuing the story of Aaron, a teenager who learns he is half-angel and may be the stuff of ancient prophecies. All six hours of the show will air today on ABC Family.

It has been said that angels walk among us . . . That they guide us . . . It could be the banker . . . The girl next door . . . the cop on the street . . . As the war wages between good and evil . . . There is a temptress that could destroy everything we believe in . . . But there is a boy, whose future is not his own . . . His destiny has been rewritten . . . This is his story . . .

Based on the series of hit books called "The Fallen" by Tom Sniegoski, FALLEN chronicles the phenomenal journey of an 18-year-old, who struggles to come to terms with his newly discovered identity as he is drawn into a world where angels -- good and evil -- walk among us. This story delves into the mythology of the fallen angels and their offspring, who are looking for the chosen one to come redeem them and allow them back into Heaven.

Orphaned at birth, all Aaron Corbett ever wanted was a normal life. But just as he was beginning to settle in with his adoptive family, a higher power steps in and changes his entire existence.

On the eve of his 18th birthday, Aaron experiences some disturbing nightmares. Then, the day's events slowly reveal to him that he now possesses some unusual talents. As he plays with his dog, Gabriel, he discovers that he can communicate with him. In a scuffle with pals at school, he freezes time. Then, in a desperate attempt to understand what is happening to him, Aaron seeks guidance from his longtime psychologist, to whom he begins to speak in multiple languages.

But it is not until he is approached by two strangers that it becomes very clear to him that his fate is greater than he ever imagined. Destined to be the liaison between angels, mortals and the powers both good and evil, Aaron must fight for his own survival and to protect those he loves.

All six hours will air on ABC Family in one fell swoop today, from 4 PM PST/EST until 10 PM PST/EST. Check your local listings. The new episodes are entitled The Time of the Redeemer, Mysterious Ways & All That, Someone Always Has to Die, and Il Gran Rifiuto, but some online or cable listings are simply calling the new installments Part 2 (The Time of the Redeemer and Mysterious Ways & All That) and Part 3 (Someone Always Has to Die and Il Gran Rifiuto).
