1. This Week (and more)…

Knuffle Bunny Too reappears on the New York Times Bestseller list (at #10 for its 15th week). I’ll be speaking and signing in Athens, GA. On the weekend (March 1 +2), the New York International Children’s Film Festival will screen the animated version of Knuffle Bunny (in the Shorts for Tots section) and Sheep in the Big City’s Miss Pretty Hair Doll spot (in the My Body and Me(dia) section).

2. Frown...

Plus: A review. A gossip-y mention (scroll down). A list. (For those of you attending Toy Fair at the Javitz, I'll be at the Yottoy Booth signing this Tuesday at 1pm.)

3. And Now For Something Completely… (Belch)! (a special not for the kiddies post)

I know I’d previously said I’d taken the month off from ‘public appearances’ to concentrate on my books, but when pal Mr. Warburton informed me of an upcoming animation/drinking event I must admit I yearned for a bit of the hair of the dog. I’m talking about the animating. Y’know, there was a time when we could do both; but neither Tom nor I have attempted them simultaneously (despite that fact

4. STILL STUFFY AND A WEE BIT DIS-GRUNTLED

Well, here it is the day before New Year's eve, and I'm still looking at the world through a dis-gruntled sinus haze. A wee bit of a head-ache, but not enough to keep me from, more or less, living the days normally. I have a few quick moments to stop by and post a picture of my brand new collage original. I've just listed it in My Etsy Shop.

RABBIT'S CURIOUS DAY

It very well may be my most favorite collage yet. I just love the "dandy boys" and the curious rabbit. It will most definitely be offered in print very soon. Actually, if the original doesn't sell soon, I may keep it for myself and sell only prints.

Looks as though I'm off to start dinner. Something simple. Pasta and red sauce perhaps. I'm always happy with that as long as I have fresh parmesan and a few black olives.

If I don't find my way back here before the New Year....I hope you all have a fun and safe New Year's Eve and a comforting and warm New Year to come.

Until Next Time:

5. This Week…

As the year winds down, I hope to see you at my last public event of the year, Monday's Brooklyn Screening of the Knuffle Bunny cartoon. After that, it's down time and a chance for me to get started on the newest adventures of my two buddies, Elephant and Piggie!

6. Calendar…

I’m switching out to a new, dull calendar (it starts in December, for some reason) and saying goodbye to a great one from the Dutch Embassy on Dutch Design, entitled Holland Agenda 2007 (‘agenda’ means ‘calendar’ in Sutch, but is sounds vaguely threatening in English). Any-hoo, here’s a look at what I was up to last year: On tonight’s calendar is my ASIFA East Screening. See you there.

7. This week…

…I have two events in New York. On Wednesday I’ll be at Bank Street Books on the Upper West Side of at 4:30pm. Thursday is the ASIFA East screening of the animated adaptations of my books and conversation with Dave Levy at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts at 7pm (more info here). There will be books for sale and a brief signing afterwards. Knuffle Bunny Too: A Case of Mistaken Identity is

8. I'm Off...

I’ll be in Pittsburgh, PA for the next few days answering questions like these. If you’re around on Saturday, drop on by. While my interviewer may think I’ve got a ‘little bit of the Pigeon in me’, it’s a fact that this year’s Association of Booksellers for Children best book list has a little bit of Pigeon in it (page 21). Thanks ABC!

9. This Week...

Knuffle Bunny Too hangs on at #9 on the New York Times Bestseller List for it's ninth consecutive week. Jon Sciecska, a few pals, and I will help celebrate the Superhero Supply Store (826nyc) for a Wed. night benefit (call 826 for details, we'd love to see you and your check...) I'll be speaking and signing in Pittsburgh, PA. Oh, and the dentist, I have to go to the dentist. Ugh.

10. Weekend notes

Last night was the Brooklyn Library Gala which honored pal Jackie Woodson, was MC'ed by pal Jon Scieszka, and was attended by pals Ted and Betsy Lewin and Brett Helquist and tons of neighborhood friends. Lots of fun was had and gobs of cash were raised for library services all over the borough. If you're in CT this weekend, drop by the CT Children's Book Fest. I'll be there Sunday. Ta.

12. Quick Pix…

Here are some shots from the KB2 tour. Unfortunately, I forgot to pull out my camera for most of my visits, but I got a few shots… I visited with old pals. Got to take a quick tour of Pixar. (And had a fun signing for the animators and Pixar staff) Oh, and here’s an event where the kids were out on the parking lot with a bright yellow caution tape surrounding them. I’m not sure if

14. I'm Off!

I'm on my way to DC and Shenandoah for some conventions, speaking and color commentary. I'll see you there, or on the flip side. Until then, check out this very nice review of Today I Will Fly! from the guys at Just One More Book.
