1. MMGM Links (11/14/16)

Two weeks of touring down--one week to go! And since I'm currently in TX--and have to be up at the crack of dawn in order to make it to my morning school visit--I'm putting the links together much earlier than normal. Which may mean some of you who send your links late get missed this week. Sorry--things will hopefully be back to normal soon.

In the meantime, thank you for your patience, and for supporting me on tour (still several events to go--check my events page HERE to see if one of them is near you), and--more than anything else--thank you for this:

In case you don't recognize what you're looking at, that is the New York Times Bestselling SERIES list (!!!! a.k.a. "the uncrackable list.") And that is KEEPER sitting pretty at #6, with all the cool kids.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

And as if that weren't amazing enough, you also made LODESTAR debut at #92 on the USA Today Bestseller's list (top 100, baby!).

I don't know if you realize how incredible those things are, but they are HUGE. I'm still in shock. And YOU GUYS made it happen. Thank you for buying LODESTAR and spreading the word about the KEEPER series. You have officially made me look *much* cooler than I probably deserve.

*tacklehugs you all*

Also--final reminder--if you missed the pre-order giveaway, there's still a few days left to get the swaggish goodies. The special arrangement I made with Changing Hands for you to get a slightly cooler swag pack along with a signed (and personalized if you want it) copy of LODESTAR  doesn't end until 11/16. Go HERE to take advantage.

Okay, onto MMGM!

If you would like to join in the MMGM fun, all you have to do is blog about a middle grade book you love on a Monday (contests, author interviews and whatnot also count--but are most definitely not required) and email me the title of the book you're featuring and a link to your blog at SWMessenger (at) hotmail (dot) com. (Make sure you put MMGM or Marvelous Middle Grade Monday in the subject line so it gets sorted accurately--and please don't forget to say what book you're featuring) You MUST email me your link by Sunday evening in order to be included in the list of links for the coming Monday. (usually before 11pm PST is safe--but if I'm traveling it can vary. When in doubt, send early!) (Also make sure the post you send me is a new post, not one from earlier in the week. I try to keep the content fresh)

If you miss the cutoff, you are welcome to add your link in the comments on this post so people can find you, but I will not have time to update the post. Same goes for typos/errors on my part. I do my best to build the links correctly, but sometimes deadline-brain gets the best of me, and I'm sorry if it does. For those wondering why I don't use a Linky-widget instead, it's a simple matter of internet safety. The only way I can ensure that all the links lead to safe, appropriate places for someone of any age is if I build them myself. It's not a perfect system, but it allows me to keep better control.

Thank you so much for being a part of this awesome meme, and spreading the middle grade love!

*Please note: these posts are not a reflection of my own opinions on the books featured. Each blogger is responsible for their own MMGM content and I do not pre-screen reviews ahead of time, nor do I control what books they choose. I simply assemble the list based on the links that are emailed to me.

3. I hope you're ready for LODESTAR--because it's HERE! (And so is the paperback of NEVERSEEN!)

So here we are again.

Today is the day.

LODESTAR, my shiny book baby now officially makes its way into the world. I can only give it one last hug before letting it go and wishing it well:

LODESTAR is now yours.

I hope you love it as much as I do.

The story won't always go the way you're expecting it to--and I have a feeling this one will make you shout at the pages and fling the book into the wall (or maybe kick it) and ugly-cry at least once (I know I did as I wrote it). But if it does, that means I'm doing my job right. (Just make sure you don't accidentally hit anyone when you throw it--this thing is heavy. You could hurt someone!)

And I hope the story also makes you laugh, and cheer for the characters, and keep racing through those pages until the very end (and yes, I fully expect you to immediately demand book 6--sorry, I'm writing as fast as I can!)

And LODESTAR isn't the only book I have releasing today. The NEVERSEEN paperback is also (finally) hitting shelves, so for those of you who've been oh-so-(im)patiently awaiting that format so you can read--or who just like to collect my books--THE WAIT IS OVER! Tinier, paper-covered NEVERSEEN is HERE!

Thank you for reading this series. If it weren't for you guys buying the books (or requesting them at your library), and telling your friends about them, and posting about them on your social media, and posting reviews on amazon and goodreads and Barnes and Noble, I would've had to cut the story short long ago. You made books 6 and 7 possible. Thank you thank you thank you!

Oh, and one small plea: PLEASE remember that not everyone will be able to read the book immediately. Some have to wait for their copies to ship, or for it to be their turn at the library, or for birthday gifts or holiday gifts--or all kinds of other reasons. So try to be respectful with where/if you post any spoilers. I have a strict No Spoilers policy on this website and all of my social media, so I'll be deleting any posted there that I see (and no, marking it *spoiler alert* first won't make it okay. Neither will "vague spoilers"). But I'll also be traveling for the next three weeks, so I won't be able to check in as often, so *please please please* save that kind of thing for your own groups and feeds.

And here's hoping I'll get to meet some of you at my events while I'm on tour. Here's the full schedule of where to find me (and for more details on which ones do and don't require tickets, go HERE):

I also have some other fun things planned for the weeks ahead, including a special giveaway (and yes, I'll also release the LODESTAR playlist. I like to wait a few weeks, since sometimes the songs can be considered spoilers)

Okay, I guess I should stop rambling and let you guys get reading. Hope you enjoy!!!!

Oh, and as per tradition, here's a handy word cloud I made of the most commonly used words in LODESTAR. Happy reading!

**PS: if you took part in the pre-order swag giveaway, don't worry, your swag will be in the mail as soon as I can. I can't mail things while I'm traveling, but I'll do my best to get them on their way ASAP--and I always post a pic on Instagram when they go in the mail, so keep an eye out!**

4. WOO HOO--It's finally time for the LODESTAR Pre-Order GIVEAWAY!!!!

It's time guys.

The post you've been waiting for.

THE LODESTAR PRE-ORDER GIVEAWAY IS HERE!!!!

Now that we're three weeks away from the launch of LODESTAR (AHHHH--WHERE DOES TIME GO???), it's time to make sure you know how to get your free swaggish goodies!

(And warning: as always, this is a epically long post with LOTS of important information, so make sure you read it all carefully so you don't miss your opportunity)

(Note: if you're planning on coming to one of my signings, you don't need to take advantage of this giveaway, since I'll be giving out the same goodies at the events. Go HERE to see if I'll be doing a signing near you)

This giveaway is my way of trying to make up for the fact that it's impossible for me to tour to every city. If I could figure out a way to teleport, I'd meet each and every one of you in person. But since I can't, I like to make sure you all at least have a chance to get some of the fun things I give out at signings. So everyone who pre-orders a copy of LODESTAR before the cut-off date (10/31/16) AND fills out the form at the end of this post*, will get this awesome LODESTAR swag pack mailed directly to them:

In case you can't tell from the picture, you'll get:
One limited edition "Iggy's Purple Reign" art print postcard (which are hand signed--you just can't tell in the picture)
One hand signed KEEPER series bookplate
One Lodestar symbol sticker
One Iggy Sticker
One sheet of character stickers

And yes, EVERYONE who pre-orders the book and fills out the form before the cutoff date will get that!!!!!

And there's more!

I will also choose twenty-five (25) of you at random and give you this: (yes, that's in *addition* to the other swag!)

And again, in case you can't tell, that is:
One 5x7 character art postcard
One Verdi on duty button (the same buttons I'll be giving out at my local launch party)

You don't have to do anything special to enter for the extra goodies. I'll choose the winners randomly from all the people who fill out the form for their swag. So that's the only requirement: you must fill out the form at the end of this post. Which of course means you also must pre-order a copy of LODESTAR

And because I like to keep things simple, I don't require proof of purchase for the giveaway. If you say you pre-ordered LODESTAR, I trust you. But remember, liars have to lick lockers that taste like Iggy breath--meanwhile honest people get to eat big bowls of Starflower stew! :) I also won't be announcing the winners of the additional goodies. If you win the extra swag, you'll find out when your prize arrives in the mail.

This giveaway is open internationally. It also doesn't matter if you pre-order an eBook or a hardcover. As long as it's LODESTAR, it counts. And you can buy your copy anywhere books are sold. Of course I recommend shopping local from your favorite indie and supporting a local business. But it's up to you where you want to shop.

(and scroll down for one more option before you make your decision)

I also know lots of you pre-ordered your copies of LODESTAR months and months ago (which is so incredibly awesome, btw.) And if that's the case, you can definitely still fill out this form and get your free swag pack. But if you haven't ordered LODESTAR already, you must pre-order your copy before 11:59 pm (pacific time) on 10/31/16 AND fill out the form before then. After that I'll close the form and there will be no more ways to enter.

And there's no limit on how many swag packs you can get--as long as you buy the corresponding number of books. So if you pre-order five books, you can get five swag packs. Just make sure you tell me how many copies you pre-ordered so that I know how many swag packs to send you.

Also: since I'll be on tour when this contest ends, there *will* be a delay on when your swag gets mailed to you. But I PROMISE I'll have them all in the mail before November 30th. (most likely much sooner). And I always post on my social media when they go in the mail, so you'll know when to keep an eye out for it. Sorry for the small wait, I can't mail stuff while I'm traveling.

(And again, if you haven't checked to see if I'm touring in your area, see my events page HERE. I hope I'll get to meet at least some of you!)

One final option to keep in mind (since this is the point where many of you start panicking and emailing me saying BUT WHAT IF I'M NOT ONE OF THE LUCKY 25 WINNERS??????  I REALLY REALLY REALLY WANT THE SPECIAL POSTCARD AND BUTTON!!!!!!)

Once again, I've teamed up with the incredible people at Changing Hands Bookstore to give you a way that you're guaranteed to get the extra pin and postcard. If you order your copy of LODESTAR through Changing Hands before my event there at 7pm on 11/16/16 (yes, you even get a couple of extra weeks to take advantage of this awesome offer), they'll send you all of the swag I've mentioned in this post (except the signed book plate, since your book will actually come hand signed by me) as well as the extra postcard and the Verdi button. Changing Hands will ship anywhere--even internationally (there IS a shipping fee. You can call them for an estimate:
480.730.0205).

And if you decide to take advantage of this, here are a few things to keep in mind (and it's a little confusing so make sure you read it carefully):

Changing Hands won't ship your book until after the 11/16 (since they'll be holding onto them until I can sign them). But it will be worth the wait because you'll get a hand signed book and the extra goodies.

- If you decide to take advantage of this and buy your copy of LODESTAR through Changing Hands, DO NOT fill out the form below. Go to Changing Hands' website HERE (or call them--they're super friendly: 480.730.0205) and order LODESTAR before 7pm (mountain time) on November 16, 2016. That's all you have to do. Changing Hands will take care of the rest

Another advantage to this: this is the only way--aside from coming to one of my signings--to have your book personalized to you. I used to personalize all the bookplates, but that's gotten WAY too time consuming. So if you want a personalized, signed book--AND all the fun goodies I'm giving away--Changing Hands is the only way to go. But again, you HAVE to buy your book from them.

Um........... I *think* that covers everything--but if I missed something, feel free to ask in the comments. (note: I will only answer questions posted in the comments on my website. If you're reading this on Goodreads or any of the other places it feeds out to, make sure you go to shannonmessenger.com to ask your questions. And I'm also only going to answer questions that haven't already been covered by this post, so please make sure you've read this post carefully before you ask).

And .... I guess that's it. Though I do want to once again thank all of you for incredible support. This series keeps growing and growing and it's all because of you. I can't wait for you to read LODESTAR. I'm so incredibly proud of it.

Only three weeks to go--AHHHHHH!!!!!

Okay, here's the form (and if for some reason, it isn't loading, click HERE to access the form online)

*Please note: you must be 13 years or older to fill out this form. If you're not, please have your parent or guardian fill it out for you.

And I know a lot of you are reading that list and thinking, "BUT NONE OF THOSE ARE NEAR WHERE I LIVE!" I know. I'm sorry. I wish I could teleport and visit everyone. But alas, I have yet to manifest that ability. I also don't get to choose where my publisher sends me.

But if I'm not coming to see you--remember, you can get the same swaggish goodies I give out at events through the pre-order giveaway, which I will be posting all the details on next week! (Not sure which day yet--but all pre-orders count, so order anytime!)

And if you do live near my events--woo hoo, I hope you can make it to the signings! I would love to meet you!

I tend to get a lot of questions about events, so here's a few other pieces of info:
  • Every store has their own policy on bringing books from home to be signed at events, and I always defer to their wishes. If they're cool with it, I'm happy to sign any of my books that you bring. But if they don't allow that, then I can't sign them either. If you're worried, I'd call the store ahead of time and ask what their rules are. And even if they do allow you to bring books from home, it's always nice to buy *something* at the event as a way of thanking the store for hosting me. It doesn't have to be one of my books. Just something to support the store, since they go to a lot of effort to organize the event for me.
  • Yes, I'm happy to let you take a picture with me.
  • As far as I know, the only store doing wristbands is the B&N in Montclair, hosting the launch party. But if you're worried, you can always call the store to double check.
  • I'll be giving out the same swaggish goodies that will be part of the pre-order giveaway to everyone who comes to my events. So if you're coming to the event, you don't need to take part in the pre-order giveaway.
If I missed something, you're welcome to ask questions in the comments. Just make sure you ask the question on the actual blog post on my website and not on any of the places this blog feeds out to (like goodreads) because that's the only place I respond to them.

That's all for now--hope everyone has a great weekend. And check back next week for the Pre-Order giveaway!

6. LODESTAR Official Launch Party Details

Here we go again, guys.

We're about five weeks away from LODESTAR launching into the world.

*MUPPET FLAILING*

And like always, I have TONS of updates coming up, including the pre-order swag giveaway details and my final tour dates and locations. (you can actually find most of the tour info already on my events page if you're curious, but I'm still waiting on a couple of pieces of info so I'm waiting until I have EVERYTHING until I make an official post.)

I've also be sharing character art on social media--and have teasers coming up next month--so if you aren't following me on Instagram, you might wanna click HERE so you don't miss out)

And for those of you in SoCal (or thinking of visiting SoCal in November), here's the info for the official Launch Party:

And in case that graphic isn't loading for some reason, here are the details again in plain text:

Tuesday, 11/1/16
7:00 pm
Barnes &Noble Montclair Plaza
5183 Montclair Plaza Ln.
Montclair, CA 91763

And this year we're doing things a *little* differently. Since the signing line can get CRAZY long, we'll be using wristbands to make it easier for you guys. Don't worry--walk-ins the day of the event are still totally welcome. But if you want to make sure they don't run out of books and you'd like a guaranteed spot toward the front of the signing line, you can call (909)399-1966 and reserve your wristband for the event. Think of it as a Disneyland FastPass--only even more magical*

*okay, it's probably NOT more magical than Disneyland--can we call it a close second?

Wristbands will be organized into groups, so the sooner you call and reserve yours, the closer you'll be to the front of the line. Even better--it'll give us a better idea of how many cupcakes to bring (since we always seem to run out within minutes o.0) And the cupcakes this year are going to be SO GOOD--more on that later--so we want to make sure we have enough.

And as if free cupcakes aren't awesome enough, everyone who comes to the launch party and buys a copy of LODESTAR will get one of these shiny Verdi on Duty buttons (in addition to all the other swaggish goodies you'll see me talking about for the pre-order giveaway)

For those who don't live in SoCal or can't come to the launch, there will be a few other chances to get one of these buttons, but getting a wristband for the Launch Party guarantees you'll get one that night! (and those without wristbands at the launch party will most likely get one too--but the only way to guarantee it is to get the wristband, so seriously, call ahead and reserve yours!)

If you have any questions, feel free to ask away in the comments section below. Otherwise mark those calendars for 11/1/16.

And ....  that's it for now. But like I said--stay tuned. Soooooooooooooooooo many more exciting things are coming up over the next few weeks.

7. Behold--the gorgeous LODESTAR cover!!!!!!! And the plot description!!!! And official release date!!!!!

As you can tell from that exclamation mark heavy title, I have ALL THE EXITING THINGS for you today.

And like always, I'm not going to bother saying much right now because I know you're only here for one reason. So go on. Scroll down. Check out the AMAZINGNESS that is the LODESTAR cover.

....

....

....

TA DA!!!!

I swear, every year I think there's no way they can top my previous covers. And somehow they ALWAYS do. I mean, look at Sophie's face! She's like, BRING IT ON--I'VE GOT THIS. *sniffles* My little girl is so brave.

And yeah, I'm sure you have LOTS of questions. Most of which I won't be able to answer. But I'll cover a few.

~ That is Sophie, Fitz, and Tam on the cover
(OMG ISN'T TAM CUTE???)

~ Yes, everyone that isn't shown on the cover will still be in the book for all kinds of awesome scenes.

~ No, I will not tell you who the black-cloaked figure is. Or what exactly is going on. Or where they are. Or what is happening. Or anything else about the plot of the book.

BUT. I can share the official flap copy:

Dark schemes unfold--and Sophie's loyalty is pushed to the limit--in this thrilling fifth book in the best-selling KEEPER OF THE LOST CITIES SERIES.
Sophie Foster is back in the Lost Cities--but the Lost Cities have changed. The threat of war hangs heavy over her glittering world, and the Neverseen are wreaking havoc.
The lines between friend and enemy have blurred, and Sophie is unsure whom to trust. But when she's warned that the people she loves most will be the next victims, she knows she has to act.
A mysterious symbol could be the key--if only she knew how to translate it. Every new clue seems to lead deeper into her world's underbelly and the Black Swan aren't the only ones who have plans. The Neverseen have their own Initiative, and if Sophie doesn't stop it, they might finally have the ultimate means to control her.

Oh, and one more thing I can share. The release day!

LODESTAR goes on sale 11/1/16!

In fact, it's already up for pre-order on amazon (and all the other websites will be adding it soon. Amazon is always first for some weird reason)

(and yes, there will be another pre-order giveaway. Official details won't be posted until October--but all pre-orders count. So you're welcome to order anytime. In fact, I'll love you ever-so-much for doing so.) :)

**And before I leave you to go back to staring at the gorgeousness, I'm going to end with a plea. I work very very hard to keep this website spoiler free, since I want it to be a safe space for all of my readers, even those who haven't had a chance to read the full series yet. So I KNOW you're going to want to leave comments trying to guess what's going on in this amazing cover. But PLEASE keep those comments spoiler free. (And no, putting something like *SPOILERS BELOW* and then including a ton of spoilers doesn't work.) You can have those discussions lots of other place. But not here. My website is a "Spoiler Free Zone" and I *will* delete any comments that include even the slightest hint of a spoiler, okay? Thank you in advance for being the awesome, enthusiastic, respectful readers I know you can be.**

Okay, now go back and ogle the shiny cover of amazingness. And I'll get back to writing the book!

8. MMGM Links (2/1/16)

Okay, seriously HOW IS IT ALREADY FEBRUARY????  AND HOW AM I STILL WRESTLING SO MANY DEADLINES???

Ahem.

Sorry. Just seriously, where is the pause button? Or the TARDIS??? Or my genie with three wishes????

Ahem again.

Anyway, before I get to the links, I have one quick, exciting piece of news: it was announced today that Keeper of the Lost Cities is nominated for the California Young Readers Medal, which is just... such an amazing honor. The two books it's nominated with sound amazing (and have now been added to my TBR pile) so I'm sure it'll be some stiff competition. But regardless of how it all works out next year, when all the votes are cast, it's seriously such an incredible thing to have my book on this list and to get this kind of support. So thank you California. Thank you thank you thank you!

And...that's enough Shannon-gushing. On to MMGM!

10. The NEVERSEEN Superfan giveaway!

Yay--the time has come for my favorite (and last) giveaway of 2015--THE NEVERSEEN SUPERFAN GIVEAWAY!

I know some of you have been waiting ever-so-patiently for me to get my act together and get this organized (sorry for the delay--my travel schedule pushed everything back a couple of weeks). But I'm caught up and I'm ready and I have five awesome prizes. BEHOLD:

In case you can't tell, those are five (yes, FIVE) signed hardcovers of NEVERSEEN, all featuring hand drawn panakes blossoms (done by me, using prismacolor pencils, so they look even more awesome in real life). Which means there will be FIVE winners who will get one, (and yes the books can be personalized if you would like)

Since these are very special, very time consuming prizes for me to make, I want to make sure they go to true fans of the series. So like I've done in the past, I'm going to make you guys put in a *little* extra work to enter--but I've still done my best to also keep it as simple as possible and make a way that even those who haven't bought (or read) the book can still enter. AND, the advantage to this is, if you really really really want one, there are a lot of ways for you to get a TON of entries and increase your chances of winning.

So here's how this works.

To enter, you MUST complete these two simple steps.

STEP NUMBER ONE:

You must either:

  • Post a review of NEVERSEEN on amazon / goodreads / B&N / youtube / your blog or website / ANYWHERE ELSE YOU POST YOUR REVIEWS. And no, this doesn't mean you have to write a glowing, five star review (though of course you are WELCOME to). All that matters is that it's an honest review
  • Tweet / Instagram / FB / tumblr / pinterest / google+ / or ANY OTHER WAY YOU ATTACK THE INTERNETS with a photo of NEVERSEEN somewhere in the wild (could be your own personal copy in your hands, or a shiny copy on display in a store or library--doesn't matter to me. And if the store you go to is sold out, you can always request they bring in another copy. In fact, I would love you FOREVER for doing that because it helps get books back on the shelf faster!)*
  • Tweet / Instagram / FB / tumblr / pinterest / google+ / ANY OTHER WAY YOU ATTACK THE INTERNETS with your own KEEPER series fan art (Anything goes here--feel free to be as creative as you want. You can post drawings, quotes, crafts. baked goods, anything you dream up.)*
You only have to do one--though you are welcome to do as many as you want. I'll reward you with an extra entry for everything you do (and every social media platform you post it on--each one counts for an extra entry). The only requirement is that it must be NEW. If you've posted fan art, photos of the book, or reviews in the past--thank you! (no really, THANK YOU) But if you want it to count for the contest you'll need to do something new during the contest time period (December 16, 2015 - January 3, 2016). That's why I've given you three different options and count so many social media platforms--surely there's somewhere you can post the review again or something else you can do to enter.

*feel free to tag me in any of these things, to make doubly sure I see them. My instagram / twitter handle is @SW_Messenger

Once you've done whatever you'd like to from the list above, you'll need to let me know what you did so I can count your entries accordingly. Which brings me to:

STEP NUMBER TWO:
  • You MUST fill out the form at the bottom of this post, along with links to anywhere you posted the pictures/reviews. Form must be filled out by 11:59 pm pacific on Sunday, January 3, 2016

Step two is an absolutely essential step, because it's the only way I will see your entry. So don't forget to fill out the form. And International entries ARE accepted.

Winners won't be posted anywhere, nor will they be contacted prior to mailing. You'll know you're a winner when your prize shows up (and if it doesn't, then sadly you didn't win). So triple check to make sure you enter your mailing address correctly because it'd be a shame for your prize to get lost in the mail.

I'm pretty sure that's everything, but if I missed something you are welcome to ask in the comments. Just make sure you ask those questions in the comments section on my website and not on goodreads or any of the other places this blog feeds out to, because I won't see them if you post them anywhere else)

Okay, here's the form (and if it doesn't load for some reason, click HERE)

11. I now give you....NEVERSEEN!!!!

I can't believe we've finally reached that time again, guys. NEVERSEEN officially launches into the world today!!!!

*unleashes the confetti cannons*

I know some of you have already gotten your copies at my pre-launch events--and thank you in advance for not posting spoilers in the comments on here if that's the case. But for the rest of you, TODAY IS THE DAY where once again, Sophie's story becomes yours.

I've held onto it for all these months, refusing to answer your spoilerish questions, and now I hand it over to you--all 688 pages! (!!!!)

Launching a book is always such an indescribable process--somehow equal parts exciting and humbling and heartwarming and terrifying. And those emotions only seem to get stronger with each book I add to the series, because I know how deeply invested all of you are in the world and characters of the Lost Cities.

I've done my best to do the story justice, and I truly hope you love the book as much as I do. I hope you laugh and cry and want to throw the book across the room and then hug it and reread again. It has some moments you've been waiting for--and maybe some you were even expecting--and probably several others you never saw coming. But whether you're surprised, or thinking I KNEW IT, I hope you're just as excited by the possibilities as I am.

And yes, I know that because of [redacted for spoilers] you're all going to be EXTRA impatient for book 5--and yes, you DO have to wait another year. I wish there were a way to pour the story out of my head and onto the page. But since I'm stuck wrestling it out the old fashioned way, thank you for your patience.

And thank you for reading. And for buying my book, or requesting it at your library, or posting about it on your social media, or posting reviews on amazon and goodreads and Barnes and Noble,  All of those things are the reason this series keeps on growing. It's also why I dedicated the book to you:

I hope to meet as many of you as I can while I'm on the road. If you're in Seattle, San Jose, Tempe, or Idaho Falls, I'm coming to see you--here's where you can find me (you can also find a full list HERE):

And I still have some awesome giveaways and whatnot in the weeks ahead. (Oh, and if you took part in the pre-order swag giveaway, don't worry, your swag will be in the mail as soon as I'm home from touring!)

Okay, I think that's enough Shannon-rambling for one day--especially since you guys have a VERY THICK BOOK to read. Keep the tissues handy. And for those having to wait, here's a word cloud with the most commonly used words in the book (once you read, you'll understand why I made it shaped like a tree)

Happy reading!!!

13. The post you've been waiting for--THE NEVERSEEN PRE-ORDER GIVEAWAY!!!!!

It's here! It's here! It's finally here!!!!

THE NEVERSEEN PRE-ORDER GIVEAWAY IS HERE!!!!

Now that we're three weeks away from the launch of NEVERSEEN (*flails and hyperventilates*), it's time to make sure you guys have a chance to get some goodies! Thank you all for waiting so patiently.

(And warning: this is a long post with LOTS of important information, so make sure you read it all carefully so you don't miss your opportunity)

Some of you know how this works, but just in case you're new here, this giveaway is my way of trying to make up for the fact that it's impossible for me to tour to every city. If I could figure out a way to teleport, I'd meet each and every one of you in person. But since I can't, I like to make sure you all at least have a chance to get some of the fun things I give out at signings. So everyone who pre-orders a copy of NEVERSEEN before the cut-off date (11/2/15) AND fills out the form at the end of this post*, will get this awesome NEVERSEEN swag mailed directly to them:

In case you can't tell from the picture, you'll get:
One hand signed, limited edition "Iggy has the Blues" postcard art print
One hand signed NEVERSEEN bookplate
One Neverseen symbol sticker
One Black Swan sticker

And yes, EVERYONE who pre-orders the book and fills out the form before the cutoff date will get that!!!!!

*cue infomercial announcer voice*

But wait--there's more!

I will also choose twenty (20) of you at random and give you this: (yes, in *addition* to the other swag!)

And again, in case you can't tell, that is:
One character art postcard (which is two-sided, by the way--but I can't show you the other side yet because some of the amazing character art has yet to be revealed)
One shiny alicorn button (the same alicorn buttons I'll be giving out at my launch party)

You don't have to do anything special to enter for the extra goodies. I'll choose the winners randomly from all the people who fill out the form for their swag. So that's the only requirement: you must fill out the form at the end of this post. Which of course means you also must pre-order a copy of NEVERSEEN

And because I like to keep things simple, I'm not requiring proof of purchase. If you say you bought it, I trust you. I'm counting on you guys to be honest. But remember, lying makes Dex come up with mean pranks to play on you--meanwhile honesty makes Fitz and Keefe invite you to play base quest with them! :) I also won't be announcing the winners of the additional goodies. If you win the extra swag, you'll find out when your prize arrives in the mail.

I'm also willing to mail the prizes anywhere--even internationally. And it doesn't matter if you pre-order an eBook or a hardcover. As long as it's NEVERSEEN, it counts. And you can buy your copy anywhere books are sold. Of course I recommend shopping local from your favorite indie and supporting a local business. But it's up to you where you want to shop. (and scroll down for one more option before you make your decision)

I also know lots of you pre-ordered yours months and months ago. (which is so incredibly awesome, btw.) And if that's the case, you can definitely still fill out this form and get your free swagBut if you haven't bought it already, you must pre-order your copy before 11:59 pm (pacific time) on 11/2/15 AND fill out the form before then. After that I'll close the form and there will be no more ways to enter.

And there's no limit on how many swag packs you can get--as long as you buy the corresponding number of books. So if you buy five books, you can get five swag packs. Just make sure you tell me how many copies you bought so that I know how many swag packs to send you.

Also: since I'm leaving for tour before this contest even ends, there *will* be a delay on when your swag gets mailed to you. But I PROMISE I'll have them all in the mail before November 30th. (most likely much sooner). Sorry for the small wait, I can't mail stuff while I'm traveling.

(And by the way--if you haven't checked to see if I'm touring in your area, see my events page HERE. I hope I'll get to meet at least some of you!)

One final thing to keep in mind--since this is the point where many of you start panicking and emailing me saying BUT WHAT IF I'M NOT ONE OF THE LUCKY 20 WINNERS??????  I REALLY REALLY REALLY WANT THE SPECIAL POSTCARD AND ALICORN BUTTON!!!!!! And in the past, I haven't had much I could tell you except, "sorry, it's all up to chance." But this year, the awesome people at Changing Hands Bookstore have helped me come up with a solution.

So here's the deal: if you really really really want the extra postcard and the alicorn button (plus the other swag)--and can't make it to my launch party on 10/30 (or my Changing Hands event on 11/10)--there IS a way to guarantee you'll get them. If you buy your copy of NEVERSEEN through Changing Hands, they'll send you all the swag I've mentioned in this post, except the signed book plate, since your book will actually come hand signed by me. Changing Hands will ship anywhere--even internationally (there IS a shipping fee. You can call them for an estimate). And here's the important part--and it's a little confusing so make sure you read it carefully: If you decide to buy your copy of NEVERSEEN through Changing Hands in order to get the special goodies, you should NOT fill out the form below. Go to Changing Hands website HERE (or call them--they're super friendly) and order NEVERSEEN before 7pm (pacific time) on Tuesday, November 10th (yes, you also get a few extra days. They'll take orders until my event). And that's it. That's all you have to do. Changing Hands will take care of the rest and when your book arrives--voila! Awesome swag!  Another advantage to this: this is the only way to have your book personalized to you. I know I used to personalize all the bookplates, but that's gotten WAY too time consuming.

If you're reading this on Goodreads or any of the other places it feeds out to, make sure you go to shannonmessenger.com to ask your questions)

And .... I guess that's it. Though I do want to once again thank all of you for incredible support. It has been absolutely AMAZING watching this series grow, and it wouldn't be happening if you weren't  telling your teachers and friends, and posting your edits on instagram, and sending me your fan art, and all of the other amazing things you guys do. Keep it up--its working!

Only three weeks left until NEVERSEEN--EEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, here's the form you need to enter, and if for some reason it doesn't load, click HERE to find it)

*Please note: you must be 13 years or older to fill out this form. If you're not, please have your parent or guardian fill it out for you

14. MMGM Links (10/12/15)

Just got home 20 minutes ago after the longest travel day EVER (had SO much fun at the Bar Harbor Children's Book Festival though). So I'm putting these links together on ZERO brainpower. Sorry if they're a mess.

Oh, and keep an eye on my blog this week. I have ALL THE EXCITING NEVERSEEN THINGS HAPPENING.

ALSO, if you didn't see it on my social media a couple of days ago, there was THIS announcement:

Yes--that's right! There will be a fifth book in the KEEPER series! And here's a TINY bit about the book from Publisher's Marketplace (very, very little, since we don't want to put any NEVERSEEN spoilers in)

15. Don't miss the NEVERSEEN SoCal Launch Party!!!!

I can't believe it's that time again--NEVERSEEN comes out in less than five weeks!!!

(*tosses confetti whilst hyperventilating*)

(*chokes on confetti*)

And just like last year, I have ALL KINDS of updates coming up, including the pre-order swag giveaway and the NEVERSEEN tour dates and locations. (I'll also be sharing character art and teasers on social media, so if you aren't following me on Instagram, you might wanna click HERE and correct that)

But in the meantime, I have one thing you can mark on your calendars--the Official NEVERSEEN Lauch Party!!!!

And in case that graphic isn't loading for some reason, here the details are again in plain text:

Friday, 10/30/15
7:00 pm
Barnes &Noble Montclair Plaza
5183 Montclair Plaza Ln.
Montclair, CA 91763
909-399-1966

And yes--that date is correct. Thanks to when I leave for tour, the Launch party is FIVE DAYS before NEVERSEEN comes out. So that means--if you come--you can buy your copy FIVE DAYS early!!!!!

As if that weren't incredible enough, let me give you another AMAZING reason to be there: Everyone who comes to the official launch--and buys a copy of NEVERSEEN--will be given one of these SUPER SHINY alicorn buttons (perfect for fastening your cape--or, yanno, decorating whatever you want):

For those who don't live in SoCal, I *will* be handing out (or raffling off) a few of these buttons at each of my tour stops. Plus there will be online giveaways to give everyone a chance to enter for one.  And they'll be given out at the Launch on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last. So if you're worried about getting one, better get there early. :)

There will also be some very special CUPCAKES!! (*whispers* they might be mallowmelt flavored) And SWAG. And BOOKS!!! Shiny EARLY copies of NEVERSEEN!!!! And I'll be signing ALL of them!!!!! Who doesn't want to be a part of that?????

So mark your calendars for 10/30/15, and start begging your parents to bring you. It's going to be EPIC!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask away in the comments section below.

And ....  that's it for now. But like I said--stay tuned. Soooooooooooooooooo many more exciting things are coming up over the next few weeks.

*tosses more confetti and gets back to writing*

17. The EVERBLAZE paperback release giveaway!

They're here! They're here!

THE SHINY EVERBLAZE PAPERBACKS ARE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I know a lot of you already bought the shiny hardcovers. (if you did--THANK YOU SO MUCH! *tacklehugs*)

But I still get crazy excited when my books finally release in paperback, because they're so much more affordable, and I know for so many families (including mine, when I was a kid) that makes a HUGE difference. I've heard from so many readers who've been waiting for the paperback before they can read (it's why I try to be so vigilant about spoilers) so I'm super excited they'll finally be able to.

Plus, even if you DO own a hardcover--there's something extra special in the paperbacks you might be excited to see:

Why yes, yes that IS the first chapter of NEVERSEEN!!!!

So I think this calls for a giveaway. After all, the hardcover readers shouldn't be the only ones who get some fun extra goodies.  So here's how this works:

If you pre-ordered the paperback version of EVERBLAZE any time before August 4, 2015--OR if you purchase a paperback copy between now and August 11, 2015--fill out the form at the bottom of this post by 11:59pm pacific time on August 11, 2015, and I will send you these:

(in case you can't tell, that's a signed bookplate and a character art print postcard--which has all four covers on the back)

In addition to that, five random winners will also get one of these exclusive Black Swan mirrors:

If you buy more than one copy of the paperback, you can definitely get more than one set of swag. Just make sure you fill out the form separately for each copy, so I know how many to send you.

And please note, this giveaway is only available for people who buy the paperback during the designated time period. (If you've bought the hardcover or ebook, I've already done giveaways for those--sorry if you missed them!) Also: no proof of purchase is required. I like to keep my contests on the honor system, so if you say you bought it, I trust you. But remember: every time you lie, Iggy has to miss a meal, and do you really want an angry imp coming after you????

International entries also totally count. I will mail swag anywhere you live. But this is only for a very limited time, so don't miss your chance.  And don't forget to fill out the form* (you must fill out the form in order to get your swag).

And... I think that pretty much covers everything. But if I missed something, ask in the comments. Otherwise here's the form you need to fill out: (and if you can't access the form for some reason, you can find it HERE).

Ready?

....

Go!

*You must be 13 or older in order to fill out this form. If you're not, please have your parent or guardian fill it out for you.

18. KOTLC Fandom Day (psst--there's a giveaway)

Hey guys!

Just wanted to give a quick heads up to let you know about something fun happening on Instagram today.

Some of the awesome KEEPER fans over there declared today KOTLC Fandom Day and are encouraging everyone to write their team  name on their hand and post a pic. And I thought--wow, what a fun idea. (also I HAVE THE BEST FANS EVER). So I decided to sweeten the deal and add a giveaway.

You can only enter on Instagram (sorry if you're not on that platform--that's where the fun started, so I had to keep it there because I'll be drawing the winners from the hashtag). But you can definitely enter through a parents' account (or sibling or friend) if you don't have your own.

Here's a handy graphic I posted so you know how this works:

And here's the rules I posted with it:

WOO--as declared by @lostkeeper, today is KOTLC Day!! So I thought I'd reward anyone who participates with a GIVEAWAY.
Up for grabs are 3 doodled on hardcovers of KEEPER book 1, which will go to 3 random winners.
To enter:
Write your Team Name on your hand (can be any team you want, so long as it has to do with the KEEPER series)
Post a pic of your doodled-on hand on Instagram by 11:59pm ET on 2/12/15--and MAKE SURE you use the hashtag: #KOTLCFANDOMDAY
The three winners will be tagged on THIS PHOTO to let them know they've won.
As for questions you probably have:  Only one entry per person. You can only enter on Instagram. Contest is only for today (2/12/15). International entries welcome.

So if you're on Instagram, head over there for all the fun. And if you're not, never fear, I'll have other giveaways over the next few months.

Happy KOTLC Fandom Day everyone! (Have I mentioned my fans are THE BEST???)

TEAM KEEPER GROUP HUG!

19. The NEVERSEEN Cover is....well....SEEN!

I know you're going to scroll right past this to get to the gorgeousness--and I can't say I blame you

(In fact, I'm always tempted to put a big spoiler in the text before the cover reveal since no one ever reads it--but I shall refrain!).

So here you go--without further ado. The cover you've been begging me to see....

....

....

....

VIOLA!

You have no idea how many hours I have spent staring at that stunningness!!!! I mean...

The colors!
The outfits!
The expressions!
Just...EVERYTHING!!!
I can't even....
IT IS TOO AWESOME--I LOVE IT TOO MUCH!!!!

And yeah, I'm sure you now have ALL THE QUESTIONS. Most of which I probably can't answer. But here's what I CAN say:

~ That is Sophie, Keefe, and Biana on the cover
(YES--WE FINALLY GET TO SEE BIANA--DOESN'T SHE LOOK BEAUTIFUL???)

~ No, Fitz and Dex aren't on the cover, but YES they are in the book just as much.

~ Yes, that IS Biana's hand grabbing Keefe's arm. And no, I have no comment on that.
(Though I'm sure the fandom will have LOTS of thoughts...)

~ Yes, they all look worried--and rightfully so. A humongous wave is crashing over them!

And...that's it. I can't tell you what the scene is, or where they are, or at what point that scene happens in the story. For that, you'll have to wait for the book

So I know the next logical question is; when does the book come out?!?!?!?

And the only answer I can give is: Fall 2015. It'll probably be November like EVERBLAZE, but release dates change all the time, so I won't have an exact date to give you until we're closer to that season. Plus, yanno, I'm still writing the book, so there's that. Realllllllllllllllllllllly need to finish...

So how about I go back to writing and you guys go back to staring at the gloriousness and we'll see how long it takes before the first fan art from the new cover pops up on the Internetz?

*scrolls up to ogle the shiny one more time*

*gets back to writing*

20. Keeper #4 Title: REVEALED!!!!!

I KNOW you guys are just going to skip right past this part to get to the shiny title. So all I'm going to say is: Are you ready for this????????

....

....

....

....

TA DA!!!

In case that graphic isn't loading, the title of book 4 is: NEVERSEEN!!!

Say it with me: Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

It  *probably* won't mean as much to you if you haven't read EVERBLAZE yet. But once you read it you'll totally get it.

And since I know you probably have some questions now, let me pre-empt them:

  • I don't have the exact release date (if you see any listed online just know that it's only a placeholder date and may very well change).
  • I also don't have a plot description to share (mostly because I'm still writing the book...)
  • I can't show you the cover yet--BUT I WILL BE ABLE TO SOON. Like, think weeks, not months. Probably by the end of Jan. I'm not 100% sure on the exact date yet, so make sure you check back often. And I feel absolutely confident when I say: you guys are gonna LOVE it.

And...that's all for now. Back to writing NEVERSEEN! (And WOO HOO--I DON'T HAVE TO REMEMBER NOT TO SAY THE TITLE ANYMORE!!! Keeping secrets from you guys is so hard!)

21. The EVERBLAZE Superfan Giveaway!!!

IT'S HERE, IT'S HERE--the giveaway you've alllllllllllllllllll been asking me for. The time I give away THESE:

In case you can't tell, those are six (yes, SIX) signed hardcovers of EVERBLAZE, all featuring original black swan drawings done by me. Which means there will be SIX winners who will get one, (and yes the books can be signed and personalized if you would like)

Since these are very special, very time consuming prizes for me to make, I want to make sure they go to true fans of the series. So like I've done in the past, I'm going to make you guys put in a *little* extra work to enter--but I've still done my best to also keep it as simple as possible. AND, the advantage to this is, if you really really really want one, there are a lot of ways for you to get a TON of entries and increase your chances of winning.

So here's how this works.

To enter, you MUST complete these two simple steps.

STEP NUMBER ONE:

You must either:

  • Post a review of EVERBLAZE on amazon / goodreads / B&N / youtube / your blog or website / ANYWHERE ELSE YOU POST YOUR REVIEWS. And no, this doesn't mean you have to write a glowing, five star review (though of course you are WELCOME to). All that matters is an honest review.
  • Tweet / Instagram / FB / tumblr / pinterest / google+ / or ANY OTHER WAY YOU ATTACK THE INTERNETS with a photo of EVERBLAZE somewhere in the wild (could be your own personal copy in your hands at home, or a shiny copy on display in a store or library--doesn't matter to me.
But if you want it to count for the contest you'll need to do something new during the contest time period (December 3-14, 2014).

*feel free to tag me in any of these things, to make doubly sure I see them.

Form must be filled out by 11:59 pm pacific on Sunday, December 14, 2014

Step two is an absolutely essential step, because it's the only way I will see your entry. So don't forget to fill out the form. And International entries ARE accepted.

Winners won't be posted anywhere, nor will they be contacted prior to mailing. You'll know you're a winner when your prize shows up. So triple check to make sure you enter your mailing address correctly because it'd be a shame for your prize to get lost in the mail.

I'm pretty sure that's everything, but if I missed something you are welcome to ask in the comments.

Annnnnnnnnnnnnd--here's the form. (if it doesn't load for some reason, go HERE)

22. Annual Black Swagday Giveaway

Wow, I can't believe we're already to Black Friday weekend--seriously where has the year gone??????

But deadline panicking aside (MEEP!), it's also time for my annual Black Swagday Giveaway!!!

Since this is the time of year where everyone has gifts on their minds--and I personally feel that signed books are THE BEST gifts anyone can give--I have a nice handy way for you guys to make your gifts even more special.

If you buy any of my books (Keeper of the Lost Cities, Exile, Everblaze, Let the Sky Fall, and/or Let the Storm Break) this weekend--which just so happens to be the biggest shopping weekend of the year, between Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday--and fill out the form at the end of this post, I will send you the corresponding swag pack below.

If you buy any of the KEEPER books, I'll send you this (for each book purchased):

And in case you can't tell, that's:
- a signed (and personalized) bookplate
- 4 Team Stickers
- 1 5x7 character art print (featuring the awesome illustrations by Courtney Godbey)
(*whispers* if you buy more than one KEEPER book, I *might* throw in some other goodies as well... #justsayin')

And if you buy either of the SKY FALL books, I'll send you the corresponding swag you see in this pic (for each book purchased):
So if you buy Let the Sky Fall you'll get:
- a LTSF signed (and personalized) bookplate
- a LTSF bookmark
- a LTSF sticker

And if you buy Let the Storm Break you'll get:
- a LTSB signed (and personalized) bookplate
- a LTSB bookmark
- a LTSB sticker

All of this swag is exclusive--only available here--and hand signed by me!

And there's no limit on how many I'll give away. Everyone who fills out the form between now and 11:59 pm pacific time on Monday, December 1, 2014 WILL get the swag. I'm also not requiring proof of purchase. If you say you bought it, I believe you. But remember, every time you lie, an alicorn's poop stops sparking AND WHAT WOULD THE WORLD BE WITHOUT SPARKLY POOP??????

It also doesn't matter where you buy the book (though supporting your Local Indie Bookstore guarantees you a life of sunshine and happiness) or if you buy the paperback or the hardcover (ebooks and audiobooks count too!). And you're welcome to buy as many books as you want! (Just make sure you fill out the form separately for each book, so I know to send you more prizes).

Giveaway is also open internationally!!!

**Please note** This giveaway ONLY applies to books purchased between 11/26/14-12/1/14, and does NOT include books previously purchased. Of course I super-appreciate if you've bought my books before now, but I've also done previous giveaways for many of those purchases that you would've had a chance to take part of (sorry if you missed them). So this is only for new purchases, and if you are desperate for the swag you could always buy a book to give as a gift (what better gift could there be, really? Plus then you can get your friends/family/teachers hooked on the books so you have someone to talk about them with) and keep the swag for yourself--I won't tell! :)

Um... I *think* that covers everything--but if I missed something, of course feel free to ask any questions you may have in the comments.

Here's the form you'll need to fill out (and if it doesn't load for some reason, go HERE)

23. Team KEEPER Reboot!

★ ★  ★ ★  ★ ★  ★ ★  ★ ★  ★ ★  ★ ★  ★ ★  ★ ★  ★ ★  ★ ★ ★ ★

I know a lot of you still use the Team KEEPER Continued page, and the Team Keeper Continues Again page--and that's totally fine! Those pages still exist--and you can still comment on them as much as you'd like!

But I know there are a LOT of comments to wade through on there, so since we have a new book out in the world (WOO--EVERBLAZE!!!) I thought it might be a good time to give you guys a fresh new place for discussions. And while I was at it, I added a few new fun things, like some additional character art, two new teams, and the EVERBLAZE playlist!

Scroll down for all the fun. And remember, you're welcome to comment as much as you'd like. There are only two rules for your comments:

  1. Be nice, kind, and positive
  2. Please avoid including spoilers

And now--THE NEW TEAMS. And yes, for many of you, your team choices are all about the shipping--which is *always* an awesome reason (we're huge fans of watching the Team Fitz, Team Dex, and Team Keefe debates around here!!!). But that's not the *only* reason you can choose a team.

Teams can also be picked for your favorite characters and creatures, or because of who you are and what you relate to. Basically, there's no wrong reason for choosing a team. And if you're having trouble deciding, here's a few facts that might help you make up your mind:

Ever feel like you don't belong? Then you look no further--you belong with Team Sophie! You may not always have the answers, but you're brave and smart, and if you trust yourself, you can handle anything. And as for who holds your heart? Only time will tell how you decide . . .

Ever feel like the underdog? Then welcome to Team Dex! You may have people constantly underestimating you, but you'll prove them all wrong someday. And while you may be the ultimate BFF, you're hoping to break out of the "friend zone" eventually. (you might have pretty great dimples, too . . . )

Ever caused a mess of trouble--and loved every second of it? Then you definitely belong with Team Keefe!  Jokes and pranks are the highlight of your week--but that doesn't mean you can't be serious when you need to be. In fact, you care very deeply about . . . well, maybe you're not ready to admit *who* yet. But you're having fun driving the girls crazy in the meantime!

Ever feel pressure to be who everyone expects you to be? Then Team Fitz is the place for you ! You have the looks, the talent, and the family everybody envies--but that doesn't mean you do everything perfectly. And sometimes you can be a little oblivious when it comes to other people's feelings. But you'll hopefully figure it all out--eventually. . .

Ever made a mistake and had to work to set it right? Team Biana knows how you feel! You may sometimes say or do the wrong thing, but it's only because you're fiercely protective of the ones you care about. And once you make a true friend, you're friends for life. You're also the best person to ask when it comes to style--but there's so much more to you than you're stunning looks. You're brave, smart, and incredibly talented. And the world hasn't seen anything yet!

Ever feel like no one understands you? Then find lots of people you can relate to on Team Iggy! You may be small and good at making a mess of things--but you always know when someone needs you. And you're happy to provide them with a cuddle, a purr, or a nose-full of toxic breath--whatever they need. And hey, you can rock every crazy fur color there is!

Ever feel like you're all alone? Then you'll find lots of friends with Team Silveny--plus more sparkles than anyone could ever need! You're special and one-of-a-kind and extremely loyal and caring. And no one can deny you have great taste in friends--even if they give you the craziest nicknames.

Ever found that doing the wrong thing can sometimes be right? Then you belong with Team Black Swan! Some may think of you as a rebel, but really you're just seeing the world differently. And you're not afraid to bend or break a few rules--so long as it's to help others.

Got your team?
Then grab your avatar:

24. Welcome to the world, EVERBLAZE!!!

I can't believe it's finally here--EVERBLAZE's launch date!! The day I hand my beautiful book baby over to you guys...

...and hope you love it as much as I do. And I cannot thank you enough for all your excitement and support leading up to this day!

((Team KEEPER Group Hug))

I can't wait for you to see where Sophie's journey takes her. And I hope you laugh and cry and stay up too late, and come up with all kinds of crazy theories about what will happen next, because that means I did my job right.

I know many of you will read quick (in fact, some of you got your copies a couple of days early and already finished--which is extra amazing since this book is more than 600 pages long). And I KNOW that means you're going to immediately want book 4, and obviously you'll have to wait a bit (or, um... a year. *cue all the wailing*). But I promise book 4 will be worth it--I'm hard at work making it the best it can be. And in the meantime, you have EVERBLAZE to read again! (after all, it's a 600 page book, surely you missed a few details!) :)

If you've been following me here for a while, you know that I usually run a contest around launch time--and I swear, that contest IS coming. But not until I'm home from tour. So keep an eye out for that in a few weeks. And if you're in Colorado, Utah, Texas, or Arizona, I hope you'll come see me at my events! Here's where I'll be (or if that doesn't load, check my EVENTS PAGE):

I also have lots more fun extras and whatnot to share in the weeks and months ahead. Book 4 may be a year away, but there are LOTS of things to reveal in the meantime. So stick around and stay tuned. And in the meantime, to show you how much I <3 book:="" cloud="" commonly="" everblaze="" i="" in="" made="" most="" of="" p="" some="" the="" this="" used="" with="" word="" words="" you="">

There's been a LOT going on around here, thanks to how close we're getting to the launch of EVERBLAZE. (Less than two weeks--AHHHHHHHH!) So in case you missed anything, I thought I'd put it all in one place, to make it nice and handy.

And I know this is the point where those of you who do not live in any of these areas pout because I'm not coming to see you. Believe me, I'm sad too. I wish it were possible to go everywhere. But since it's not, I've got a couple of other options for how you can get signed books and some of the awesome tour goodies I'll be giving away:

  • If you want a hand-signed copy of EVERBLAZE and the swag I'll be giving out on tour (except the mirrors--those are only for the launch party), you can order a copy from the stores I'll be visiting and have them ship it to you. Independent booksellers tend to be the best organized for this, so I'd recommend either The King's English, Blue Willow, or Changing Hands. Shipping and availability may vary, so you'll want to be sure to ask. Phone numbers for all of the stores are listed above.
  • If you pre-order a copy of EVERBLAZE before 11/3/14, you can fill out the form on this blog for the Pre-Order Swag giveaway and as soon as I get home from tour, I will send you awesome signed swag. You'll get the Iggy postcard art print, a Keeper series bookmark, and a signed bookplate to stick in your copy and turn it into a signed hardcover (or put anywhere you'd like if you order the ebook.) Plus you'll have a chance to win some extra goodies (including a few of the exclusive launch party mirrors). And this offer is even open internationally--but is only for a limited time. Full details on how it works--and the form you'll need to fill out--can be found HERE

And in non-event related news: the KEEPER website has been totally redesigned, and it has some incredible new goodies I think you're going to LOVE!!! Go HERE to check it out, and be sure to keep an eye out for:

  • Sophie's Foxfire schedules
  • Foxfire Academy information
  • All the details you'll need to create your own Foxfire schedule
  • Awesome new character art
  • A quiz to discover your ability
  • A recipe for Mallowmelt
  • Plus an excerpt from EVERBLAZE--which includes the first TWO chapters (so yes, if you've read chapter one in the EXILE paperback, another chapter has been revealed!!!) Get thee there quickly for another early sneak peek!

Phew--I think that's everything!!! But as always, keep an eye on this blog, and my other social media because there's a good chance I'll have more updates in the days to come. I hope I get to meet some of you on tour, and that the rest of you sign up to get your swaggish goodies. And thank you all for the excitement and support--THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER!!!!
