This picture reminds me of Valentines Day in Elementary school- I remember decorating valentine envelopes the day before the holiday, and hanging them on the wall for our fellow students to drop their valentine cards in the next day.
Our teachers planned on every student getting a card, in fact, they told us to tell our mothers how many children were in the classroom, just to be sure everyone would have enough cards...
Except, our teachers and parents were in denial about one thing - some students get more cards than others anyway - it's sort of like picking sides for a team.
I couldn't wait to get home and see which boys gave me which card and what the card would say, and I remember not getting as many cards some years as I did others...and I recall a few children getting just a few valentines.
And those poor kids going to the teacher and literally showing them their bag with two or three cards in it, when 32 kids were in the classroom. Then the teacher would make the "put a card in every envelope" announcement with his or her arm around a pensive faced little child.
In my classrooms this was the same scenario every year... Anyway, I hope times have changed and everyone gets a valentine this year- and no one is clobbered before the days is over.
Happy Valentines Day!

After a longer pause I'm finally back again and wishing you all a Happy and Creative New Year! This is my submission for 'snowballs'. It was so much fun doing this and the perfect topic for the wheather outside. Because it's a Winter Wonderland in Cologne and I can't remember, whether it ever snowed already so much.

When I was a child I wanted to do ballet, but because of my height I was recommended to better do athletic sports. *umpf
Maybe thats why the little girl looks a bit concerned if she's doing right.
@ all Have a great week! ;)

This fantasy adventure tale has a heroine, a journey, a good vs. evil battle, and heart throbbing romance. Ultimately, though, it is a story of self-discovery, and dare I say it, identity.

I LOVE IT!! What a lively, and fun illustration! That poor guy in the middle really got it good, didn't he? heh heh! Nicely done!
yeah, this was MY special snowball for him. ;)
Oh, it's fun to see Lino playing in the snow! He's one of my favorite characters! :-)
Happy New Year to you too!
he he he he he. Some one had to get it. This is just plain fun! Great action and motion.
I can fell all the movement, great illustration!
Great action... especially that puppy taking one for the team! The added detail of his nose peaking through the smooshed snowball is fantastic.
great action & interaction! cute characters too!
