It is probably because when I was a young beginner, trying to write about literature, I did not feel encouraged or appreciated. It's hard to believe that Baseball in April was published "within the last several years." I'm happy it's on the list, because I like it, but where is Some of the Kinder Planets by Wynne-Jones, and Badger on the Barge by Howker? Maybe I am misremembering pub dates, but I think they are of the same age.
MY FAVORITES, how could you have left them off your list?
