On my Blog I show news from my work as a children's book illustrator and other things that could be still interesting.
1. Georg von Rosen - Karneval

Eine wunderbare Arbeit (sign. und dat. 1864, Aquarell und Deckfarben, 29,5 x 17 cm) von Johan Georg Otto von Rosen.
Er studierte 1857 bis 1861 an der Kunstakademie in Stockholm und lernte 1864, bei der Weltausstellung in London die historischen Malereien des Belgiers Hendrik Leys kennen, die ihn prägend beeinflussten. Später war er auch noch in München bei Karl Piloty und in Italien. 1872/74 wurde er Mitglied/Professor der Kunstakademie in Stockholm und 1881 - 1887 deren Direktor.
