Sequestration: the action of taking possession of assets until a debt has been paid,or other action taken.
Synonym: seizure.
That is one definition of the word that we hear fifty times a day now in reference to cutting some fat off the huge national budget. Seems a bit radical a term for budget trimming, but there are many other big words out there ending in 'ion' and I've listed a very few below. I don't know about the rest of you, but I get a bit weary from all the fighting and bickering on Capitol Hill. Then I remember that I'm just a Tweety Bird and that the Cat is always out there and I laugh! So true! The Cat is a challenge to all of us, whatever form it takes each day. Like Tweety, sometimes the Cat wins........but other times we win. Hope you'll enjoy the Tweety/Sylvester cartoon!
