5. Zumba Dance to Weight Loss

Zumba’s wellness and exercise fad is practically brand new and it is now taking Australia by storm . This Zumba dance workout was introduced by Alberto "Beto" Perez, a renowned dancer and choreographer of Shakira, back in the 90's , he has accidentally uncovered that Latin-inspired dance can actually go with any live tempo music .

Beto's unearthing of Zumba was strictly unintentional when Beto has actually forgotten to bring the music for the aerobics class he was teaching . Nevertheless , “the show must go on” and he used the tapes that were inside his bag during the time , which were Latin salsa and merengue music.

He purely improvised the exercise routines that would go with the Latin salsa and merengue music he has in his bag and the people in the aerobics class joined the fun and lively brand new exercise routine Beto improvised . Soon enough, Beto’s new Zumba class became the most sought after Latin-inspired exercise in the gym he was employed at. And the rest was history.

Today, hundreds and thousands of fitness centers have embraced this sassy and smart dance-infused routine. With thousands of licensed Zumba instructors , Zumba Fitness Brisbane became one of the hotspots for the fun and witty routine .

The Zumba dance Brisbane syllabus envelopes Latin sexy moves from various music and dance genre – from Cumbia, Salsa, Merengue, Mambo, Flamenco, Chachacha, Reggaeton, Samba, Belly dancing, Bhangra, Hip Hop and Tango. The whole body dance workout allows you to dance off the inches off your stubborn body fat areas as well as tone and strengthen your muscles and core.

Brisbane Zumba also features intervals in various training schedules as well as incorporate both fast and slow rhythm music to maximize cutting of fat while toning and sculpting the entire body. Zumba isn't limited for those who can dance because everyone can do it . The only requirement if you’d like to try out Zumba is that you are willing to lose weight and tone your whole body, all this while keeping the workout fun and upbeat. Now who can ever resist that? I surely cannot!

Well, I talked to some of the regular Zumba classes Brisbane workout attendees and I found out that most of them do not actually have the talent for dancing. But with regular classes seriously taken, they gained some groovy moves and sensational dance routines that they wanted to show me. My jaw just dropped and I couldn’t believe what I saw.

I have two left feet and I surely can’t carry a dance routine without messing it up but with what I’ve witnessed, I think I’m going to give Zumba dance Brisbane a try. Who knows? Maybe what I need is a bit of practice myself and in time, I will be able to dance as gracefully as others and I won’t have to deal with becoming a wallflower when my friends and I go clubbing next.

6. Movie Review: "Fast & Furious 6"

Rating: PG-13

Length: 130 minutes

Release Date: May 24, 2013

Directed by: Justin Lin

Genre: Action/Crime/Thriller

Stars: 3.5 out of 5

The "Fast & Furious" franchise has always been kind enough to its audience to keep things simple, without a bunch of metaphor or undue complexity. The makers of these films seem to be fully aware the viewing public doesn't sit down in the proverbial air-conditioned theater for a summer action thriller and expect to see a thought-provoking meditation on the transient nature of joy, starring Meryl Streep. No, the "Fast & Furious 6" audience has a certain picture in mind before buying the ticket, and director Justin Lin does what he can to live up to it.

It certainly can't be said that "Fast & Furious 6" lets down the fans of the franchise. Indeed, this installment brings the story arc of the last five movies around to something resembling closure. Having secured $100 million and toppled a criminal empire, Dom (Vin Diesel) and his crew are living in exile abroad. Unfortunately, yet another criminal enterprise-this one specializing in highly skilled mercenary stunt drivers-threatens everything. Only by reuniting the old gang and setting ablaze the macadam roads of London can the crew defeat the menace and secure the pardons they'll need to settle down at last.

It must be said that in a movie like "Fast & Furious 6," the plot is largely incidental. This isn't a taut political thriller that hinges on subtle character interplay, this is a smash-'em-up action flick about crashing ridiculously expensive cars in front of the world's most famous landmarks. That having been said, even a thriller needs some elements to come off well, lest it lose the magic that's been drawing fans for the last five installments.

The first of these elements is obviously the cast. The gang's all here for "Fast & Furious 6." Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, and even Michelle Rodriguez, who has long been thought dead, have come back together to restore their special onscreen chemistry. Fans love this, and far be it from a "Fast & Furious" movie to balk at the will of its audience. Ludacris also appears in the movie, playing Tej with his customary aplomb. One thing to note is his title in the credits. He appears as "Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges." It's possible that by reaching out a bit to include his full name, the rapper-turned-actor is beginning the transition from his stage persona to a more personal and less affected personality as, simply, actor Chris Bridges. This bears watching, as Bridges has a future ahead of him in acting, should he so choose.

Beyond the plot and the cast lies that nebulous cloud of factors known collectively as production values. "Fast & Furious 6" continues in the tradition of its predecessor movies by sparing no expense here. The films have always had a mostly visual impact, which is why exquisite attention to detail has always been paid to the lighting, production design, and art direction. These elements are mostly hidden as far as the audience is concerned, but it's certain the viewers will notice if something just "isn't right" with the look and feel of the film, even if they can't quite put a finger on what might be amiss.

"Fast & Furious 6" hits all the right notes for production values, and even more of those proverbial right notes for its excellent editing. It's easy to underrate editing as a factor in filmmaking, but there's a reason it has its own Academy Award. Any film can suffer or thrive by the efforts of its editing crew, and for an action movie that hinges on spectacular car crashes and extremely fast-paced action scenes, this is even more the case. Without skillful jump cuts and generally attentive splicing, a movie intended to keep a viewer clinging to the edge of a theater seat becomes, instead, just a movie about stunt drivers going around corners a little too quickly. Indeed, in a film with so many car chases, editing might actually be one of the more important jobs, given the difficulty most movies have with spatial awareness and keeping audience members feeling they know what's going on with every character during a complicated action sequence.

While "Fast & Furious 6" isn't-nor was it ever intended to be-slow, ponderous, or thinky, between the veteran cast and dedicated direction, backed up by all the skill that can be bought or borrowed in Hollywood, the movie clearly lives up to its fans' expectations and delivers a, well, fast and furious thrill ride.

7. Wrist Watches For Men : An Underrated Gift Idea

In men's gift ideas, men's watches have fallen further down the wish list in the past few years, thanks to smartphones, MP3 players and the myriad other technologies that hold consumer attention – and often tell the time as well. However, this very fact makes them a unique gift for men, and mens' watches apply technologies in unique ways.

Let's take a look at some examples.

Men's watches by Citizen have always been a men's fashion statement. They're also smart technology. The latest example for this is the Citizen Eco Drive. This superb watch shows how the company remains ahead of the competition. This watch never needs a battery change, making it ecologically friendly as well as geeky, as it draws energy from any light source. The promo for this watch calls it unstoppable, using NFL star Eli Manning as its spokesman.

Nike's men's watch called the Oregon Series Lance Armstrong 4 features a sleek design and a suite of geeky, gadgety features. Included in this watch, you'll find a digital compass with constant readout, an altimeter that tells height above sea level and a barometer to tell your man the impending weather. And unlike most smartphones, this all comes in a waterproof casing. Another Nike tech watch is the Nike Vapor 300 which features the world's largest wrist-bound curved LCD screen. What's so great about that? Like many of the watches discussed here, this watch presents a simultaneous statement of style and tech-savviness. Like the ads for this watch say, this is the age of pocket-sitting clocks on mobile phones; it's time for a rebirth of wrist timepiece fashion. Design geeks loved this watch when it first arrived in 2008 and it remains a marvel of style and class today. You can find it online new or used. No one has to know you bought it used because it still looks amazing and unique. Uniquely designed and conceived watches like the Nike Vapor 300 make great conversation starters for any reason, under any circumstance.

Tag Heuer is one of the premium brands in men's watches and, of course, they offer superb craftsmanship in a techie watch. Take the Carrera, for example, featuring an automatic chronograph. The bezel features an integrated tachymeter scale. What's a tachymeter scale you ask? It measures and coverts time intervals to speed, so you can tell how fast you are going to get somewhere based on how long it has taken you to get where you are. Trust us, it's cool, kind of geeky yet undeniably masculine and stylish, and even useful. This watch regularly retails for $5000 or more but it can be found for cheaper online.

The Bertolucci men's watch provides affordable style. It's not necessarily techie but it's an elegant watch that can be found for some very reasonable prices. It's a watch that tells your man, "I definitely care about you."

Whether a watch provides unique techie, geeky functions or not, men's watches provide a unique alternative to just another smartphone, MP3 player or cell phone.

10. Movie Review: "Iron Man 3"

Rating: PG-13 (intense sci-fi action and violence throughout, brief suggestive content)

Length: 130 minutes

Release Date: May 3, 2013

Directed by: Shane Black

Genre: Action/Adventure/Sci-Fi

Stars: 4 out of 5

When the superheroes of "The Avengers" finally saved the world from Loki and his army, they all split up and went their separate ways. "Iron Man 3" (read more about the characters here) picks up after the battle in New York City, with Tony Stark (Robert Downy, Jr.) back in his hilltop mansion, tinkering with his Iron Man suit. On the surface, things might seem fine to some, but Stark is definitely not fine. He has long, frequent lapses in concentration that are driving his girlfriend and business partner Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) crazy. He is clearly traumatized by what happened, but he has no real outlet to try and get it all out.

Unfortunately, he won't have time to really recover because forces are already in place to make his life miserable. The Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) has plotted to kidnap and murder the President (William Sadler) among other nefarious plans. Meanwhile, Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce), who works for offshoot AIM, plans to use a new program he helped develop called Extremis to heal amputees. The only problem is that if the patient's body rejects the Extremis treatments, they end up exploding as a human firebomb. Killian doesn't seem to care about the deaths, instead forging ahead with plans to use Extremis in a way that could threaten a lot more than just a few unwitting test subjects.

When Tony publically takes a stand against the Mandarin and calls him out, his mansion gets destroyed and he nearly drowns in the ocean. Taking advantage of his presumed-dead status, he lays low in a rural Tennessee town to get his bearings. What follows is a series of rescue missions that are a complete thrill to watch.

"Iron Man 3" is the first film in what Marvel Studios calls Phase Two of its movie plan. It sets up this phase quite nicely by giving an honest look at how being a superhero charged with saving the world can really take a mental and emotional toll on someone. It is an unflinching look at the humanity of Tony Stark when he is outside of his suit, and it is a great way to reintroduce him as a solo character. Though Stark was given plenty of screen time in "The Avengers," it is nice to see him as the center of attention again, especially when he begins to get his mojo back and changes from Tony Stark to Tony Snark. The jokes and quips that fans have come to know are back, and so is Iron Man in all his glory.

The script, cowritten by director Shane Black and Drew Pearce really breaks Stark down to his lowest point in the series, only to build him back up, better and wiser than before. It is not unlike what "Skyfall" did with the James Bond character, similarly sinking Bond to his lowest level so that he could rise to the occasion, better than ever. Stark will need the extra oomph, because he has to pull off a series of amazing rescues, each one more daring and thrilling than the last. The fact that a pre-Avengers version of Iron Man might not have been able to pull off these feats shows just how much attention has been paid to character development in the series. Since the original "Iron Man," Stark has gone from an overgrown child with too much power and money on his hands to become a real hero who respects those around him, even if he does crack one-liners at their expense.

When Downey, Jr. signed on to do the first "Iron Man," he also agreed to appear in several more films, including sequels and the eventual Avengers project. With "Iron Man 3," he has officially completed his contractual obligation, meaning that there is a possibility that this may be the last time audiences see him suit up. Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has said that he is confident the studio can sign him to another contract to continue on as Iron Man into the future. "The Avengers" scribe Joss Whedon, who is currently penning the sequel, has said that he is writing the script with Tony Stark in it. With the actor keeping mum about his future plans regarding the franchise, if "Iron Man 3" is the last time Stark and Iron Man are on the big screen, then it is a great way to go out.

11. Ten Likely Blockbusters Slated For Summer 2013 Releases

As schools let out and temperatures rise, families and friends make plans to hit the cool, dark interiors of local movie theaters. Summer is the time when studios put it all on the line, casting nets of high-budget cinema in the hopes of drawing blockbuster crowds. Starting in early May, a number of anticipated films will make first-weekend runs, and there's a little something for every viewer's pleasure. The summer of 2013 is likely to be the summer of the superhero, the antihero, and the villain, with a few bits of extreme comedy, car racing, and apocalypse thrown in to keep things interesting.

Three of the movies slated to appear between May and August feature favorite characters from comic books who are no strangers to the big screen. First up is "Iron Man 3," which hit theaters May 3. After three movies, the charmingly cocky Tony Stark is on top of the world. He's even added a bit of depth to his character and won his dream girl; when epic comic-book villain the Mandarin makes an appearance, Stark's world is torn apart in a few minutes of screen time. Viewers are likely to flock to theaters in the presummer season to find out if Iron Man can rise from the metallic shreds and put right all the wrong the Mandarin is doing in the world.

How can writers make the gruff, well-explored character of Wolverine interesting to viewers for yet another X-Men inspired flick? The answer provided by "The Wolverine," which hits theaters on July 26, is to send him to Japan. As Hugh Jackman's portrayal of Wolverine has been a fan favorite since his first appearance, huge crowds are expected for this film. The Wolverine doesn't have a monopoly on fan love, though. Superman will make an appearance in "Man of Steel" on June 14. Although the superhero is always a crowd pleaser, this version of Superman is likely to be bolstered by Henry Cavill; women everywhere are already planning to see the movie based on the sexy Brit's role as Clark Kent/Superman.

Heroes don't always come from comic books, however, and "Star Trek Into Darkness" will be bringing back favorites like Kirk and Spock on May 17. Much of the buzz around this film is related to Benedict Cumberbatch's role as the villain. Fans of BBC's "Sherlock" are keeping their fingers crossed, while Trekkies everywhere are ready to line up for tickets regardless of casting.

The summer season is known for delivering family-friendly fare, and one heroic movie that will work for the whole family is "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters." Fans of the series of books by Rick Riordan will be delighted to see the young demigod back in action, and adults will be happy to take the family to a flick that doesn't involve constant booger jokes and high-pitched voices. The movie is scheduled for an early August release.

Not all summer movies are family friendly, a fact that is amply illustrated by "The Hangover: Part III," which hits theaters May 24. Viewers can expect more raunchy fun and over-the-top humor as the infamous group of not-quite-adult males takes a road trip. Viewers who are looking for a different type of summer fun might be more interested in "Fast and Furious 6," which will be released on the same day. The cast includes numerous fan favorites, including Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, and Paul Walker; the all-star group is likely to drive fast and wreck cars for the viewing pleasure of numerous summer moviegoers.

Couples looking for a date-night flick might consider "The Great Gatsby." The remake of this classic film had a May 10 release, and the excitement was bursting at the seams due to Leonardo DiCaprio's role as Jay Gatsby. If you like a bit more action in your date night, another option is "World War Z." The fast-paced zombie apocalypse flick stars Brad Pitt and tells the story of a plague of swift zombies that are unlike anything portrayed by popular zombie television.

Another possible blockbuster is "The Purge," which is likely to be a hit with those who like their summer movies dark and disturbing. The movie, which hits cinemas on June 7, delves into what might happen if there were no consequences associated with crime. When all consequences are suspended for twelve hours and all regulatory and protective offices are closed, a family must fight to save their lives, their relationships, and their own beliefs.

Dozens of other possible blockbusters are being released this summer. Every moviegoer will find something to spark the imagination in the dark cavern of the local movie theater. From heroes to villains, larger-than-life characters are coming to a theater near you this summer.

12. Movie Review: At Any Price

Rating: R (language, sexual content including a strong graphic image)

Length: 105 minutes

Release Date: April 24, 2013

Directed by: Ramin Bahrani

Genre: Drama/Thriller

Henry Whipple (Dennis Quaid) is an aging man who is beginning to wonder what exactly his legacy will be before he retires. He grew up in a sleepy Iowa town as a third-generation farmer and salesman for Whipple Seeds, which sells genetically-modified seeds to area farmers. He wanted the same for his sons Grant (Patrick Stevens) and Dean (Zac Efron), but neither of the boys seems interested in following in their father's footsteps in "At Any Price."

Grant went off to college and decided he wanted to see more of the world, so he dropped out to go climb mountains in Argentina. Dean stayed a little closer to home, competing in local stock car races in the hopes of one day getting into the NASCAR circuit. Henry doesn't understand his boys and has a rather contentious relationship with Dean, who doesn't seem to like his dad very much. Henry puts on a brave face and tries to act like a devoted and secure family man, even as he cheats on wife Irene (Kim Dickens) with the younger Meredith (Heather Graham). His fake smile is also hiding the fact that he is in danger of losing ground in the seed selling business to a rival, which makes him just desperate enough to make a few shady deals that could land him in hot water with the law.

Meanwhile, Dean despises his dad for all the mistakes he has made over the years, but soon finds himself making some of the same mistakes. The one thing in life he never wanted to be was his father, but if he isn't careful, he may become just like him. Once this harsh realization hits, he has to find a way to change the trajectory of his life, just as Henry's life may also be changing. As Dean tries to make a better future for himself, Henry's future is very much in jeopardy due to his backroom dealings. Will the two reconcile and find a greater appreciation for each other, or will they both continue to squander once promising lives at any price?

"At Any Price" is a well-written, well-acted film that is beautiful to watch. The beauty isn't just in the story or performances, but in the way that the Iowa background is used to perfection. Cinematographer Michael Simmonds captures the landscape in a way that is visually stunning to see, whether viewers have actually been to Iowa or not. The camera seems to constantly be floating over the scenic land, even as it is focused in on the characters as they have their moments of quiet desperation. It's beautiful work from Simmonds, who has worked with director Ramin Bahrani on all of his previous four films.

Quaid turns in a very solid and affecting performance as the lead, who serves as both the protagonist and occasional antagonist. He is as much an earnest farmer trying to adjust to a rapidly-changing agricultural marketplace as he is a salesman who will occasionally engage in a few seedy (pun intended) deals in order to get a leg up on the hungry competition. Efron is equal to the task as his angst-ridden son who might have taken up almost any profession as long as he didn't have to work with his dad. The two play off each other really well, which could be because Efron is as handsome and charismatic as Quaid is. In a lot of ways, he is a younger Quaid with equally good acting skills and the same kind of devilish grin that melts women's hearts.

Director Bahrani's films tend to focus on the American Experience as seen through the eyes of immigrants from various parts of the world. In "At Any Price," he takes a huge departure from his normal focus in order to show how the country's landscape has changed through the eyes of people who were born and raised here. There may be no better place to do this than the Midwest, where traditions and values are still very much the norm. As modern comforts like a forty-eight row seed planter clash with the old way of doing things in the film's small town setting, it becomes a metaphor for what is going on all over the country. Bahrani presents the characters and situations, but he is careful never to judge or make a pronouncement about which way is right, instead leaving that to the audience to decide. It's a nice, subtle touch that makes one wonder what Bahrani has up his sleeve for his next film now that he has started to break out of his comfort zone.

15. Questions For Wedding or Event Bands or Musicians

Before meeting with potential bands or musicians to hire for your next event, come up with a list of questions to ask them. You’ll want to investigate whether or not the band or musician you are interviewing is professional. Check their level of professionalism by their website, years in the field, specializations, acknowledgement in the Better Business Bureau and references. Don’t be afraid to ask any questions you may think of during the process, because you’re looking for someone that fits your needs the best. It’s your event and your money, so don’t be afraid to ask as many questions as you need to make an informed and comfortable decision.

An important aspect of hiring a band is the terms of their contract. Make sure you read over all of their terms carefully, and agree to them, before singing on the dotted line. Make sure there are proper cancellation policies and the payment structure is spelled out with payment amounts and dates. Specify all rates you’ve discussed and what’s included in each rate (get an itemized list). Make sure their contingency plans are included with information about who fills in for a band member if they suddenly become ill. Secure the name and phone number of an emergency contact that you can call in the event that something goes wrong with the act or someone doesn’t show up. Also, get a copy of their liability insurance, just in case. You want to cover yourself for any mishaps.

Ask questions about the experience of the members of the band, their equipment (and if they have backups readily available), if they’re part of the agency or contracted out, other talents they may have like being a master of ceremonies and how many breaks they require. Listen to samples of the band and ask why it’s advantageous to have live musicians over having a DJ. Ask questions about their song list, such as what’s included in their library, whether they allow guests to make requests or if they will learn special requests you may have ahead of time. Do they have any specific space, electrical or other requirements? If so, make sure they are provided by your venue. Get specific details about their performances, such as the number of musicians in their ensemble, specializations in music types and ask to meet with the people who will be performing at your event. Be comfortable in advance in order to make a good decision in which you will be happy.

If you have specific requests for the band or musician, make sure you make that known early. If you want them to wear a specific outfit, perform at a unique location or travel far, ask to see if they are willing to do that. Find out if they have any requests or needs from you or the venue. Planning and asking the right questions to the people you hire for your event, will ensure you have a trouble free time.

16. Adult Birthday Games to Liven Up the Party

If you’re looking for some fun ideas to get everyone up and moving, why not try some of our ideas. Below you’ll find several activities that will help get the party started.

“Yes or No Chairs” is a very fun and easy game. You set chairs up in a circle and have everyone sit in them. Pick a host to ask simple yes or no questions. If you answer yes to the question, that guests moves on to the next chair. If the answer is no, they stay in their seat. The first person to make it all the way around the circle first wins. If someone is in the chair, sit on his or her lap.

“The Box Party” is another great way to get people moving. You cut the flaps off of an empty pasta box, place it in the center of the room and then choose an order for all of your guests to pick up the box with their mouth only. They can bend any way they see fit to get the box in their mouth, but their feet are the only things that can touch the floor. Once everyone goes, cut an inch off of the box and watch people tumble to the ground trying to get the box. For this game, all you need is a pasta box and scissors.

Along with those two games, “Hug It Out” is exciting and gets people interacting with one another. Start the party off with this icebreaker where you place all of your guests in a circle with a good amount of space between them. Choose a leader who will yell “Rollup” and everyone will stretch their arms out and keep them separated (ready for a hug). When that person says “Unwind”, everyone finds another guest to hug. By the end, everyone will have hugged everyone.

Getting your male and female guests interacting with each other is also important. “It’s All In Your Head” is an awesome way to do just that. Pair up a male and female guest and give them a small circular object, such as a ball or fruit, which they have to hold between their foreheads. A leader will call out commands that include jumping, walking and moving in different directions. The last pair with the object still between their foreheads, without dropping it, wins.

Finally, a great icebreaker to start the night off is the “Touching Game.” Set rules as to where each person can touch another person so that the game doesn’t get out of hand. Blindfold one person and have them pick out their spouse or loved one from a group of all of the other guests by only touching them. This game gets really funny and will break the ice quick.

These games and many others are perfect for birthday parties. Of course you’ll have to find the perfect set of games to cater to your specific needs, but this list is a great way to get the ball rolling!

17. 3 Ways to Learn How to Win the Lottery

The world economy is not exactly thrilling, and if you're living in the United States, you aren't seeing the big improvements that are promised by the president. Finding a way to make ends meet is difficult, and millions of people can testify to that. Unemployment numbers are up, and money is short all around, however, you can make serious money by learning how to win the lottery. Yes, there are a lot of ways you can generate upwards of multiple millions by simply learning the secrets that are available to you in regards to the lotto. Whether you want to hack the system, or you want to become a number master, there are roads that can be traveled down in which you will make money. It starts with the following 3 ways to master the games.

Studying The Numbers - The first major way to start learning how to win is to study numbers. This is not math; this is a matter of studying the origins of numbers, looking into ordered and structured pairs. This fascinating world will open up a way to understand how the lotto works as a whole and can create a long lasting impression. Face it; you could make serious money if you knew everything there was to know about numerals and repetition. Repetitive nature in numbers is an easy thing to understand, but it won't happen without study.

Sticking to One Game - If you're not the studying type, make sure that you stick to one game only. Make sure that you're playing only one major game at all times. Do not jump around, because you need to stay put with the numbers and the set game you're playing. Stick to only one, and in time, you will become a master. Master the game, win multiple times, and keep playing to get serious money.

Play Often - The last method is something for those that want in for the long run. You will want to play often, even if it means that you're not winning for years. There are some that will throw in the towel after a while, because the big money doesn't come in. If you give up, you can't win. If you think it's a waste of time or you just don't want to play any longer because there's no thrill, do a quick search online for long time lotto players that have won. You'll run into a plethora of stories of people playing for 5 or 10 years and then getting 100 million dollars and beyond. 10 years of playing the lotto daily might amass a few thousand dollars, but compared to triple digit millions? I think the choice is simple, play often.

Whichever way you try to play and win, keep trying, it is not only possible to win; learning how to win the lottery is thrilling. Millionaires are made daily, and there's proof of that online and throughout the news, and you could be next.

18. Digitalization Of Entertainment

Consumers have moved rapidly to adopting digital formats for consuming entertainment-related content. The most obvious example of this is music and video downloads, with Apple’s iTunes and You Tube as leading examples. Apple has sold more than one billion songs via its iTunes music store and it continues to demonstrate a spectacular rate of growth. Over 30,000,000 individuals have purchased an ipod portable music device, and tens of millions of other consumers use one of dozens of other portable devices to listen to music. Other platforms for listening to music are equally successful, and in the case of Microsoft’s Windows Media Player even more dominant with over 90,000,000 systems running the software globally. Real Networks Rhapsody, and Yahoo! Music represent other major entrants in this space. In addition to those companies selling licensed music downloads for a fee, peer-to-peer networks such as Limewire and Morpheus claim to have tens of millions of users sharing music and other files on a continual basis.

As consumers have become comfortable purchasing (and stealing) music online, they are now beginning to download other digital forms of entertainment, including music videos, short-subject films, television shows, and even full-length Hollywood pictures. Traditional media companies have recognized the opportunity to establish new revenue streams and leverage old assets by enabling consumers to download television programming for a fee, and the adoption rate appears to match the early days of music downloading. The increasing penetration of broadband connections (over 50 million homes in the US), advances in software that enables high-quality downloads, and content companies recognizing an enormous opportunity to distribute directly and inexpensively to consumers has created a tidal shift in the number of digital media assets available for download to computers, handheld devices, and even cell phones.

Companies such as YouTube are at the forefront of the intersection of video entertainment and the fragmentation of media due to the empowerment of the consumer. Hundreds of millions of videos are downloaded weekly from YouTube (as well as dozens of competitors), and a significant portion of those videos are not “professionally” produced. More importantly, new talent in various entertainment fields are being discovered through these distribution platforms and forever changing how entertainment is conceived, produced, distributed, and valued.

19. Entertainment And… Insurance?

People usually don’t expect to hear the words “insurance” and “entertainment” in the same sentence. Insurance is something you need, or wish you had, in the event of an emergency or even a tragedy. For example, you need car insurance when you’re involved in an accident, when your car has been vandalized, and even when your car has been stolen. You need homeowner’s insurance if your house catches fire, your valuables are stolen, or someone is injured on your property. You need health insurance to help pay for any kind of medical attention. And you, rather your family members, need life insurance in the event of your death.

Entertainment, on the other hand, is meant to entertain people; to make them smile, laugh, cry – whatever it takes to make them enjoy themselves. Entertainment isn’t about protecting yourself or anyone else. Entertainment is about making sure people have a good, and safe, time.

So, “insurance” and “entertainment” seem to have absolutely nothing in common, right? Wrong. There are many forms of entertainment out there that may make you and your family members wish you had some form of insurance.

Take stunt performers for example. These are the people who step in during television shows and big screen movies to perform the stunt scenes, i.e., the dangerous actions that most actors and actresses aren’t trained to perform, or would simply rather not perform. Stunt performers are also the clowns and lion tamers and tight rope walkers who provide you with entertainment at circuses around the world. Stunt performers are trained professionals who can usually pull of a stunt with what looks like amazing ease and grace; however, accidents do happen. Stunt performances can turn dangerous, causing injuries and sometimes even death. In the event injuries or death occur it’s reassuring to know that some kind of insurance, whether it’s health or life, is there when you and your family members need it.

23. Entertainment Agencies – The Best Way To Find And Book Entertainment

Most people have had or been to an event or party at which they had entertainment. How did they find it? Was it any good? The answer to the first question is they probably used their local telephone directory, the Internet or had seen the act or service personally. The answer to the second question is sometimes yes and sometimes no.

So why use an entertainment agency to find what you are looking for? Well first it takes the hit and miss out of finding what you are looking for, a good entertainment agency has access to lots of different forms of entertainment and will save you the problem of locating it. Secondly a good entertainment agency lives on its reputation, so it is in their interest to make sure that the entertainment they supply is of good quality. As the saying goes, you are only as good as your last event. Imagine you are looking for a band, you can spend ages searching the net only to find that what you want is already booked, and searching can take hours, and do you have that time to spare? If you use the phone to contact entertainers and lets say contact 10 at an average of 3 minutes a call, that is 30 minutes of calls on your telephone bill, it may not seem much but it adds up especially if the contact number is a mobile one. And if you do manage to find what you are looking for how do you know it will be any good? Contacting a reputable entertainment agency takes away all the headaches, as they will do all the work for you.

There are things to bear in mind, a reputable agency has quality acts and services which will be in high demand, so make sure you start looking at least 3 months in advance of an event, don’t leave it until the last minute. Only contact one agency, many top quality agencies work with each other to source your needs, contacting 3 or 4 of them means they are duplicating work, time which could be spent on another client. If you were that other client ask yourself how you would feel, if the agency you were using had lost time they could have been using to help you. Running an entertainment agency we often used to get enquiries from people and start looking for their requirements only to have another agency contact us looking for the same thing for the same person. Nowadays we ask if any other agency is being used and if they are we polity refuse to waste time looking for the same thing, if we are told no other agency is involved and find out otherwise then we will drop the client. Many quality agencies act likewise, so you could find yourself back at square one or using a less than reputable entertainment agency.

The next question many people ask is how much will it cost, the answer is nothing unless you cancel, then you may have to pay a cancellation fee. An entertainment agency makes its money in the form of commission from the acts it represents, in other words they pay us for finding them the work. If you cancel the agency makes no commission, which pays for its time and effort on your behalf, therefore most agencies will make a cancellation charge, after all they have staff to pay just like any business. Similarly you might also have to pay a cancellation charge to an act or service in addition to the agency charge, if you have booked them then they are unable to take on other work for the date in question.

The other question is how long will it take? This can vary, many acts and services are registered with numerous agencies and don’t always keep them informed of availability, secondly each act will charge a fee depending on the factors of the event such as getting to it, possible overnight accommodation etc, so a reputable agency will make contact with them to find if they are available and at what cost. If an act or service is on holiday or working away it may take a while for them to get back to the agency, so allow for this. If you haven’t heard anything from an agency within 3 days then give them a call and ask for an update. A good agency will always tell you if they cannot find what you are looking for or if they have been unsuccessful. If that is the case then you can try another. Remember that with an agency you will get a contract, which will state all the relevant details, and you will have a legal document to give you peace of mind.

24. Corporate Entertainment Events in Toronto

Corporate entertainment events are those events which a company or organization hold for their clients, staff or shareholders; it is a good way in cementing business relations. They can be for a large audience like conventions or smaller ones like retreats. Many corporate events in Toronto usually happen once or twice in a year. Most companies go to extreme lengths to make these events as memorable as possible. There are different ways that can be employed to make an event successful. The most common are where companies hire event organizers or corporate booking agencies.

Companies mostly hire a whole agency that covers all the things that can make a corporate event successful, while others choose to hire individuals rather than a whole agency, which they most likely, cannot do without other activities, depending on the event size and the sponsors’ objective. Most agencies in Toronto cover aspects like food, sports and games, hotel bookings and so on. When a company hires an individual to cover their event, they mostly go for comedians or a DJ who can also double up as a Master of Ceremony (MC).

DJ’s are especially the most common sort after ‘commodities’ in corporate entertainment events in Toronto. Most companies hire the services of a good DJ who doubles up as an MC who can keep the crowd alive. A good DJ reads the mood of the audience and can know when the crowd is low or up-beat. Most Toronto DJ’s have websites so that companies can get them easily and even make payments through the internet. Even if a company is holding a team building event, it has become increasingly important to hire a DJ to judge the mood of the audience. Like most other event agencies, the services of a DJ should be hired in advance, with a down payment, so as not to collide with another event that the DJ may have, to agree on the price and to also prepare adequately.

A company that goes for an event agency has many choices to look at. Most of these agencies offer sporting facilities like a golf course, bowling alley, a soccer pitch and others. If the event is lasting for a weekend, these can be good as one will play one sport for one day and the next day another sport. There can also be an event whereby a corporate member or a client or a shareholder, can come with his or her family members where there is a special location for children to engage in their own fun and games. Corporate entertainment has proved to be a lucrative business in Toronto. Corporate entertainment events have been on the rise in recent days with some of the agencies offering corporate entertainment services also offering wedding and birthday parties. So whether it is an agency running a corporate function, or individuals like comedians and DJ’s, there should be the need to stress that the event should be as vibrant as possible, with as few hitches as possible.
