1. Synopsis

Alfred Boyarsqueek has a problem. Ok, he has two problems; the first is that everyone keeps calling him Alfredo. It’s an easy name, why the confusion? The second it that today is Wednesday, the official Pizza day of the Boyarsqueek household for the last one hundred or so years. This normally wouldn’t be a problem but today of all days he lost all the cheese out the window and since his family will ONLY eat Pizza, today, he needs to go outside. No one in this family of mice has gone outside in quite a long time… stories abound of how the off-kilter world will make you go mad, or if Uncle Mice-langelo is right… green. But Alfredo, I mean Alfred, must make the Pizza and so he journeys out into the leaning world.
While outside he sees that in his hometown of Pisa, Italy the only thing leaning is the tower he lives in. His family has been looking out the window and thinking that the rest of the world was slightly off, but it was really them! But the family doesn’t believe Alfredo, I mean Alfred, and he must come up with a plan to convince them the truths they have always accepted aren’t always right. So he goes on an adventure around the world finding new foods and taking pictures of all the places he goes. And when he comes back home to his leaning tower in Pisa he has a plan.
Every day his family eats the same foods; Monday Spaghetti and Meatballs, Tuesday Manicotti, Wednesday Pizza and so on. But when he makes the Monday Spaghetti he adds a slight twist… It’s not Spaghetti at all! It’s Chow Mien! The family is fooled and loves it! They start to look at the pictures and see that the world is not crooked after all, and they start a new tradition. This tradition involves lots of travel, and new foods from around the world for all to try. But no matter what, every Sunday they have Gelato because some traditions sure are sweet!
