I'm doing a book for a birthday boy :) this is a lit-tle sneak peek on the progress, how interesting.. :)

A Family New Year e-card with personification from the Chinese new year zodiac for each of my family member, as the Chinese New year will come this end of January, just think it's a preliminary card for the Chinese New Year and also for 'this' New Year.. :)

I've been making this turtle character for an I-Phone games called 'The Hungry Turtle", this little guy have to be a smart, lazy but cute turtle that wondering into tons of challenge on each level, he's got to find his way to the apple and eat it. There are a lot of levels with different background, and I love the process of making each background.. :)
Making an illustration for games is fun, and the people I worked with is great and very cooperative. Glad I have this chance!

There's a little bit euphoria about 'Tintin' in my house recently, I've been a fans of
Herge since I'm in elementary school, my dad was a huge fans of Tintin too, there's always a quarrel between us, there's 6 of us, about who's gonna read it first...
Now it is a little bit melancholic for me, it's more than an ordinary piece of a comic book, the way it make my daughter laugh, the way it 'still' and 'used to' make me laugh, there's something classical inside it..
and I'm glad the movies captured my expectation of the character quite well, but still, I love the books more :)

Ke Art Museumnya Singapore, kebetulan pas lagi ada children art exhibition, jadi puas deh, anaknya demen, emaknya juga hehe!
:: Ini Walter the bunny, you can see but you can't touch. Sempet "baru' mau megang balonnya, namanya juga anak2, guardnya langsung lompat dan bikin anak2 pucat :D. See? That's why it's written do not touch.. !

Ceritanya agenda hari ketiga adalah ke Singapore Zoo, udah nge-print jadwal shuttle bus dari internet, dan schedule ini itu dari websitenya singapore zoo, dan berasumsi kalau shuttle itu akan stand by ditempatnya, langsung deh kita cabut ke lokasi shuttle busnya Singapore Zoo terdekat, dan torerojing..!
:: Slurpee everybody? and Bollywood movie?Ternyata ditempat lokasi waktu itu di The Verve deket Little India, ngak ada shuttle yang dimaksud, tanya kiri kanan, jawabnya don't know, ada yang menyarankan naik bus, kita jalan lagi nyebrang, cari bus yg dimaksud, eeh.. kata drivernya, no no, no, singapore zoo... *_*" erggggg...., akhirnya kita ke MRT terdekat, daripada pusing akhirnya naek MRT aja deh, yang pasti2... makan waktu kurang lebih 45 menit cuman buat tanya2 dan jalan ngiter2 ga jelas tujuannya.. anak2 juga mulai bawel, akhirnya mampir ke 7 eleven, nyogok permen dan slurpee, biar pasukan kecil ini 'semangat' lagi..
Pelajaran yang diambil: MRT lebih afdol, setelah itu mau ngelanjutin pake bus, lebih pasti dibandingin pake shuttle bus *tnyt mereka ngak ngetem tapi cuman lewat di lokasi yang sudah ditentukan, dan lewatnya dimana juga ngak diinfokan, apakah didepan lokasi yang ditulis atau di halte atau dimananya.. ngak jelas..
Kedua, susah euy ngertiin Inggrisnya orang India! *tepok jidat sembari goyang2 leher.. , jadi kalo nanya direction, siap2 aja ya har har har

Backpackeran ke Singapore :)
Beli tiket jauh2 hari di Air Asia, pertama kali naik air asia, makanannya cukup mahal untuk turis backpacker sekitar 20 ribu untuk sepotong sandwich sampai 40 ribu untuk yang full meal, seperti sudah diperkirakan, delay 1 jam, jadi kalau yg rencana bawa anak, siap2 bawa maenan dan activity stuff biar mereka nggak bosen ya :D
Dua, dari Changi ke China Town naik MRT, jadi bawa koper secukupnya biar ngak cape nyeret2, kita nginep di China town apt. daaaaan... ngak bisa tidur karena rame, rame disini adalah rame suasana diluar, dan rame karena dindingnya tipis, jadi begitu ada tetangga ngapa2in, kedengeran deh semuanya.. , untung cuman sehari ,
dan siapa bilang anak2 ngak bisa diajak backpacker, mereka tidur pules sementara ortunya yang manja ngak bisa tidur.. :D
:: Pagi2, sarapan dibawah Peoples's Park apt., cakwenya enaaaak, lunpianya enaak, susu kacangnya enaaak... dan harganya kl ga salah 2$ dapet 3 potong.. :D, banyak hawker2 disini, dan untuk porsi orang Indo, porsinya gedee.. jadi deh saya makan satu piring selalu berdua sama Mika

:: nguber2 burung dara yang banyak berkeliaran dibawah..
:: Ngajarin anak2 tentang cara naek MRT, banyak kehebohan :D, dari cara ngeliat map, cara swiping card, beli tiket sekali pakai dan ngerubutin uang receh, belajar ngantri, balajar kebersihan... a lot to learn..
:: Cape? tentu sajaaa hehe.. tapi kan seru, yg penting banyak bawa minum dan santai..
Ini di Marina Bay, pergi naek MRT, jalan ke Marina, ada mallnya, jalan lagi, mampir ke museum sciencenya, jalan lagi.. yang enaknya, asal berbekal sepatu yang enak, jalan jauh ga masalah, krn trotoarnya gedee.. dan ada kanopinya, jgn lupa bawa payung dan topi..

Kelir (Children Book Illustrator) join Goelali again this year, we make a simple paper craft workshop for the children, the theme is to make your own papercraft model that they like, his/ her can be a superheroes, princes, even themselves, the concept is to teach the children to explore more about the character..

- Trus superheronya bisa apa? Dia bawa apa? *berusaha mengarahkan anak supaya berimajinasi lebih tentang si superhero ini

Got the biggest rice cracker from Palembang.. its already exist since I was a kids and up till now they still.. :D
Been busy doing these series, books series about a little boy named Alvin, this one is about what to do when you loose your baby tooth :). There will be 6 series about Alvin, I'll post about it later.. :)
Psst, don't you just love the unbalanced teeth? They're soo big.. well it's because the children face are still growing, so the unbalanced proportion of their teeth is so cute.. I do think so!
I just love.. loveee.... Ghibli.. what else can I say.. :)
