1. all in one day

You gotta look down to look up...

Why? 'Coz he said so.

Charles River. Boston and Cambridge.

A dirty snowbank that looked like a gorilla head.

...see what I mean?

Seeing the world a little differently right now.

...and back home to my lovely little Daisy waiting for me.

2. Renovating

Matt and I will be moving into our new place soon. But before it is inhabitable by humans, an almost-complete interior renovation is needed.

We've been in the midst of this for over a month now. I've never been involved in anything like this. While I knew it would be a new experience and was prepared for that aspect, there's no way I could have fully prepared for the total emo-clash I've got going on. The large project that has turned into a huge one.

Right now, it's all rubble, broken bricks and raw ceiling beams. But things are finally coming together bit by bit, and slowly we are able to envision what is to come.

For instance, when we started, the second floor ceilings were just over 6 head-grazing feet high. Now, they will be 9 feet high! The added height will make all the difference in the world in such a cozy little space.

3. Welcome to my Saturday

Welcome to my Saturday. Today is a GREAT day... Busy!

First things first! Woke up to an Etsy email from someone asking about my Starry Eyed Surprise iphone case. So I snapped a shot of my own (I have that exact one) and also answered some questions about it.

Ran out for my hair cut...

then shipped out a couple big prints to their new home

on the way home-- WOW- What luck - got a fresh baked baguette to go with...

the stew I made last night. Yum! Had lunch with Matt, then...

a quick laugh before I head back out.

Pre-work preparation!

Welcome to my office! My spot at the library.
Getting down some greeting card ideas today.

I also rediscovered this awesome Lynda Barry book.
(Almost bought this year ago at the Brookline Booksmith, but didn't)

On the way home, I picked up a few things at the grocery store...

...also picked up a little treat for someone waiting at home (hint: not Daisy)

Finally home! Writing more cards. Good night!
