“Así empezó todo, bajo la sombra de un árbol nacieron las palabras, las historias, los relatos. Y la vida fue más fantástica. Se llenó de emociones”.
Escritos en la corteza es una selección de mitos y leyendas que los pueblos del mundo atribuyen a los árboles, y que tuve el placer de ilustrar hace poco. El autor del texto es Ernesto Rodríguez Abad, se publica en la Serie Azul de Alfaguara. Trece cuentos para disfrutar y reflexionar.

Written in the bark is a selection of myths and legends that people around the world has attributed to trees. I had the pleasure of illustrate these tales recently. The author of the text is Ernesto Rodriguez Abad, and it has been published in Alfaguara. Thirteen stories to enjoy and reflect.

Estoy muy feliz de participar este año en la 30ª Mostra Internazionale d'Illustrazione per l'Infanzia "Le Immagine della Fantasia", que se inaugurará en octubre en la localidad italiana de Sàrmede. Cuatro originales del libro "Por qué los gatos no llevan sombrero", escrito por Victoria Pérez Escrivá y editado por Thule estarán expuestos en la sección de Panorama. Además, la exposición temática de este año “The Palace of the Imagination”, tratará sobre cuentos tradicionales venidos de Rusia. Esta ilustración pertenece al cuento popular "El pájaro de Fuego", de Alexandr N. Afanasiev.

I am so glad I have been selected at the 30th International Exhibition of Illustrations for Children "Le Immagine della Fantasia", in Sàrmede, Italy. Originals of the book "Why cats don't wear hat" will be at the exhibition in Panorama section. Also this illustration about the popular Russian tale "The Firebird" of Alexandr N. Afanasiev, will be at the themed section dedicated to fairytales, stories and traditional tales from Russia.
