There's only four books in the Twilight series. What should you recommend to tweens and teens that just can't get enough vampires?

Sometimes I really love books. Sometimes I like them. Sometimes I don't like them. And sometimes...I just don't really know how I feel about a book when I finish them. Persistence of Memory is one of those in the last category. I didn't NOT like this one. I didn't LOVE it...and I'm not even sure I liked it...but it was intriguing, that's for sure!
Persistence of Memory is written by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, a writer that published her first novel when she was just a girl in her mid-teens and has since become widely popular in the young adult fantasy genre. She gives us the character of Erin Misrahe, a teenager that has had more of her fair share of mental and emotional issues. When she's stressed or overly anxious, she has another personality...a young woman named Shevaun, that is quite the opposite of Erin. Shevaun kills people, Erin is a sweet girl, mixed up in a crazy mental state.
When an old friend comes back into Erin's life, he insists that Shevaun exists seperately from Erin, that she is real. And she's a vampire. Shevaun's has some pretty dangerous people on her side, all of whom are determined to sever the connection between the two girls, by killing Erin. Erin really has to fight for her life, still not knowing if she's just crazy or if Shevaun is really someone out to kill her.
I was just plain confused through this whole book. Maybe I just had a lack of in-depth reading ability while I had this in my hands, but I spent most of my time trying to figure out what the heck was going on. Is Shevaun real? Is Erin crazy? Is Erin crazy AND is Shevaun real? I was intrigued, pulled into the story, and I can definitely see the appeal of this author, I just don't think I was crazy about this particular plot. Can't win them all I suppose!

I feel the same way about a book I just finished- don't know if I like it or not, can't decide if I want to keep it on my shelf, or give it away!
I have found myself feeling like that after I read some of her other works...at times I thought she was hard to follow.
