Not Your Mother's Book Club is a YA literary salon in San Francisco. This is our blog, where we post news, reviews, contests and author interviews.
1. recaps and nextups

Last Monday was our Not Your Mother's Book Club event with John Green & David Levithan, in celebration of their new book WILL GRAYSON WILL GRAYSON. C'est Madness!

HOLY WOW was it big. Here's the deal with cramming this many people into a small space. It's hot. Hot, like JUNGLE hot. But the boys did well and signed about a thousand books and everyone was very exhausted and happy at the end of it all. Well, by "everyone" I mean, I was exhausted and happy and I think everyone else was too.

Heidi R. Kling, Bloggiste extraordinaire and author of the upcoming SEA, has a great recap of the event with loads of pictures posted, go check it out. (She even has a real camera with a zoom lens and all, much better than my craptastic phone cam.)

Last night was our first ever Not Your Mother's Book Club Berkeley event, with PIZZA, and authors CJ Omololu, Susane Colasanti, Michael Grant, Jenny Han & Beth Fantaskey. They were all so super-nice and really inspirational, and of course the one picture I took during the event came out blurry like a madman, so... the adorable Cynthia has blogged about it with good pix. It was her very first author event and she handled herself like a champ. Brava!

Now... as to what is coming up next, mark these on your calendars:
