Ron Hirschi's newest book,
ADVENTURES IN ALASKA
was reported as
BESTSELLER
on Marrowstone Island at the island's major bookseller,
coffee shop, and gathering place,
THE NORDLAND STORE
Commenting on the recent success of the book, island residents
were happy to hear a local writer making this most coveted listing.
The island, also a home of other writers including the author of
the book made into movie fame about vampires,
is well known for its literary ways,
great clams and oysters,
the annual New Years Polar Bear Dip,
and world famous Tractor Days.
Contacted just before press time, author Ron Hirschi is quoted as saying,
"Good friends having babies and grandbabies might just make it all the
more important for keeping real books a part of our lives. It's still nice
to cuddle up with a real book, reading to your child -- and all the more
