Writing Tips and More
1. Marketing Children’s Books

Marketing is not my specialty but I’ve run across a great source of info. When you buy the 2010 Children’s Writer’s & Illustrator’s Market, published by Writer’s Digest Books, you’ll get a code for a free subscription to their online database and daily newsletter. The newsletter provides up to the minute info on editors, agents, and more. The code will also get you a downloadable 62-page book chock full of information. Though the 2010 Market is a bit pricey — $29.99 — in and of itself it’s a good resource, and the additional perk of the newsletter and additional book (usually $15) makes it well worth the cost. Not to mention, you’ll have full access to the WritersMarket.com website, which is a subscription-only affair.
