1. At least now, I know

Last October, I got up the nerve to send one of my PB to Walker & Co.  Although I had the same hopeful enthusiasm I always have with my submissions, I was REALLY excited about this one because I had heard they would respond within 20 weeks.

So I waited . . . and waited . . . and waited . . . and waited.

Finally last month I called the submissions line (which I had a difficult getting through since the merger with Bloomsbury) and I spoke to a very nice gal who told me they had already gone through the submissions from last October.  She said if I didn't hear anything in 2 weeks, that I should resubmit.

The 2 weeks were up in June 19th.

I debated about resubmitting.  I wondered why I hadn't heard ANYTHING since I had included a letter-sized SASE for a response.  So I figured it must have gotten lost.

Well today I received a letter . . . in my own handwriting . . . and got a final answer.

Oh well . . . back to my novel.
