I have never seen a polar bear outside a zoo. My first experience in the Mexico City zoo was such that I could only feel bad for them, wrong climate and the pen was a sad imitation of the real ice and snow setting. In Orlando at SeaWorld I though the bears have such an AMAZING place, but after watching the BLACK FISH documentary on CNN, I am shocked by what they have done to the whales and cannot help but question how other animals are treated. Sorry I have missed the posts of late, I love them and learn so much. In April 2015 you should join the
#AtoZchallenge and your theme can be an endangered species each day in Alphabetical order… This year we are already in R and linked to over 2,000 Bloggers world wide.

Hi Catalina. How nice to hear from you. I haven’t seen Black Fish, but Sea World seems to be experiencing a lot of problems at the moment. I’m afraid my opinion is it should be closed down. I’m glad the polar bears sound safe though, and you are so lucky to have seen one. But Mexico City sounds a bit challenging when it comes to keeping Arctic animals – LOL.
I would love to join your A – Z Challenge. I would not be able to write separate posts, though. These take days and days of research and formatting. Would I be able to re-use what I have? Because I would be really happy to participate. Thank you so much for thinking of me. Take care for now, my friend. ~ Amelia
