I’ve finally figured out how to make Facebook work for me. It used to seem like a waste of time, with people sending me applications I had no interest in, or poking me or some silly thing.

Someone asked me today, during an audio interview, who digital citizens are. She argued that the people attending the launch party of the Digital Citizen Indaba were not representative of ordinary African citizens, who still have little to no access to media tools that would enable them to tell their stories. The event started today with a launch party,and the main conference is tomorrow all day.

I've previously mentioned that I've been asked to present a blogging workshop by an industry association. Well, that organisation is the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators ( Gauteng) and the workshop I present will be part of the programme for first half of 2008.

Today I set up Google Ads to try to see if this blog can earn its way. Essentially, if you click on the ad, I earn a couple of cents (US) regardless of whether you buy something or not.

i find facebook is user friendly to stay in touch with a network of people that you work with,as i been involved in music scene for awhile it helped me open more doors and also keep those relationships close
